I am...extremely glad I watched this video. I'm a new player, Alpha Clone, and I just spent all my beginning 1 million skill points following some other persons guide and doing that only brought my dps up to around 96.6 with 2.4k with Tristan Drones. I was super skeptical of the other builds because I could not get my capacity to the same level as they did so I googled around for answers on why and if it was actually possible to do this safely on an alpha clone. Turns out, most of these guides are done by people who are already maxed out in their skills...not with the limitations of an alpha clone. It seems like doing Abyssal T0 is most safe for a day 0 beginner to do...until you get a skybreaker mob, then it isn't.

It's a stupid mechanic. It's just rolling dices. If you get him, you die, if not, then you get live. Navy ammo it's super expensive no? Plus I don't what to use a super ugly ship.

Such low dps and the enemies have a bonus to shield hp in Gamma. This is going to be so slow the isk will be worse than T1 exotics in a fit with double drone damage amps and if you hit multiple battleship spawns you are going to time out.

What a great guide for someone new to abyss! I loved the demos of the hard waves for the fit. I usually would recommend Aceface but this video was significantly more informative and useful! Thank you 2 years later

Are there any other pve money makers that can get closer to 100m isk per hour and not require WH/null risky stuff? (apart from incursions. I spent so much time going between incursion sites it made it not worth it).

I have seen fits mentioning the Shield compensation skills 10:18 but i dont get the ide of training into those as very few Frigate fits use shield amplifiers. Is the text on the skills wrong or whats the point of training those skills if u dont even use the different shield amplifiers in the fits?

I really don't find these Abyssal things 'fun'. You either go OP and slaughter with absolute impunity. Or die to the odd boss with a lot of the 'recommended' fits. Maybe I'm wrong in thinking that some of these are meant to be economically viable. Only a handful of proven fits work, making only some of the Filaments worth doing. Don't take this as a complaint. Its Eve, its supposed to be hard. But its also Eve, scrounging in the couch for lose change to be called profits at the end of the day.

Is it not worth collecting the other caches?

There is one thing imtrying to understand, why people use Warrior's over Hobgoblins on Worm? i got the worm and currently im still grinding T0 until i get enough money for a re-buy worm incase something go wrong in T1. But im using Hobgoblins, they deal more damage and the 300% boost from Worm makes them tanky in T0 anyway, are Warriors better in T1 because of their speed? I would like someone to explain it to me.

nice video, i really appreciate your effort. helps out the newbros a lot. just one thing i'd like to mention: novas in gamma abyssals are not necessarily the best choice. as you're skilling gallente cruiser to IV at least anyway, you get those 40% bonus damage(!) on thermal and kinetic missiles. thermal missiles are often the better choice, as explosive and thermal resistances are about the same on most enemy ships, and you come through their armor a lot faster. but that's just my experience.

new sub here - curious if you can show your skills sometime for these vids ? the vids are great and analysis is onpoint. Im a returning player who missed out on abyss runs altogether until a week ago. Im running t3 no problem but 4's, Im not sure Im ready for just yet

If you're alpha and cannot max most of these skills best run is still tranquil gamma with republic fleet warriors(cheap af). It's a 3 min run at 2.4 mil. avg. (39-40 mil/h). The filaments are dirt cheap, you can use t1 missile ammo(also cheap). You can speed tank it, but thanks to rep wars, you won't need to anymore(I used to run augmented wars which lose 33% expl. dmg for kin. dmg. and DO NOT pull aggro as fast as rep wars). Usual run(works for all rooms): 1. Make sure you got MWD running at all times. 2. Drop drones. 3. Approach cache. Target cache. Kill cache with 1 missile. Turn off ML. Then loot cargo(if you overshoot, no biggie). 4. Target enemies. Put drones on them. On drones put ML on one target and drones on the other. Alternate until they're all dead. 5. After you loot cache, approach gate. If the enemies are close to death, wait until they die, recall drones then go to next room, rinse, repeat. If not(vs. tankier rooms) orbit gate at 500m, then do the previous sequence. Bonus: *Mind the speed up cloud ON TOP of gate. This will delay your runtime and occasionally might kill you if you're not paying attention. **Don't mind your drones taking damage or you not being able to shoot the target anymore because they ran away from the gate. Your drones will survive without an armor scratch and if you can't shoot them with missiles is not that big of a deal. Drones do the most work anyways. ***I intend to drop one Small Shield extender for a Target Painter since the change from Aug Wars to Rep Wars doesn't require speed tanking anymore(LOL) and see if the drones dmg. application goes up and speeds up the run. This will still drop the fit from ~180 mil. to ~120 mil, since the Aug Wars are just bloody expensive compared to Reps... In 3 hours you will have paid your Worm and start going on a profit. ****Biggest enemy in Tranquil Gamma is the boredom! (3 min run doing the same thing 15-20 times an hour). Fucked up .Did at least 20 Tranquil Abyssals, no problem what so ever and then all of a sudden this Skybreaker crap.. Couldn't even get through his shield... He took out my drones in seconds and just wore me down with his electric shock therapy... It sucked...!!

