Peischelspitze 2.424m - Über das Wildtal auf den Gipfel

SwissAlps100 2024 - 102,5km and 6.120vm // my hardest race so far!
Ran the SwissAlps100 as my kinda A-Race this year. The race had a fantastic scenery but the heat was brutal and really took my everything to finish in an okey-ish time. Originally planned to run sub-16 hours but messed up hydration and nutrition twice during the race so I fell behind and finished in 19:09hrs. Still good - but I definitely had more in me that day... Gletscher Trailrun - Trailmarathon durch das Ötztal

While climbing Hohes Brett 2.341m (mountain in the near background at 01:00min) I took the opportunity to film the Kehlsteinhaus in the German Alps. It was build 1937 as a residence for the elite of the German Reich, mainly Adolf Hitler. Beautifully situated above Bischofswiesen, arguably one of the most beautiful places in the German Reich, Hitler only visited it around 10 times as he didn't d...

This is a short summit video of our climb to Chimborazo. Due to the elliptical form of earth it's actually 1,8km further away from earths core than Mount Everest. As we all had to fight with a bad stomach bug, I was the only one out of our group to make it to the summit. I used the DJI Air2S to shoot all of the footage. How much it cost
We had a combined package together with Baruntse, so I can't tell how much Mera alone is Also highly depends on how many porters, how many/which Sherpas or company so - hard to tell. But something between 2.000 and 3.000€ seems reasonable
He Klasse!
Amazing 👏
Truly an amazing day. Especially since I had the summit to myself
Why do you (also) say that Mera is the highest trekking peak in Nepal when the NMA trekking peak list has Chulu Central at 6558 meters and Singu Chuli at 6501 meters? SImply look at the list before writing such nonsense easily verified. Ok, here is the reason for the confusion: the original trekking peak list had the height of Peak 41 (shown in the video) for Mera, over 6650 meters. This mistake was not found out until 1999. Agencies still use the old "highest trekking peak" slogan in their advertising (knowingly or not, they should know, of course) and of course clients want to repeat that in social media just spreading the lie, without bothering to check the facts.
As another comment already stated, it's up for discussion what the highest trekking peak is. Muztagh Ata or Aconcagua could be considered as well. But as trekking is considered to be a relatively safe sport with view objective risks etc. I think Mera is the right call, as it has good infrastructure, well laid out routes and hardly any fatalities.
@@adidoesultra9777 I am not commenting about Aconcagua or Muztagh Ata, only about Trekking Peaks of Nepal, of which Mera is the THIRD highest, no discussion needed about this fact.
I have climbed this summit in 1998. Best expérience in m'y life Thank you for this video
Happy you liked the video. It's definitely in my top moments of my life so far! Such an incredible view!
The way I did it: 1) from Dingpoche to bit past Chukhung, camping. 2) half day to Amphu Labtsa Phedi, camp. 3) over Amphu Labtsa to east side of Peak 41, camp. 4) to Mera La 5400m, camp. 5) start at 6 am, summit Mera central 10.00, down to camp, take it down, continue to Thagnak, arrive 14.00. overnight in yak herder hut 6) hike to leaning rock camp, sleep out. 7) over Zatrwa La to Lukla. No lodges, no services, no trekkers, no permits. Year: 1985. I can not understand why people start from "high camp" at midnight, should take no more than 3 hours max form there.
Well we started at 02:15am and it took us 04:30hrs to get to the summit. Everyone has their own pace and that's fine. No need to rush. If you've done it differently - congrats. Doesn't mean that's for everyone or that it's the best way to do it
Very good!!! (I'm jealous of you^^ I only went up to 6,400 meters.)
Still good, getting down safely is the most important part of any mountain!
Can we rent out the equipment and do we need to have a guide for this trek, thank you
I don't know if a guide is mandatory or not, but definitely recommended. You can rent the equipment (boots, crampons etc) at Khare
Is a guide mandatory and is so, are there any links to recomended ones? Thank you
I don't know if a guide is mandatory, but we met some guys who just did it on their own. You can always hire a guide in the villages below, especially Khare
This is one of the best vlogs on YT so far on Mera Peak ❤❤❤ Are we allowed to bring drones in this region unlike sagarmatha national park region ?
Thank you very much :) Drones are only allowed if you can get a permit from the government which is really hard to get...
Sehr cooles Video.
What do you suggest if someone crosses Mera Pass from Thangnag/Khare and continues trekking toward Amphu Labtsa Pass? From there, can we descend to Everest Base Camp/Imja Lake?
That would be the same trek as our team did but in reverse. I have never been there, so I can't really comment on your suggestions... Maybe you'll find more content on UA-cam for that region
Of course it is possible, takes a few days and fixed ropes on the North side of Amphu Labtsa. From acclimatisation standpoint it is better to visit EBC first, then cross Amphu Labtsa, climb Mera and exit to Lukla. Takes about a week less. We hiked Dingpoche - AL - Mera - Zatrwa La - Lukla in 7 days, could have done it in 6 actually.
Great video! You had amazing weather and quite a good pace I must say. Can you tell me what dates you did it? I was planning for early-May next year
We summited on the 7th October, so autumn season
Thank you so much for this incredible video. I just returned from Nepal and did the EBC trek. It was amazing, but now I want to do Mera Peak. I was wondering what kind of drone you used. Thanks for your time.
