JB TVAM interview - re-upload
After the quality of the previous upload of this interview degenerated, and a few requests to be able to see the interview properly again, here it is. It was a shame to lose everyone's comments but I think it's important to see JB in the best possible quality! : )
Also, I've compressed it all into one part this time, which makes things easier.

Jeremy Brett in The Good Soldier
Переглядів 7 тис.16 років тому
Please watch in 'High Quality'. After what has seemed an age since my last video, here is a quick one I put together of JB in one of my favourite roles of his, Captain Ashburnham - The Good Soldier. Unfortunately it's not a very long vid because the music is relatively short. Still, I hope everyone enjoys. Jeremy's Petition: gopetition.com/online/13450.html

Another Jeremy Brett interview, this time with Derek Jameson.
Jeremy Brett/Edward Hardwicke Interview
Переглядів 553 тис.17 років тому
This interview with Jeremy Brett and Edward Hardwicke was conducted, I imagine, in the late '80s. It touches upon the play The Secret of Sherlock Holmes, as well as the Granada TV series. I love the red socks too, got to get me some of those!
A Study in Sherlock

The part where Jeremy Brett's portrayal of Sherlock Holmes is discussed in BBC4's 'A Study in Sherlock' documentary. With comments from Edward Hardwicke and Michael Cox. The programme also 'played the game' as 'Dr. Watson' narrates -_^
'Feeling Good'