First of all when enter the Marshall Room, send the drones ont the Marshalls, and there is no problem. Marshall have big DPS, but die quickly.

Fitting one or two shield extenders on the viator instead of the three multispecs you have will give you a lot more ehp... should help against smartbombs ^^

This is a year old, does it still apply? A few days ago I lost my 3 billion ISK Gila in a Gamma T4 ( I was newt'd empty), so I decided to stick with T2 for a while. I made a new Gila that cost a lot less, but I was tempted to try this Worm. It looks fun. My memory sucks so I cannot remember all these different NPCs and what they all do. Hey, I am curious, if you are doing mostly thermal damage why not do the Firestorm?

I lost my 3 billion ISk Gila earlier. I didnt realize what these towers were doing and ignored them to my demise. They took away all my battery and I blew up!

Considering that filaments now run you a minimum of 350K, 25 to 30 mil is not what you'll be getting, not even close..

I think solo mining can be good as long as you have mining crystals. They are cheap and help the yield.

So I've started working through the sheet and noticed that Missile Projection 1-3 is in cells B76:B78. There's also Missile Projection III in B182 (T4 Gamma Gila section) - I'm guessing this should be IV, and Missile Projection IV in B199 (T5 Gamma Gila section ) - guessing this should be V as well? you can do this in approximately the same time with a passive shield recharge vexor, for far less money, with no risk

The so-called "mini-bosses" of the abyssal include: 1) the "[variation] Disparu Troop" as said in this video; 2) the drift battleship that has a named pilot which makes it look like a player rather than an NPC and who likes to lure you to the boundary of the space; 3) the rogue drone whose portrait looks like a "four-legged“ octopus, in whose description (info page) it says "extreme damage at close range"; 4) and the "Overseer" (or is it the "Overmind"?) which I only encountered once so far, but other people in the ingame chat said that's a tough one, too, I believe there is a webpage that calls it an "HP sponge" meaning its shield/armor is thick, you'd run out of time slowly nibbling it off; and last but not least, 5) the drones that come in number and would be hard to track due to small signature and fast speed, depending on your types of weapon, because of the weapon's tracking speed. The tricky part is that you do not know beforehand what type of these mini-bosses you'd run into, and the counter-measure for one or some of them would be asking for death when facing another. For example, in my experience, for the ones such as 5) that your weapon cannot track, you'd rely on drones. For the ones that your weapon cannot kill fast enough, you'd also want to use drones to compensate/supplement. But watch out in particular for mini-boss number #3 the "octopus" -- because its "extreme damage at close range" means it one-shot kills the drones, like swallowing the drones whole, one by one, at 5s intervals. If you have the mindset of "as soon as I see the drone health bar becomes red, I'd recall them", then, well, they don't become red, but they directly disappear. Therefore you do not want to use drones on mini-boss #3. Now, only after we get the #3 out of the way, is it time to state the possible "common rule (if any)" against all mini-bosses. That is, overheating is a must. Overheat everything, the weapons, the shield boosters or hardeners, the afterburners or mwds, or armor repairers perhaps I'm not sure because I'm a shield guy. The Disparu Troop, in particular, rumor says it has high damage but thin health. Do not think of range-tanking, it almost covers the entire abyssal space diameter, and besides, most abyssal entities are fast, too; do not think of speed tanking, going "under their guns", either, because their tracking speed is 500, well at least one of them is, according to a certain "abyssal reference" or is it "eve reference" website, in comparison my artillery cannon has a tracking speed of 1.08, I mean, compare 1.08 with 500. Of course, I'm not using that artillery in the abyssal, I'm using auto-cannons, but still, I say this for comparison purposes. All in all, in short, long story short, no sneaky stuff, just overheat everything, it is a matter of "who dies first". And, finally, even though new players might know what it is, I have to mention, for this purpose, bring some "nanite repair paste".

This guide is awesome - thank you. It’s one of the best abyssal guides on you tube. Explaining the strategy for each type of room is really helpful. One thing - if you could expand a little on how to deal with the deviant suppressor towers that would be helpful. I once had a room with a medium deviant suppressor plus a devoted knight so my drones kept dying and I had no choice but to go close range and basically died. Many thanks

Jun 28, 2022 its not work, low dps and kikis and vedmak destroy you. Even if you dont get pop you can make more profit running T1 with high dps fit because this one its super slow for end a T2.
