How many jars for a 25 gallon tank
Where can I find your full set up
amazing video! I got the seneye and wanted to ask if you can share the STL file for the 3d print
I get how to put the pipes together but i don’t get the flow pattern in my head I guess each tank is based on equipment being used?
Is there a reason to test so much other than to sell reagent? Am learning any information is appreciated
Yes if you don’t want problems you could have a good 6-8 months no issues but if you ain’t testing when the issues comes at least you can pinpoint the issue better for me anyway
Omg. Im having aptasia problem now.
I hate to tell you this, Brother - but you SCREWED UP buying 90 degree elbows! You are restricting your flow from your pump, thus you are wearing it out faster than need be & not getting out of it what you've paid for . . .and ARE paying for via electrical bills . . . ! Use 45's & open up the flow far better!
Cheap iPad 60-80$
best video I've watched to get me started with the plumbing. thankyou. I like your wall art as well :) happy Friday brother.
How are you going to feed your phosphate and other reactors? I would think you would have installed some sort of header with 1/4 or 3/8 inch taps for this.

Please do not buy this. Mine has NEVER worked correctly for long, the thing randomly refuses to even start up, "connecting to cloud.... This is taking a bit longer than expected..." error that will render the unit useless. Months on end it can not be used, then randomly POOF it works again. PAR is HIGHLY inaccurate. I have two Fluval Plant 3.0's on a 40B set at max the PAR ready between 30 to 200 depending on when I check it. NOT Where I check it, but WHEN. Some days it reads 30 PAR. Some days it reads 200. Lights set at max, nothing blocking it, sensor is completely flat, in the same place. I have been told by support that I need to source a new, bone stock, windows PC to test. Hmm... No. With ZERO changes to my PC some times the unit will work, some times it will not. No changes to my PC. I'm not buying a new PC/Laptop for testing their garbage software. I have completely given up on this thing and the company. Multiple people have tested the PAR functions of this unit and compared them to known good PAR meters and found the Seneye to be horribly inaccurate.
I have a question about the Seneye as a par meter. Will I need those purchase those chips that go inside just to use the par meter? I really don't need the other functions. I currently have a Hydros system but I do want a par meter and this seems like the most economical solution for a tool that will only be used a few times.
what an annoying video, couldnt finish it.
PETG is reef safe.
I spent enough money to buy a really nice complete 100 gallon set up on a printer. Now im printing everything i need for my reef and others.
Brick thinks wow wow !
Do oyu sell the 3d hook up for par? I still cant get seneye to respond to me and get mine working after years of trying! BRS said they would help me since I bought it from them!
boom baby
I saw one of your videos on your 120 gal and i was wondering if you have any videos showing a water change with a larger tank. Im switching from a 40gal w/o a sump to a 120 with a sump and i think thats what scares me the most. That is a lot of tiny buckets.
Nice! I hear the Copperband are very difficult to maintain. I hear they often have issues acclimating to the tank. I have a 45g JBJ All in one, it may be too small. Thanks for the update.
🔥🔥
Man I can definitely relate. Aiptasia spread in my tank. I tried the same 3 things. Finally I decided to get rid of all my live rock and start over. I did lose some corals in the process. I dipped the Coral that survived the transition of new live rock. I was fine til like a month ago and noticed Aiptasia again. 😩 My mistake was I waited to long to attack the problem and they spread the first time. May just order some Nudibranch again Where did you order yours from?
That beard is immaculate.
basically the wife said so 🤣🤣🤣🤣
with the returns being so low below the waterline. Would that affect the amount of backflow into the sump during power outage?
Nice video . What name of the yellow tester to check tap water ? Thanks
For the info…
Fun presentation! Great channel! Just wanted to say though (science geek here) the source of CO2 here is the constant respiration of all the life forms in the tank (lowering the pH), and when your light is on, the corals photosynthesize and use up that CO2 so raising the pH. Just like us breathing out CO2 and plants and trees taking it up, and deforestation causing worldwide higher CO2 levels. HTH, and keep up the good work!
Lovely equipment but the DT looks awful nothing healthy or bonnie looking corals there. Scaling is poor and hardly any beautiful corals
Wow. What a way to be a Debbie downer.
Where is the hair algea vid?
Hey Tj I have the same calcium test kit, mine say that when it gets close to purple keep adding one drop at a time till it goes from purple to blue and as soon as the water turns blue that’s your number. Just wondering if yours says different, let me know pls.
Thanks for posting man
Can I buy tickets at the gate, as with something like the San Francisco Zoo? People are picky, so I may not be able to get a website bought ticket. 3 adults, by the by.
I have the Apex, the Inkbird and one BRS titanium for my reef tank. I am going to go to2 heaters but how would you know if one of the heaters fail?
Great question! Depending on how many watts the heaters are, you may notice that a single heater is struggling to keep the tank the correct temp. Or, you may find that the temp climbs a lot slower than normal.
Very good videos
Glad you like them!
Just stumbled across your channel enjoyed your 2 part aiptasia battle. So subscribed. Happy new year and keep up the good work.
Welcome aboard! New content coming soon!
ASA filament instead of ABS is worthy to consider. ASA is UV resistant, can be smoothed with acetone like ABS and is easier to print. Also, when it comes to durability, comparable to ABS. PETG is another good alternative.
do i have to buy tickets online? or can i buy them there ?
Your best bet is to check their website, as policies change due to Covid and other issues. Thanks for watching!
I luv Aquarium of the Bay!
Great Video so tempted to look into this for sure, would definately be a great addition to a aquarium in term's of monitoring perimeters👍👍
I LOVE my Trident. It has saved me a few times already. I just wish it also checked Nitrates and Phosphates. Thanks for watching!
Check me out
Helpful video but please share close ups or a list of the brands/products you use. My husband and I had to try to pause and screenshot the glue product to make sure we used something safe for the tank. Thanks
Great suggestion, and I'll note that for future episodes. Thanks for watching!
I believe that fish is a giant seabass.
Would 2 work for 75g sps reef tank?
Depending on the depth, I think you'd be fine with 2.
Both the pH and ammonium readings on my seneye have been inaccurate. The pH reads about 0.5 lower and the ammonia 200 percent higher than what a liquid test is showing. Even with a 10 kg bag of fresh zeolite in the filter system the seneye will read high ammonia. So either the water test kits are off and huge amounts of zeolite don't work or the seneye is way off. Which do you think it is?
I guess the only way to know is to test a water sample that has a known ammonia level in it. You could also test for nitrites. If you have zero nitrites, you should have zero ammonia.
Thanks for the video!
Went to 11 1/2 ph
