What was the reason for cut and polish after the paint was done?? Imperfections?
@@D.s182 nah it was just a light buff to cut out some grit that found its way into the paint👍
The flooring job is awesome
put Nylac on the polished aluminium. Seems to work well and for a very long time.
Hey Mate thanks for posting this video, it's awesome seeing the boat finally being enjoyed haha. Hope you get loads of fish.
Cheers mate🍻🍻
mate do u mind me asking what pe rod and line u use for mackies, im a gt fisho so I got pretty much all heavy gear.
Hi mate, I use a Venom stickbait 7’11 2 piece 30-50lb with a max cast weight of 100 grams with a Daiwa Catalina 5000 rigged with 50lb braid. I usually run a 80lb leader purely for abrasion resistance, but if the miss the target, it’s all over unless you run wire. If their thick wire will be ok but it can spook them if they’re being picky🎣🎣
I have been waiting for a build like this mate. I love your other builds so am so keen to see what you do with a project in an affordable price range for weekend bashing. Will be watching with great interest and can’t wait to see how it all comes together! Tight lines mate. 👌
Thanks mate, so keen to tidy this little beast up, something for everyone🎣🎣🍻
i run a small side console tinny and always on my own so i keep movable ballast on deck in the form of a 100l esky and a box of sinkers.
Yeh that’s what I was thinking also, just chuck my gear on the other side to help👍
Thats bloody awsome 😍
Bro you overtook us going over 80 in an 80 zone
Oh yeh, sounds about right🤷♂️
Great vid man love your channel 👍
Thanks heaps mate, really appreciate it🎣🎣
Do you sell these in Florida or any part of the US?
@@Coleen-Love no we don’t sorry
@@excessivefishingaustralia2849 ...hmmm.. seems like Australia has the best alluminum outboard fishing boats. Not sure why that is or why in the US it's all fiberglass. Weird. What am I missing on this issue? Is there something different about your waters or something? How did this ever happen?
Was nice to meet you at the boat show mate. I was in the process of buying my dream boat at the time 😁 Also if you ever feel like a visit to Broome drop me a line brother
Thanks mate great to meet ya too. I will hold ya to that, real keen on a Barra mission to the Fitzroy soon as possible😎🍻🍻🎣🎣

@@ethanmann8 yeh bro they were off their heads🤣
Great video. Felt like I was there 😂. 👍
You look familiar btw😉
@@excessivefishingaustralia2849 I’m frothing for next year.
Yeh can’t wait🙌
I've got a 2022 Trophy and although had a few niggles which all covered under warranty, the Trophy is awesome for fishing. I've been 20k offshore (with all safety gear and then some) and it handles most conditions with ease. I like the tow tap fitted, must get one myself though a lot of Seadoo dealers will not fit them in case of issues and possible warranty issues...I clocked 240hrs of running time, most of that trolling. Load up on accessories from GC Jet Ski, Jetcast for some really cool and practical fishing stuff!
@@DarrenDickerson-m7c that’s awesome to hear, the tow tap is something ya got to be carefull about, basically if you leave it off and run the ski it’s your own problem, no warranty👌
how much did it cost for the whole u deck floor? @excessivefishingaustralia2849
Roughly 10k
What was the ba park figure Az to get it painted ? 😊
Hi mate, we painted it ourselves then I got it wrapped
@@excessivefishingaustralia2849 ah ok 👍 I'm looking to do a similar job, I'm going to go speak to the guys at 4 Signs about a wrap, just trying to get ball park figures prior to seeing them 👌👌👍
You mind telling how much you sold this for?
North of 250k
@@excessivefishingaustralia2849 cheers mate, sick weapon, you reckon driving comfort wise you would rate this centre cab (helm weight distributed in middle of the boat) over the other 8.5 full front cabin you have(helm weight distributed at front makes it feel bumpy going over chops and swells). Thinking of getting a set up 8.5m similar to this centre cab set up. but being 8.5m did you find it a bit big towing it around etc? (I currently own a 7.5 Coraline Cuddy Cabin) i find it way too bumpy giving me sore back driving it even tho having good deck space being a Cuddy Cabin. thanks!
