You NEED TO TRY These Winter Saltwater Lures!!!
This is a how to video about my favorite lures to throw during wintertime here in southwest Florida. Let me know if you have used any of these and if you have any recommendations for me to try out! Winter is a special time and the negative lows and cooler temps call for some audibles

Merry Christmas y'all... I hope you have had a blessed and exciting day. Today we went deep into the everglades fishing for laid up snook. Post cold front, these fish were shallow. Along with some good snook we also got some redfish. We threw NLBNs and gulp shrimp. I hope you guys enjoyed this quick christmas video and continue to have a blessed day. #fishing #floridaeverglades #snook
INSANE Fishing and Camping DEEP in the Everglades
Переглядів 11 тис.21 годину тому
Today we did something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. Camp in the middle of nowhere along the Florida Everglades coast. The island we picked was full of redfish and trout, providing an incredible evening on the water. Although, no amount of planning can fully prepare you for what the Everglades can throw at you. Thanks for watching and god bless. #fishing #everglades #camping

This video is special... not only is it my 2nd tournament on this channel, but it is in a special place. The Florida Keys. Islamorada is the fishing capital of the world for a reason, and today we attempted to show why. Fishing in the first annual Champs backcountry invitational, we targeted snook and redfish, along with bonefish, permit, and numerous other species. I hope yall enjoy! #fishing ...
Sight Casting BIG Redfish in INCHES of Water
Переглядів 3,9 тис.21 день тому
Today I went out with my dad and caught solid redfish in inches of water. In wintertime, we can get extremely low “negative” tides that can provide some incredible fishing. These fish were getting some sun and looking for food as we threw a weightless gulp shrimp to get the bite. #redfish #fishing #sightcasting

This provides an awesome sight fishing opportunity for anglers alike. I was able to show you guys how to catch these triple tail, I hope you enjoy. #tripletail #fishing #tripletailfishing

Paddling SECRET Creeks in Florida Backwaters

Today I went paddleboard fishing in a very special place. I used to fish this creek years ago, and finally returned. Development has made some of these places harder and harder to fish, but it was well worth it today. #fishing #paddleboarding #redfish

sick vid! were you fishing out near choko yesterday? thought i saw you and a buddy out
Yessir we were
Nice work on landing that red and killer shot of the release!
Appreciate it! It was a fun fight!
Hey man I have never done a lot of soft plastic inshore salt water fishing before and want to start doing more of it and I was wonder what kind of adorable combo you would recommend. I live in south Louisiana and do a lot of marsh red fishing.
You can't go wrong with a swimbait and a jighead.
@ my bad man I meant what would be the best affordable rod and reel setup for swim baits and jig heads
@@dawsonlatiolais1990 check out diawa fuego on a star rod. under 200$ for both. light and sealed
Any recommendations for decent editing software for a non Apple user?
Davinci maybe. Premier pro. I use final cut
Great vids! "With that being said" lol! Great info. From Alva.
Thanks! Appreciate that.
Another great video, way to hang in there and land some solid fish!
Thanks, I appreciate it!
Had better luck with smaller baits 2in DOA shrimp weedless rig.
Yep
Just got myself some NLBN 3” shrimps along with their shrimp jig heads. Hoping to get out in the 10k Islands area Thursday to try these out. Crushed the trout down in Chokoloskee 3 weeks ago on the NLBN 4” K-Tails.
Good stuff, you’re gonna love the shrimp!

