@@dam5084 I got spooled on the river earlier this year. Had a walleye rod with a smaller spool and it took everything whatever it was.

@@user-ft3oc7ks9z I don’t recall but plenty. I have had kings and steelhead. Take some pretty big runs with that real without ever getting low on line. I got 2 1/2 years of real solid use out of that put a lot of steelhead and big salmon on the bank with it and it finally started having issues with the drag slips. Still 100% worth the buy at the price, you can replace it every 3 to 5 years if you Aren’t fishing as much as I do.

@@56igadget in this video we were using p line jigs. We make our own jigging spoons now.

@@eugenegress5896 there are a lot of different styles, but there are really like three or four main different styles. Ours are very similar to the Pines with a flatter more textured profile for more flutter on the drop. I just heard an experience jigger the other day saying how there’s different profiles for different scenarios. Tight lipped fish will hit some different colors sizes and body profiles then active feeding fish. Much like pike fishing if you know what you’re doing you can get those aggression strikes on top of catching the active feeders. I have only been jigging for a few years now my experiences somewhat limited, but I can see it as nuance is just about any other style of Fishing.

@ReelMichiganAnglers COPY that my fellow fisherman. I have only a couple left, of a completely FLAT, dimpled chrome finish.... Thicker at hook end, progressively tapering, thinner as you get towards eyelet end. This Michigan Jigging spoon was called, , " LEE'S JIGGING SPOON, LOCALLY MADE, HOWEVER, I saw the exact spoon offered in JANN'S NETCRAFT Catalog; Not anymore..., and Bass Pro, Not anymore. 95 percent of jiggers here , used that plain ole spoon , no color added, and KILLED, The walleye on them. I personally see way more flutter action , darting, travel on the fall, than the " FAMED HOPPKINS SPOON, ECT." Have no idea, why a local Machinist , hasn't made a Mould and started producing them , since the originator called it quits, and their is no " PATENT" .

@@derekgraziano9499 I have no beef with guns and I’m not a gun guy per se but I do enjoy shooting once in a while recreationally. Am way too busy fishing to hunt. Otherwise, I would probably do a little bit of that.

@@handcannon1388 it was quite cool. We fished between storms. We were only out for a few hours. The cooler was a little big for the boat and I’ve seen people get hung up on their fish and a stringer, keeping a stringer off the side of the boat.

@@fermiticus4034 someday jigging is just like that. Over the last couple weeks it’s been hit and miss and we’ve been skunked a few times. I would say the season goes until all of the salmon are in the river. But like all things, Fishing timing can be everything.

Good looking jigs .

One thing I noticed between Lake Michigan and Lake Huron . Body baits like Rapala fire tiger J13 and reef runners worked great. But had zero luck on them on the west side .

@@aaronbuttignoli8710 I generally drop it to the bottom and then lift it a couple inches off the bottom and jig there. If you have a good fishfinder or live scope and you see them come in higher or low real up to where they are and jig there. If you’re fishing, just stay on the bottom. I like to occasionally sand and find that that can get their attention sometimes. They definitely can get keyEd in on a specific color so change colors frequently and until you start connecting with fish and your jigging periodically. They don’t always like the same presentation, but as a general rule, they are going to hit when it’s fluttering on the fall. You want to keep your line tight on the drop so that you can feel them grab it, but even if you don’t, when you go to jig the next time you’ll bury it in their mouth. I also generally find that real big jigging motions fast and hard tends to produce more than a smaller subtler jigging motion.