@@maniyhy9451 no wokkas mate. The centre cab is definitely a better setup for fishing, the fact you can move around the whole boat, as for the ride I wouldn’t say the forward cabin was worse, but the boat itself handled a lot different. The centre cab was better in a sense that it would get up on top of chop and just fly across the top, you could go faster in the rough, where as the forward cabin was a bull dozer, just smashed through the rough, both super comfy, these hulls ride so good. As for towing, your towing 7.5m, not much different in the 8.5. I’d go 8.5 all day, you will never look back and go “I wish I had a smaller boat”😝
@@excessivefishingaustralia2849 haha, thanks for sharing it mate, exactly what I wanna hear and definitely going for 8.5 in that case hoping to keep the weight under 3.5T for as i tow with a ford ranger. what about 2.7 beam you found it inconvenient having the over-sized restriction? Apparently you not allowed to tow in on freeways night time and thats the only difference. And being black boat does it absorb a lot of heat and looks dusty very easily? I can tell a lot of thoughts you had put into the boats you built, how long the the whole building, paint and fit out process took? Sorry about all those questions as I wanna make sure I have a good thought about how I want it to turn out etc cheers mate!
Damn I’d love to go fishing with you one day, what a nice boat and some great fish!
fishing boats are all about space, keeping it simple and spacious is all what a fisher need
How fast are you guys trolling Az ? 😊
Hey meet, we were trolling at around 8kn
How much did the vessel set you back?
I think the boat belongs to one of the blokes who owns the company that builds these. But good question, I wouldn’t mind knowing myself… just to see how much I can’t afford it😂
Hi mate, give Aris a call at oceanic fabrication regarding price as I have no idea what it cost to build🎣
@@excessivefishingaustralia2849 Will do mate, thanks for that. Congrats on the channel too, some really informative stuff in the walk through vids of your own boats. It’s good to hear what works and what doesn’t from somebody who’s actually done a few builds. It’s a good insight for those of us looking at doing a custom build for the first time. Keep the awesome content coming🤙🏻
@@colinreed6490 thanks heaps mate🙌🎣
Really good to see something different with a smaller boat, bloody good boat
Great purchase, what a mean fishing platform. May i ask how much you paid for fishpro trophy?
@@myunghong9004 Hi mate, sorry for the late reply, I paid just over 30k👍
Still should be bikes only
@@joshsmith9058 yeh I don’t mind seeing the trucks n buggies, but the bikes are where the real men come out to play💪
Not happy with the always running bildge. I have to put a Tow valve in my 2024 FPT it didn't come with it from my dealer. And I do need to put bigger tires on my stock Triton trailer.
Yeh look I agree, thought they could have done better with the bilge pump, like running some sort of float switch or something.
The "F"er double parks, what a Douche...I Love It!!!
Approximate price for the boat?
approx $265k
@@excessivefishingaustralia2849 thanks.
Every time I see one of your videos I see something about your boats that I want to incorporate into my own design. Love your work mate
Thanks mate🙌
Trade it in for a yamaha while you still can. The 2022 trophy is garbage, mine is in shop again for warranty repair work again. Comes with 1 year warranty and two years later they still can't get it right lol.
That sux mate, what troubles are you having ?
@@excessivefishingaustralia2849 electrical issues, not starting, they replaced main harness once and are replacing again without fixing underlying issue
@@Petererc69 yeh that is shit. I’ve had a couple of sea doo’s before and never had an issue. I suppose ever now and then you get a problem child, but yeh I’ve had no probs👍
Nice work... cost ?
Never grow old. Just get bigger and better toys! Love it mate.
Thanks mate🤣🍻
Love your channel man 👍
Thanks heaps mate, appreciate your support🎣🎣
Mint boat, reckon the 200hp would be enough for a full forward cabin 6.8?
