Superman Love Theme/Krypton cover
Behold my cover/re-arrangement of John Williams' super musical offerings from the Superman (1978) soundtrack. I can't seem to turn the comments on for some reason.

Messy room licks
Переглядів 1959 років тому
Just a short widdle over a Dm backing loop (which is basically Fleetwood Mac's The Chain transposed) trying out some Bonamassa licks. Gear - Suhr Modern straight into Cornford Hurricane
Guthrie Govan; They're covers Jim but not as we know them.

Guthrie needs no introduction. But we need Guthrie. Lots of him. And so, I give to you some more snippets of his chameleon-esque work for Guitar Techniques mag. He's obviously done many songs over the years in this context but I decided to opt for his more 'fiery' moments, using samples from the following songs; Eric Johnson - Cliffs of Dover John 5 - Sugarfoot Rag Stevie Ray Vaughan - Scuttle ...
Pete Callard's Jazz Fusion Bonanza
Переглядів 86 тис.15 років тому
Another incredible Guitar Techniques tutor, Pete Callard (LA Musician's Institute Graduate and winner of the "Outstanding Musician of the Year" award) has been pretty busy over the years, compiling a number of 'style file' columns based on the playing of the great jazz and fusion players of this small blue dot we live on - here are a few tasty snippets in the style of John McLaughlin, Joe Pass,...
Guthrie Govan plays: Who's Best?
Переглядів 611 тис.16 років тому
The Winter 2005 edition of UK Guitar mag 'Guitar Techniques' revealed winners of a readers poll, identifying the best players (in the humble opinions of many GT readers) at certain techniques. Master Guthrie then wrote and recorded a (rather superb) piece of music in the style of all of the consequent winners. To answer the inevitable questions, the results were as follows; Best chord voicings ...
Bravissimo brother❤
Guthrie is the Messi of Guitar
Mark knopfler
superb to find this in 2024 thanks for sharing with generations of the world!!!
What's the name of the song by James Taylor? So beautiful
Like how he respectfully plays in the style of the great artists better than the artists themselves.
For the love of God please make us an album.
Why there is not Shawn Lane?
Guthrie is so overpowered.

We don't deserve Guthrie.
☝🏽😏🖤😊🔥🤣🥰☝🏽🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
For about 2 minutes I didn’t know it was gutherie govan doing the solos and thought the actual players were doing a solo, until I read the description. Damn he does an impression so well I didn’t even think twice about it being the actual players for the first two minutes
Maybe we should just call you God.
Petrucci
Beautiful 💦🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
I wanna know the name of the two songs by James Taylor and the edge
SO AMAZING....
Guthrie has to be Knighted
Guthrie can do anything... ❤️😂😘
I never knew how similar Gilmore and BB King were, until I saw this 😳
This never fails to impress. To have the range to mimic all these players is astounding.
You are the legend
why? If you have ANY sence of music.... It is not comparable! If both play the same...maybe, but it's not up to them. Now....remember... It's easy to copycat music done before.. Hard thing is to make it yourself.
This was a job for a guitar magazine, douchebag. Dont be such an elitist. Guthrie did an beyond awesome job like always.
Enormous respect. The sad thing is I can pick out who he is doing impersonations of in a second, yet I would be hard pressed to say I could recognize GG's unique voice.
I can recognize him easily, in fact I did once where i didnt knew he was featured on a track. You just have to listen to him more and more carefully because his style and vocabulary is not one dimensional like with most guitarists. I follow him for over 13 years now.
guthrie could easily play g3 on his own.
BB king is alive in Guthrie!
a poll is always what it is.The fact that you (Guthrie) can mix all these styles in one great piece of music, makes you one of the top guitarplayers living today.I Always try to appreciate the choices, people make,...but it is kind of strange to me,that people seem to been forgotten what a great talent Shawn Lane was,not being on the list......
Guthrie is a fucking music machine, he can imitate almost everything, but not even him tried to imitate SRV.
Nobody can touch SRV ,, Sorry guthrie But SRV Is Incridible
2:36 Tutorial. Now.
batio and lane though
wtf kirk hammett, hello? lol
Guthrie played 20 other artists styles but can these 20 artists play Guthrie Govan's style
No, because some of them are dead
@@simonebellisario3682 lol
Most of this guys licks are built upon these players. The tapping, pinch harmonics, whammy bar tricks, fast picked runs etc etc
@@pleasepermitmetospeakohgre1504 I know, but I meant his own sound, vibe, tone
@@yeezy69 I don't think he has his own recognisable style, or feel.