Hope you enjoyed EBC, I've actually never been there. I used the DJI Air 2S for all the drone footage. The tricky part is getting a permit in Nepal, it's pretty much impossible...sadly
@@adidoesultra9777 Yeah, I went back and read some of the comments on your videos, and saw the part about the permits….that is sad! Your footage was stunning and inspiring! Thank you!
Hi, really enjoy the video (and so many important information!). Would you mind to share the cost of this expedition so can estimate and find the proper mountaineering company for my plan to Baruntse?
I cannot recommend Namas Adventure for Baruntse, as said in the video. You'd have to have a look at more experienced companies, I think adventure consultants offers Baruntse as well. Or ask around. The whole trip was about 13.000€
How can someone die from Altitude sickness on mount Mera when the entire trip to it takes nearly 2 weeks. There is more than enough time to a climate to 6km+ altitude?
It should be, yes. But we don't know about underlying health issues or problems during the acclimatization phase (GI issues, flu etc). This really impacts how well you acclimatizate and may lead to AMS or worse
"nearly 2 weeks" is enough to kill people, rasonably safe Mera climb takes almost 3 weeks.
lukla airport looks terrifying!
It's fun and terrifying at the same time! Definitely an adventure!
Wow, your channel is amazing. It makes me want to get out and see more of the world!
Thanks man, means a lot to me! Go out and enjoy the nature
awesome. what was the price of that expedition?
The expedition was around 7.000€ and with hotels, summit tip etc I payed around 8.000€ Its actually quite cheap for such an expedition and speaks to the company. They don't offer luxury, but solid service for a fair price!
@@adidoesultra9777 thanks mate!
Did you climb Baruntsee without guide/sherpa?
No, we had Sherpas and a guide (head Sherpa) with us. It's required in Nepal and we couldn't do it without
Fantastic Video. I am intending to do Mera Peak in 2025. Any recommendations are more than welcome.
Well if you have any questions, feel free to ask them! I'll try my best to answee
@@adidoesultra9777 Thanks. 1. How many days to arrive to Mera Peak? 2. I intend to do as well, have a helicopter pick up in the Mera Peak region and fly back to Lukla. how long was that flight? 3. is the trail up in Mera Peak mark? 4. looks in the video not much tourist or groups going up Mera Peak 5. How is the weather going up to Mera Peak Summit, temp you can expect? 6. i saw you flying the drone. did you need a permit? last year i did not get a permit, i was not aware and the police was waiting on me on one of the check points. since that was told to my guide, we left the drone in one tea house and continue the expedition to everest base camp without the drone. thanks
1.I don't know it by memory, but depends on which route you take and how many rest days you take. 2. Heli flight is short, maybe 15min 3. The trail isn't really marked, but it's easy to follow, especially with maps and waysigns 4. The day before we're a lot of groups and on our day about 8 groups as well, but we we're first, so not many people there 5. Weather is always an issue and hard to predict, but -20°C and some wind is to be expected. 6. I was exempted from the need of a drone permit due to professional reasons/connections. But normally you do need one which is hard to get
Hello, Brazil here! First of all, congratulations for such an awesome journey and so beautifully made video! Please, what company did you hire to these trekkings? Do you recommend them? Mera Peak is very easy to find companies to hire, but Baruntse is kind hard to find.
Thanks man! I went with Namas Adventure but honestly can't recommend them. There were quite a few things that went wrong that just can't go wrong on a trip like that. I know, only a few companies offer it, that's why I went with namas in the first place...
@@adidoesultra9777 please, another question...do you think a double boot is enough to Baruntse or it's mandatory triple boots like those used in Everest?
Congratulations on finishing this tough 100K! 💪 And for making this incredible video. 👏Thank you for running with us this year.🤜🤛
I'll definitely be back in the future!
@@adidoesultra9777 We would love that!
Well done on the finish! I finished an hour behind you - my video will be uploaded soon 🤞🏻
Ah yeah, I remember seeing you from time to time!
Amazing race!!! Looks beautiful!! Congratulations, I think you did great!!! 🏆
Thank you 😘
Aconcagua is the world’s highest trekking peak
There's an argument to be had which the highest trekking peak is, as did others comment. There's no glacier on Aconcagua which is a no-go for me
Is Aconcagua not trekking peak?
@@adidoesultra9777 In Nepal Chulu Central 6558 m and Singu Chuli 6501 m are both higher than Mera. No argument about that, see the NMA trekking peak list.
I will do it soon
It's definitely worth it!
@@adidoesultra9777 I’m fit and doing this first time. What is your advice?

👏🏻👏🏻
Good job!!! 👏🏻 really nice trail!
Thank you! Not as beautiful as the MountainMan in the Grossarltal, but still a nice scenery :)
Very nice filming 😻 I also didn’t hear good about this company 🙄 you guys were at the crox of the route and many team stopped there due to lack of fixed ropes. What was your drone model ? Thanks Adrian
Now you heard about it. It's a bit weird, cause their Annapurna IV expeditions are and we're quite successful. I have the DJI Air2S which served me really well so far
I think, it's not Cho oyu. It's Gyachung Kang.
Someone else commented on it already, you're right.
Wow ❤❤❤❤ lots of love for uploading video
