The climax of the performance by Sierra and her band in Ponte Vedra, FL of John Lennon's "Don't Let Me Down." To make this video, I edited together sections of three videos available at Sierra's Facebook page or UA-cam.

Beautiful performance by Sierra and her brilliant band (Oliver Bates Craven, Josh Rilco, Geoff Saunders. of the great Ernest Tubb song. (Excerpt from the full concert uploaded by "Blind Man.). Craven has succeeded in doing what I would have thought was impossible-filling Josie Toney's shoes. He doesn't have Josie's ravishing smile or dancing eyes, but he's no less magnificent a musician, has hi...

Sierra Ferrell Gum Tree Canoe Green River Festival 2021
Переглядів 6283 роки тому
Sierra Ferrell's wonderful performance at the John Hartford tribute Rachel Baiman put together for the Green River Festival 2021. "Gumtree Canoe," with words by S. S. Steele and music by A. F. Winnemore, was first published in 1847 and was often performed-with faux "Negro" dialect-in Minstrel shows. John Hartford's recording is legendary, but Sierra makes the song her own, as she does with all ...
Sierra Ferrell She's Made Like That

Sierra and friends performing one of her most beautiful songs in a variety of settings. Just a few facets of the diamond.
Amazing!
Who is the most lucky man in the world? The man in the blue jacket at the 7:22 minute mark. (heavy sigh...)
I'm infatuated with her dammit man
Dayum!
This performance gives me goosebumps. I love so much of what's going on here. The music, lyrics and this arrangement, Such Fun! The whole ensemble contribute to putting on a banger number... "Follow that! MWHAhahaha!" Sierras immediate invite for audience pARTicipation, singing, stage presence, costume, Josies stage presence, playing, singing, the stomps she gives to count in the last outro, her yelling "YEAH!", these women's stage presence and the chemistry they produce is palpable. I'm getting all this off a screen and recording, I can't even imagine how amazing it must have felt to experience in person. I'm sad Josie isn't in the band anymore, very much missed. I hope whatever caused the departure works out positively for everyone or can be resolved/reconciled. Wishing you all Happiness and Health.
Oh, this is so good! Such a lovely collage of what will surely be proven to be a song for the ages. Kudos to the time, effort, and love you put into this. Mighty fine!
Whatever... she is IT
Americana just SUCKS HARDCORE!!!!!
I knew Sierra before she became a circus clown.
Fire
I swear she's the lady Gaga of bluegrass music. She's amazing.
I love this. Sounds like a Jimmy Rodgers song.
She’s a cross of some eccentric cowgirl and Brenda Lee
❤❤❤
Emerging Artist makes it sound like they came out of nowhere. No one's paid their dues more than Sierra.
I first heard her a decade ago sitting on a curb at a farmer's market in a small town in Washington State, singing for tips and selling her homemade CDs for $5.
@@ArvidDarmond , she has definitely paid her dues.
People that watch this and who are into these artists tend to really really love music.
That's like if New Orleans Nashville and Appalachia had a bastard child and it's beautiful!!!!!!!
She sounds like patsy
She is incredible!
Shes like a Dolly Parton and Amy Winehouse in 1
Got tears on the high notes Beautiful rendition by masterful Sierra. !
thanks for posting this, mate. This is one of the few songs you can set to 1.25x, 1.5x, 2x speed and it sounds good
Astonishing, I'm 62 Born London and grew up through the Beatles, Gershwin, Led zeppelin, Debussy on and on seen it all Floyd the wall Dylan earls court, Wynton Marsalis, all points, This Girl is astonishing.
I am 62 and seen hundreds of shows. August 23. 2024 I will be in her presence in Dallas. I haven't been this excited about an artist in some time. She's SPECIAL!
80s baby and glad the kupuna(older generations) loving this ʻoluʻolu wahine liʻiliʻi. She is a darling.
WTF?!?!?!? Where did this girl come from?!?!? She's amazing, what a talent! So brave and totally someone new!!! She does something like this on an awards show???? Simply stunning!
She use to busk for change, ride freight train and have heroin addiction, she's a great exemple of courage, she came from far
She came from Charleston WV. Playing with a band called 600 lbs of sin. She probably was sort of well known around here before that though. Isn't she great!
She is such a beauty!
Omg I love Sierra!!!
Country Music has lost it's way. THIS woman should be the future of Country Music.
Totally agreed. Most CM is all style - no substance. LOVE Sierra
100%
You obviously don't understand the difference between americana, country, and bluegrass.
@@Eliminator5555Sierra fits into all 3 categories!
This entire video is from her show in Ft. Lauderdale. No edits. No Ponte Vedra.
Thanks. My mistake-none of the separate videos I edited together-they're taken from different angles--identified the date or the place.
What a voice! I haven't bothered with modern country in a long time
Lorenzo Molina on trombone!!
I love the musical chemistry between Sierra and her fiddle player!
that clarinet is awesome. great trombone as well
trombone is played by the absolutely gorgeous and immensely talented Lorenzo Molina. He is a long time member of the wonderful Mavericks. Amazing that he wasn't on the road!
Thank you
I just recently by happenstance, came upon this young lady and I think she’s fantastic. 👍👍🇨🇦
He should have been me
She deserved it and as an old time fan of hers I know I'm not the only one who got misty eyed
Awesome! What's the horn he's playing? Not a trombone? Not a trumpet?
So happy for this talented, funny, free spirited woman, Sierra Ferrell! I hope she uses her fame and fortune for as much good as Dolly has --- and not just more tattoos (like Morgan Wade).
Just discovered Sierra and her amazing band this year! Love that old timy sound and the joy she and her band radiate as they play! I play guitar and sing too,. one of my faves is "In Dreams" acoustic version. Love her uniqueness! She's right in there with Patsy Cline!!!!!
Been a fan for a couple years now myself. She's got such a great song list. Go down that rabbit hole for "29" . She rips it like Aretha.
@@rickroybal7022 Will do 🤘 "29"
@@rickroybal7022 Sounds good🎶🤘
