Das Messer ist immer schwer zuzuordnen, da das Bajonett 98 in einer Scheide getragen wurde, und die der Soldat nicht hatte. Ich würde es als schlechte requisite abtun, könnte aber auch eine Beute sein, aber der Sägenschliff passt nicht so ganz in diese zeit. Man darf aber sagen, dass das auftauchen des soldaten doch sinn hat. er erinnert sich an seine schlimme tat und man kann es als späte rache werten, dass der deutsche ihn das noch mal vor augen rief. und sofern ich das weis ist das messer etwas falsch in der zeit denn die deutschen hatten doch das bajonett 98 als messer?

I remember the Odeon well, also the Empire (music Hall) which was on the same road(?), ABC (Elite) and the Marlborough which was somewhere behind where the bus station is now. The Gaumont had been demolished a good while before. I was also sad when the old Corn exchange got knocked down to make way for the road. It's sad iconic buildings like these are allowed to decay, replaced by soul-less piles: Can't imagine many modern buildings finding a similar place in peoples' affections in time. R.

Congratulations on creating a decent chronicle of a former Middlesbrough landmark. Future generations will find this interesting.