Another Jeremy Brett vid, this time mostly with Sherlock Holmes clips.
Jeremy and Edward, the dream team.
He'd be an awesome vampire
Jolly good
He is the real Sherlock Holmes. And of course, he is amazing.❤
Although others have played Sherlock and Watson very well, Jeremy Brett and Edward Hardwick will always be the Sherlock and Watson for me. I am going to share their amazing work with my 11 Year old son soon.
If Jeremy is not a star, who is?
Jeremy was Holmes.
Каква дикција!!!!!
The greatest Sherlock in history, Jeremy Brett! Thank you for the incredible memories!!
He was brilliant as Holmes.
Rathbone was far better.
I just love this actor in Sherlock!❤
Pity about the silly earring.....
I found Oscar Wilde’s “The Ideal Husband” from 1969 starting a young Jeremy. Lovely!
Such wonderfully rich culture to have thrown away so easily. I say this as an Irishman. Despite our countries past dreadful shared history, I for one, would say that I believe their diction and beautiful English was amongst the finest ever of the language. The richness and precision and eloquence of the language as evinced by very fine speakers like these is undeniable. I think it a terrible shame that this enormously fine, rich culture is being aggressively phased out and replaced like sh1t. God save us ALL in every Western country now: to whence are we going? 😢😢 🙏☘🇮🇪🏴🏴🏴🇨🇵🇩🇪🇺🇸🙏
What a wonderful Gandalf the Grey Jeremy would have made. Even better than Sir Ian (if that's possible), but that's neither here nor there now. RIP and God speed Jeremy. Thank you so very much for your LEGENDARY contribution to our society. 👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I was one of those six and seven year olds who fell in love with Sherlock Holmes in the very early 1980s that he spoke of and I cannot express the sorrow I feel at the loss of the greatest actor of Sherlock Holmes we have ever seen.
The best actor on the world...
I’m all for a rough around the edges interview. But this guy gets a bit buffoonish with the booze questions.
He was the greatest Sherlock then and now.
I disagree he doesn't rank besides Basil Rathborn as Holmes he is head and shoulders above all of them. As a young child I fell in love with the Holmes stories. A love that has stayed with me into my seventies. In all this time although I have seem many Holmes portrayals none have encompassed the depth of nuance of Holmes. Jeremy breathed such life into the character that I can hardly forget a single episode. It greatly saddened me during his later years in the role that his illness would come to prevent their completion. Such a great stellar cast, Hardwick was the perfect foil for the role, and a fine actor in his own right. I feel blessed that they all accomplished so much.
He is not "next" to anyone, he is a category of his own!
Uploader, why don't you put a date on when this was aired?
While I was aware that PBS carried the series in the '80s, I worked evenings then and had no chance to watch original airings. But now that Roku carries it, I've watched each episode through TWICE so far! The BEST casting! Love Jeremy Brett's interpretation of the character, and both Edward Hardwicke AND the first Watson, David Burke are much closer to the original Strand newspaper's Watson than Nigel Bruce. No offense, but the "golden age" of Hollowood didn't always get it right.
Allistair Cooke!!! That’s the one who was the anchorman for Omnibus. I loved that program. I was around 12 and 13 in the late ‘50’s.
There have been many great Holmes actors. But! Jeremy Brett is the ultimate, the most exact Sherlock ever. He caught his thought process, his character, and his deeply buried soul. What an incredible actor. 🥀🌹 🧐🤔 He’s also so very intelligent - I just love hearing his reasoning.
Shocking interview by Jameson - could he have pushed the booze label any harder? - and so expertly outmanoeuvred by the wonderful human that was Jeremy Brett.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍🏼🇺🇸
Jeremy Brett? Sherlock Holmes! Nobody comes close. Nobody. RIP. 🥀 🔎
Jeremi Brett💌💝💝💝
Ah so sad I taped every one of his sherlock Holmes wouldn't look at anyone else just loved him and dr Watson you couldn't take your eyes off him rip fine gentleman its elementry my dear Watson ❤❤
Jeremy was Sherlock. He took Basil Rathbones crown. Conan Doyle wrote Holmes with Jeremy aforethought.
I had the great good fortune to see these two wonderful actors in The Secret of Sherlock Holmes, at Wyndham’s Theatre, on a visit to London. I had been told to line up in Leicester Square for last-minute theatre tickets, where you never knew what might be available until you got to the head of the line. I couldn’t believe my luck, because I had watched every episode of the Granada TV series and was a huge fan, and when I got to the theatre that night, I was absolutely spellbound. God bless you and RIP, Mr Brett, you were literally a dream come true!
I think Mr Brett made a great Holmes because he stood out as engmatic, edgy and dressed for the interview in a modern, Californian style.
Qué hermoso es.
So awesome. God bless Jeremy.
I love this show and I am blown over by their performance’s.
“Found it on Clapham Common” As a gay man who grew up in London in the 80s that has a very obvious hidden implication 😂😂😂 Bet that wasn’t the only ring our Jeremy found on the Common with a handsome face like his
he reminds me of joquinn phonix of gladiator
I wish I could have seen the play
What is not to love! How I miss them. 💐
He was completely believable as Holmes.
For ever Holmes, thx you Jeremy for your talent
The text you provided includes a collection of emojis and hashtags, making summarising a bit challenging. However, from what I can gather, it seems to be referencing a channel or collection related to cPTSD (complex post-traumatic stress disorder) and its potential impact on public health and educational systems. It mentions the importance of fully funded and comprehensive research projects for optimising the earth, concentrating on worldwide betterment and neurodivergent individuals. The emojis and hashtags seem to convey positivity and enthusiasm. Rephrasing: Your message conveys the importance of fully funded and comprehensive research projects focused on worldwide betterment and the impact of cPTSD on public health and educational systems. It also emphasises the significance of supporting neurodivergent individuals. Therefore, please let me finally express a strong sense of positivity and enthusiasm toward YOU, the content of creators of this exquisite channel! Shine On!✨🌟🚀🎇👕🔱👔🔰🚢🚣🚄🎽🚤🚅⚓⛩️🛡️
He had the perfect voice for Holmes.
Jeremy was, in my esteemed opinion, the Holmes of them all 😊
The role killed him. Jeremy died too soon.
Holmes/Brett said, "This is a three pipe problem." Excellent. I don't smoke but somehow I'll take this as a method of dealing with a challenge.
I wonder what a relationship would have been had Jeremy met John Moffet, each being (defined) by, through their final most ingrained character. 🫱📖🫲. I hope the meeting would have been uplifting for both. M. 🪥. IL
Well - 4 years on from my post - Brett and Hardwicke were appalling. Brett -effeminate. Hardwick - cardboard on legs. The worst, Sherlock and Holmes ... ever.
I think Sherlock and Holmes were the same character , as for the rest of your post we will just put that dowm as utter drivel
