Dead Reckoning | Best Free-Ride MTB Trail in Park City?
Переглядів 1 тис.2 роки тому
This is a re-upload. Hoping that it comes through with better quality. Dead Reckoning is a black diamond free ride trail featuring mandatory gaps and a few technical sections. A great aspect of this trail is that it is accessible by an easy pedal loop. No need to pay for a lift ticket! This is debatably one of the best free-ride trails in Park City. GET OUT AND SHREDDDDD!!!!!! Filmed: Wednesday...
MTB SNOW adventure in JUNE? | Canyons Downhill MNT BIKING | Park City, UT

While biking at Canyons, I was surprised to still find some decent snow patches at the top of Insurgent. While the top was still snowy, the downhill (Insurgent and Ricochet) portion of the trail had perfect conditions!! Insurgent is a double black downhill trail that then feeds into Ricochet which is a blue downhill trail. The trail system at Canyons is great for riders of all skill levels! Whe...

Stoked to have gotten out on my first mountain bike ride of the season! The trails in Park City are still a little snowy and muddy so we headed down to the Corner Canyon trail system in Draper, UT. (About 45 minute drive from PC) Jacob's Ladder is one of my favorite downhill trails in this area. Super fun, moderate climb to a flowy downhill! We love Dollar Mountain at Sun Valley Ski Resort! It is a really mellow hill with great terrain for beginner to intermediate level skiers as well as a few varying level terrain parks. To be honest, we didn't have high expectations going to ski this place since there wasn't any "expert" terrain, but this may be one of the funnest ski days we have had all season! This was super helpful! We’re planning a trip out there, and my husband & kids are better skiers/snowboarders than me, so I was kind of worried that there wouldn’t be much for me to enjoy. But these runs look perfect for me! Thanks!

I haven’t ridden the bobsled in way too long (at least a few years). The long drive up through the neighborhood and the long climb to the top of the trail have been factors that put me off a bit, but it was a lot of fun. Now I’m a much better jumper, I don’t think I would be so intimidated by those rusty old cars, which I was convinced were going to slice me in half if I missed the gap. I should go up again and session parts of the bobsled!

I am not calling out this channel only since almost all reviewers never point out that the fall-lines in the King Con pod are horrible. While trail maps are normally not very accurate, the PCMR trail map does accurately depict this fact. Also, the snow quality in the King Con pod tends to be worse than other parts of the mountain. Also, like most resorts, be careful with the daily grooming report. It is not always accurate. There are far better blue cruisers on the Canyons side of the mountain. Apex Ridge, Mercury, Echo, Lookout Ridge just to name a few. Great fall-lines and long runs

My only trip to Chatter was about 2 weeks after Craig Kelly perished in that avalanche Jan. 2003. The guides were a little spooked to take us out to some of the higher Alpine zones, but what we got to ride was still impressive.

I susbscribed because Local Boy is in a freeheel kit. Proudly a doob here. Free the heel, all that hooey. It's just more fun, and fun is the point, isn't it? Anyhow, I'm at PC this week. If you have tips on two points, please share: 1. A strategy in a low-snow time? Maybe go high when possible; looks like King Con isn't running. 2. Best way to get to and from Canyons, namely, take the gondola or just use the shuttle bus?

THIS IS THE SECOND LARGEST SKI AREA IN ALL OF NORTH AMERICA ONLY BEHIND WHISTLER/BLACKCOMB AND ONLY BY 873 SQ ACRES. WE SKIED 11 DAYS AT PARK CITY AND SKIED ONLY 1 RUN EACH AND STILL ONLY COVERED 57% OF ALL THE RUNS AT PARKCITY. YOU WOULD NEED AT LEAST 23-24 DAYS TO SKI ABOUT 90-95% OF THE 341 TRAILS. PARKCITY DOESN’T GET NEARLY THE CREDIT IT DESERVES. PARKCITY IS FAR BETTER THAN WHISTLER OR VAIL . SNOW IS FAR SUPERIOR AND IS MUCH CHEAPER THAN VAIL AND WHISTLER. ❤❤❤❤❤

Sidewinder at Canyons is a great transition black diamond run from the top of Tombstone Lift. Normally grommed but not groomed everyday. A fairly easy black diamond. Some great steeper blue runs with good falllines are Mercury off of the Iron Mountain chair, Lookout ridge off of the mid station of the Orange Bubble lift, and Apex Ridge off of the Super Condor lift. Have fun out there