Your the man
You are becoming my favorite fish UA-camr with all these uploads. Thanks
I appreciate the love!
And he's a SWFL Local too! 🤙
Great video! May be worth considering getting reference links for these products, I am buying and would be ideal if you got a cut for referring! Also, appreciate the retrieval suggestions! Curious about the noise situation in Choko, its so funny how solid my popping corks with vodu shrimp under them are in Central West Fl and Louisiana, yet fish want nothing to do with it in 10,000 islands. Gulp is go to, curious to try the others you got on here
Corks and shrimp would work great down south I bet
Little more expensive but if your looking for good sight castig jigs look up buggs jigs. His permital bug specifically and a few others do very well for me in biscayne bay. He has some other redfish specific jigs too.
Sounds good man I appreciate it
"Down South Lures" 👍👌 . .... Check'em out
Will do
Love the video brother!! Gulp is awesome..Im your red house guy...Happy New Years!! God Bless!!
Appreciate the love man!
So far this winter I’ve been absolutely crushing on a yo zuri 3 inch pins minnow hard jerks long pause
Sounds like I should try
@@christian_masterson definitely do, don’t have reds or trout by me but I’ve clapped 15 snook over 30 inches this month and a bunch under 30
Great videos! Your editing skills are top notch.
Thank you so much! I appreciate that!
Im gonna be in chokoloskee Wednesday maybe ill see you out there 🤙
Yessir
Dude I love this type of content from you! Your videos keep getting better and better!
Thank you so much! I appreciate that.
Few tips for anyone watching / reading That zman ned shrimp pair it up with a zman nedlockz head it will sit on the bottom alot better. ( The one in your video is not the NedlockZ ) Or if you need it weedless try a finesse ProBulletZ hook Another tip unlike other plastics ( i.e. NLBN , DOA , SLAYER , ZOOM AND SO ON ) ZMAN plastic will hold the scent you put on it. So for example those zman shrimp come in a tray , take some procure shrimp scent and put a line in one or two shrimp spots and lay the shrimp back down in it and let it soak in it for as long as the bait is good you wont have to touch it up at all and gives that shrimp a more realistic scent then other " scented baits " Also you can throw a swim bait all year. Ive found slow rolling real slow so it touches bottom and when it touches bottom give it 2 small slower twitches and continue to slow roll. The coldest our water has been is 58 and the reds , snook and trout will still slam it. Right now a eye strike weedless 1/8oz jighead with a 3" Zman MinnowZ has been my #2 bait to throw. My 3 favorite colors are... >Badshad - love this color when mullet are around. Can be thrown in any watwr condition >Beer Run - this is a great color for super piss clean water >The Wright Stuff - this is like a rootbeer color with copper and olive green flakes its another great all water condition color veey earth tone color. My #1 bait is 2 different style of baits but in the same color. The color is called " Redfish Toad " the two profiles ive been tossing are the 4" Zman JerkshadZ and the 4" Zman BallerZ. The BallerZ I rigged on 1/8oz 3/0 ProBulletZ and do more of a dead sticking technique. Cast out twitch twitch let sit for a few seconds and repeat. Been slaying the reds big time The JerkshadZ rigged 2 different ways the first os the same as the ballerz but I work it slightly faster. Twitch twitch pause, twitch twitch twitch pause and repeat back and forth on 2 and 3 twithes. The second way is on a 1/12 , 1/16 or 1/8oz 3/0 chinlockz hook. This is for when i want a very slow fall and allow the bait to sit in the strike zone longer for those cold days. And I repeat between 2 and 3 twitches and pauses. This time of year the Procure Shrimp scent is fire
Good stuff. Thanks for the comment
Loved the Ned rig set up. I'll be down there from the 1st through the 4th. Going to be cold
I think you’re in for a treat.
As a fairly newer fisherman myself, I appreciate the shared knowledge. I use some of these, but feel like I am using them wrong 99% of the time. Because of that, I completely agree about the NLBN. It is so much more intuitive and instinctive to just reel in at varying speeds. Solid content!
Glad I could help! 100%. Even I get tired of working a gulp sometimes. theres something to be said about rolling a swimbait. Best advice i could give is to have a steady retrieve. I do not twitch or stop my swimbait, seems unnatural i heard from some anglers I respect
@@christian_masterson Appreciate the tip on the swimbaits. Does rod size and reel size/action play a part in being able to effectively use artificial lures? I was always told to run a 4000 reel on a medium/fast rod because thats a sort of do it all set up. I feel like its a bit too much and cant get a solid feel for how the lure is reacting to the water or any potential hits.
Wow
!!!
you gotta do a vid on thumper shrimp.
