I don't understand why is so hard to add a headphone jack to the front of the amplifier (or 2 - balanced as well) to a amp. The amp already has the juice for the big speakers, divert some of the power and resolution for an intimate listen, too. I am looking these days for an class AB amp with phones outputs in the front in a small form factor, like this babies are... unless you spend at least 1.5 Gs rare not much out there. I love a small unit with big capabilities - like a perfume essence. Thank you in advance!

This is a really nice device. I think it is exciting to have the Cirrus Logic chip, it has such a natural and clear sound. I love the screen, no other small FunFi device has one like it. The price of $80 US makes this a fantastic deal.

Wish it had the RAW-MDA1 interface, but a great DAC! HDMI ARC is a wonderful feature along with the SMSL build. And 220 US is a fantastic price.

I received this item today from you that was dead on arrival, from your re-seller on Amazon in the UK. As soon as the power plug is connected, the device clicks, turns on and off with "200" on the display, and does not respond to any input from the remote nor the volume nob. Not what you would expect given the price. Please advise on this.

I'd love to hear the brand's answer to why they chose to have the display show the bitrate instead of the volume. It's absolutely ridiculous, useless and annoying.

Love your equipment .Im a newbie was hoping you can link me in the right connections....I do not use head phones. I have the SMSL DO100 . how can i connect the highest quality from computer to DAC and then to my 2 XLR powered speakers . I will be connecting a computer usb into my DAC with usb-c to Dac and a WiiM Mini streamer .not sure of the best way to connect everything together... Is there any other way to connect from my computer because my puter does not connect optical or toslink or coaxle . I was told usb is not quality audio cable and I do not want Bluetooth ...I want the best possible signal to my powered speakers

I never thought that DDC players or digital interface play such an important role in digital audio playback and improving sound quality. While reading reviews of various DDC’s I came across Gustard U18. Also followed a Forum discussion on U18 with almost everyone recommending it. As a result I bought one for myself. And what a good rewarding decision it was. I am so happy with the purchase of U18 . It has improved overall sound quality of my system. It will take you atleast a level or two upwards. In my opinion instead of upgrading a DAC we must first add a DDC like U18. It’s definitely much better than Matrix audio interface. And friends on forum say it’s better than Sinxer, matrix and even Denafrip base model
