Honestly, for a moment I thought they were going to stop the race for a while with a red flag. What fell out of the sky again. It was solved with 2h behind the Sc but even then you could see that some drivers were struggling. Was a fun edition this year. But hopefully next year another dry edition.

The GT1s I grew up with 😍 I remember when they came to Zolder in 2008 & 2009. Was back then way too young to come down to Spa. That must have been really cool back then.

Thanks, Yes the fog was extreme on Sunday. Luckily for us only for a short while and we were able to enjoy some sunshine in the afternoon.

Big thanks. Yes you have to be a bit creative sometimes because due to the large crowd during the 6h, some of my favourite film points were occupied. Also i have to say that the point between the trees did turn out super fun. Another viewing point to add to the list. 😁😁😁

Spa-Francorchamps always builds a few extra (temporary) grandstands for F1. This year, they have already built those grandstands for WEC and the 24 Hours. Now during the test day a lot of those temporary grandstands were closed but there were also open ones. The one in speakers corner for example, accessible on foot via Bruxelles/Rivage (only if the gate is open to the public) At WEC it was also open to the public but there was a fence a bit further on. This fence was gone during the test day so you could walk through to Pouhon.

That's possible but I can't 100% confirm that. There were several red flag periods during the first day of testing, though. For instance, I know that the #11 Aston and #100 Mclaren stalled due to technical problems and we had a crash of the #91 Porsche and the #12 Aston Martin. What else happened during the 2nd day of testing I have no knowledge of. Had to go back to work😢

@@Lance.planes.and.more1 Oh the mustang would be very nice, or Rossi. But I think BMW and Mercedes are big contenders with multiple cars. But the Porsche of Estre, Vanthoor, Pilet and the Ferrari of Pier Guidi, Rigon and Rovera also stand a good chance.

Yes indeed, I think Philip Eng was in the Rowe #98 and came to check if Esteban Muth was okay. He stayed seated for a very long time. Was it because he couldn't get his door open because the marshals really had to wriggle it open or was it a rule of the stewards that he had to stay seated until red was waved and everyone had slowed down. I don't know

Along with Martin and Marciello, Valentino certainly has a chance to win. But there are many contenders 😁

From what I understand there must be at least one car from each team. Looking at the times though it looks like almost all cars are here. I’m not 100% sure about drivers. If you’re a bronze or rookie you would have to be here I assume to be eligible for the race.

According to the live timing, there were 63 participants. And there are 67 registered for the 24h so they were almost all there. For instance, I know that Comtoyou has been training with 3 cars and they will be at the start with 4 also HaasRT and Century motorsport will be with more than 1 car at the start.

So far I know is it the same exhaust system. Maybe the WEC version is louder due to the fact that they are running some sort of different BoP.

You mostly hear the v10 from the audi and lamborghini

The Porsches that run in wec are extremely silenced, the ones in gtwc aka spa 24 hours tend to run with less mufflers so they will be louder

Live, the M4 has a beautiful sound, especially when exiting La Source. And it's even louder than the 296.

Idk why everyone says that the M4 sounds bad, it doesn’t and it’s not even that quiet, it’s just that it has the exhaust only on the right side so on the other side it sounds quiet. I also think that the Inline 6 is very representative of the brand. It’s just the 296 that is so uninspiring

@@chef5590 tbh i also think this. I think it sounds different. It sounds like modern, refined engine. I like the downshifts on some more expensive microphones they really sound good and the acceleration out of slow corners/low rpm is really nice too.

@@pato-IX yes, i am also thinking the same. But the 296 sounds like a vaccum. No wrong, it doesn't sound like anything actually, from the outside the wind noise is louder than the engine itself. From the inside it only sounds good under downshifts, some drivers go down the gears quick and bring the rpm high, where it sounds good.

In my opinion, only the sound of the 296 is disappointing. The M4 doesn't sound bad at all. The F1 is certainly not bad either. But of course you can't compare it to the V8 and V10.

Thanks mate. The race was surprisingly good with constant duels for the podium spots in the various classes. But indeed, 20 participants is far too few. Have heard though, that the list of participants for the 24h is already starting to take serious shape. Let's hope

Er zijn zones waar je moet betalen zoals de GP track, Brunchen, Pflanzgarten, ... De rest is gratis te bezichtigen. Dus het ligt eraan waar je wilt gaan staan/of je wil betalen. Veel plezier als je gaat 😀😀😀

oh jammer, Ikzelf ga niet zo heel vaak naar trackdays. Maar was nu zelf daar voor een circuit ervaring die ik cadeau gekregen had. Maar nu ik toch aanwezig was heb ik heel even wat rondes gefilmd. Dus dan is de kans klein dat ik iedereen op beeld heb gehad.

yes it definitely was. Stood down first, one corner before. But when I saw the 0 car coming by and I noticed there was a lot of water at that point. Hurried me to that point before the first rally car arrived. Today it's pretty dry. Tomorrow there is another chance of rain. but I don't think enough to cause puddles like that. But you never know. Slippery it will definitely be and especially if they start attacking inside of the corners.

To know which events take place at the circuit, it is best to check the Circuit Zolder website. There is also a webcam where you can follow the activity a bit. If you really want to follow the races, you have to hope that the organiser livestreams the event on youtube, for example.