Cheers mate, yeh the 200hp would be ok, you will get 38kn out of it, a 250hp will get you to the 40kn mark👌
Geez mate you have more toys than santa claus! Upgrade every year..😂
The fish pro is soo boring and ugly. Despite it being the best fishing platform, i just cant get something soo dull.
its beautiful and fun
Ski's definately have there place. the comments below and the Tinny V Ski argument is an interesting one. From owning my ski I see the benefits of both but ultimately I chose the ski and didn't regret it and I took it all over WA and loved it, can't wait to see your adventures. yewwwww
Wish I have also the fishpro!👍🏼
can you please give me a rough figure on how much this build is... I need to know is its out of my price range... within a $10K here or there is ok... is this a $150K or $200K build thanks
This just recently sold for around $265k well that was what it was advertised for 😊
To build this boat today you are looking at 250k +, and that’s if you do most of the fitout.
Is this sold?
@@maniyhy9451 yep
Looks like an amazing setup! Can't wait for your next video fishing on this weapon!
I don't understand why anyone wants to fish off a ski. If you buy a ski get a 300hp ski. If you want to fish use a boat. A poor compromise
All good mate, the ski is wicked for fishing as well as havin a bit of fun. The 300hp is shit of fuel, therefore no good for fishing. If ya don’t know I also have a 8.5m custom Ali fishing weapon so I have the best of both worlds. You should give it a go, you might like it👍
Some people don't want a big boat. They're hard to garage, hard to launch solo, take forver to wash down and big on fuel. There's many advantages and disadvantages to both though.
y do people buy a tinny and not a 6m fibreglass or a ski boat, canoe or even a kayak (speed bumps)? All different niches and enjoyment in different ways. Next year my goal is land a tuna on my ski. Ive done it in my Haines Hunter Patriot. Ive caught plenty squid/ whitting on my tinny. Oh and yes i do go hard on a ski when u wanna have some fun jumping waves. but people trip out when you have a speargun strapped to your back going for a dive, spearfish.
@drdrft a tinny is a way better choice in my mind. I have ridden those skis and they aren't great compared with the higher hp ski. You all do you I just don't get it.
@joshsmith9058 I got a gp1800r svho. So I no what u saying. But each to thier own. We all outside enjoying the water
I’m about to have my first boat built and seeing yours has really helped a lot. I in WA too so all the info helps. Deciding what and how to do what you want the boat to do is half the fun. The wife and I are currently knee deep in ideas and bits of paper at this stage. 🤨😁
Yeh sweet, it’s super exiting watching your own ideas take shape, I’m glad I can give you guys some ideas🍻
Love that deck mate 😁😇 I think I am in chronological order now…❤
If you have a step up at the front when you hose it down water can’t escape tho?
So much for not going back to carpet! Wonder what the DCDeck boys did wrong?
What are you talkin about?????
This boat was built before the dc deck boat🍻
Oh shit sorry mate. That’s what you get for being up at all hours watching this stuff. My sincere apologies brother. I do love your boats though. Very well put together. And big! Have a great day 😁
Awesome build, just put some longer slides on the 80L fridge so you can open the the lid and it stays put
Loved it mate. I have fond memories of Bornholm. Right where you camped, I woke up one morning with one of my sons and there were thousands of herring beaching themselves to get away from the salmon that were eating them. We were picking up herring and pinning them on a hook and getting a salmon a cast. Theer were Hundreds of birds feasting on the beached herring at same time, and big sharks out behind the salmon, incredible place. An old local told me once that the place is a "Hospital Reef" where injured and tired fish hold up till the next years, migration so there are always salmon there. I have never had any issues getting out, but I always camp overnight and travel out early while there is still some moisture in the sand.
That’s so cool to hear mate, such a special place. That would have been epic to witness, something to remember and a rare event for sure. We noticed leaving in the morning was definitely the way to go, the sand was a lot firmer than when we went in there the arvo before. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed the vid🍻
Been fishing there for over 60years. Used to walk down the hill. The track was put in with a old grey Ferguson tractor. Bloody epic spot to fish
That’s awesome, that’s a huge walk mate, hats off to ya🙌