Noted
🌴 Hey Chris, I would think that the realistic looking simp used with sent would clobber fish , I mean the whole idea of fisherman is to try and deceive fish with an imitation Lure that totally fools them thinking it’s the real deal , some people say different colors get fish going. But I’ve never gone out trying crazy colors, and then ya got presentation how does the lure look in the water ? Does it act natural ? And how do ya fish it ? Small twitching it ,slow steady retrieve, a combo of both ? I’ve tried tsunami brand shrimp that have weights in um but I get snagged a lot and not much in the fish dept. Then I tried 3D brand they were a lot more expensive , but haven’t had a chance yet to try um , and I’ve got some off brand shrimp style bodies from the discount bin in a kinda green brown color that need jig heads that haven’t gotten tried yet , these plastic lures always got me going because everything eats shrimp or crabs 👈🏼or small bait fish so these three should get fish , I guess my next investment is to get the stuff you’ve tried and see how they work for me 🤔
Yeah, you’re absolutely right, it’s all about tricking them with a believable bait.
Can’t say enough about how much I love your films. Great work! I love your concept, talking about the history and the makeup of the fishery. Keep it up!
Thank you! I appreciate that!
Here in Virginia (Williamsburg) the water temps are in the low 50s. The ZMAN TRD craw and Ned rigs are the best bet to use. Throwing them on a BullBay 7’4” Banshee with a Shimano Curado 151MGL on 10lb braid. Awesome video and always and Happy New Year to you.
Thanks! That’s a great setup for those water temps.
Bull bay rods for life I've got everyone of their model rods and even a few high end custom tacs. Great rods
@@artificialslinger9730 I love my bolt. Their good rods
That’s my neck of the woods. Green top is where bull bay is retailed out of
@ Yeah man, GreenTop is the local hotspot for gear. Ocean’s East is a close second
Hah! Great timing! I just went fishing with live shrimp in Oakhill, caught a few dozen Mangrove Snapper (3 keepers). I ran out of live shrimp and switched to those same exact little Zman shrimp and just kept catching em even faster than on live shrimp since I didn’t have to keep rebaiting. Just used the same lure the entire time and it took barely any damage
That’s awesome! It’s always a good feeling when artificial beats live bait!
Idk how you manage to post twice a week but keep it up man ur doing great! 😂I think if you made a video about your post production process, it could be pretty sick. it’ll definitely clue the viewers in on the process a little more fs. Cuz just trying to post ONE video a week for me is pretty time consuming, but I’m sure your editing process is a lot more dialed in and efficient than mine. Anyways, hope you have a great rest of 2024 and God bless🤙
Thanks brother. I made a video a while back about my filming process. Didn’t really talk much about editing I don’t think but there may be some info in there you could use. God bless
New Turkey?
Yep
“Food poisoning” huh? So that’s what y’all dang kids call a hangover these days. ;)
Haha, I wish you were right
Your dad is awesome, what a perfect guy to have on the boat. Calm, level headed, and coming in clutch. Nice work! Keep the dad content up.
Haha that’s for sure. Thanks man
Heading that way for my first time mid Feb. hoping to make some good memories like these.
You will! The Everglades are a special place.

Merry Christmas to you. Your videos have been a gift this year! Great closeups of the fish. Hopefully you get to use all 42 inches of ruler on the front of your new boat next year!
Thanks, I really appreciate that!
Great video. Love the music choices.
Thank you!
There’s just something being on the water , it’s like being in natures magic spot your mind seeks to see all that surrounds you and puts it in memory files , and each time you go out and fish different spots or places it’s down loading information that you use when you return to try and out wit the species your seeking, I guess that’s why Flip got so good at what he did ,the glades was his back yard he got to know every turn ,hole and special area , it’s like you get acclimated , and different times of the year gives you a different pattern to follow , I’ve been here in Florida over half my life , the smell of saltwater is like a shot of adrenaline, I can’t imagine being anywhere else , “ Merry Christmas Christian to you and the family “
Merry Christmas to you too! I agree, the glades are magical.
Merry Christmas! Awesome video as always. Your b roll footage is incredible. Keep up the great work!
Thank you!
Nice snook! Don’t you worry about sharks when doing slow, hand held releases of a fish on the waters surface like that?
In murky waters yes. The big snook he caught was in about 4 inches. So not really there
Video is dope. Merry Christmas buddy! 🎣
Merry Christmas to you too!
