Hi, welcome to my channel for all the North western PA. train action from the CSX Chicago main line, NS Buffalo main line, Bessemer and Lake Erie main line and the old Erie main with Western New York and Pennsylvania.
Reading & Northern #2102 Freight Test Run 4/26/22
As we turned the clock back even further back to April 22nd, 2022. I take my first ever outing onto the Redding & Northern metals to see R&N class T-1 4-8-4 #2102 on the now infamous 50 car test. The day started just north of North Reading PA, following the mainline all the way to Jim Thorpe, where she wye the whole train back for a run in to Tamaqua. Here she dropped off the train then proceeded back up the line to wye herself for the move to Port Clinton but by that time the crew time had outlawed they had to call in another crew from the yard in Tamaqua to pick up the engine and drag it back all the way to Port Clinton. This day has truly cemented why she is a popular steam engine in this part of the state. This was also another trip where I had experience some mechanical issues both with the camcorder I was borrowing at the time and my tripod at that time was also broken so the operations of it was not the greatest, and I tried my best with what I had but nonetheless This is surely a memorable trip that I will not be forgetting anytime soon. My guide on this day was a good friend of mine @GTRailFanProductions

This train being hauled by famous Nickel Plate Road S-2 class steam locomotive #765. One of my personal favorite excursion stars. This would be my first time out on the Indiana Northeastern chasing the 765. This excursi...

Continuing with the steam theme, we go back to earlier in October 2023 during the Indiana Rail Experience, Indiana Fall Color Train on the Indiana and Northeastern Railroad. This train being hauled by famous Nickel Plate Road S-2 class steam locomotive #765. One of my personal favorite excursion stars. This would be my second time out on the Indiana Northeastern chasing the 765 the first time w...

As mentioned in the previous video during our trip to see the NW 611 with friends of mine, @GTRailFanProductions , @chendersonrailproductions704, and @DroppedSignal, that Friday night we had learned that 611 had developed a mechanical issue and she was not going to be able to run on Saturday. Not to waste a perfectly good Saturday we had figured out that Western Maryland Scenic #1309 was just a...

During the last weekend of October of 2023 (27th-29th), I find myself down in Virginia during peak Fall foliage, on the Buckingham Branch Railroad (BB) for their Shenandoah Limited pulled by no other than the famous Norfolk and Western J class #611. The Shenandoah Limited was an excursion on the Buckingham Branch in partnership with the Virginia Scenic Railway, from Goshen, VA to Staunton, VA m...
Oil City's Wye Bridge: The Final Run To Southside
Переглядів 10 тис.10 місяців тому
On this day February 1st, 2024, we witnessed the very last train to ever cross the infamous Wye Bridge before shutting down this part line. Located on the Allegheny River in a city that started the first oil boom, Oil City PA. Doing the honors today is Western New York & Pennsylvania C430 #430 as it slowly takes the final trip across this bridge with one hopper from Altium Packaging, formerly k...

Back in November, I was out with friends in the Deshler, Ohio, area and we ran a few horns. So I ran my mutt 5T with snow cones. It still backs a punch and I couldn’t be more pleased with it.

Nice video Chris! Glad to see the video after 2 years. We can both agree, that was worth diverting our plans to. And probably the best steam event we have ever witnessed.
They will probably make a rail-trail out of it and pay for it out of the scrap rail.
that bridge is in better shape than most of PA highway bridges! Dont believe everything the railroad tells !
Good God Almighty, NCSTL 576's whistle on 765, just gives me chills everytime. Reminds me of the 1991 NRHS Convention with 765 wearing a C&O Hancock Long Bell 3-Chime on the Auxiliary Cord. I'm sad I missed out on this, but great video, Chris! Keep the videos coming!
Hope it Stay's
High taxes, over regulation, blocked mergers, subsidized competition (roads). Rail freight would have been much better in a freer market.
Awesome video Chris! Glad to finally see how your angles turned out from the trip! 2816 clearing the signal bridge was a hawt shot
I absolutely love watching these train videos
If 611 is the Queen of Steam, then 765 has to be the King of Steam, at least East of the Mississippi! Great video.
I see me in the first shot, LOL. Awesome video Chris. Glad to see your angles from the trip
Very nice indeed. Hard to imagine these running at 50-60-70 mph back in the day. My fav piece- @47:00 the railfan pass/start under load and final beautiful landscape and pass @51:00. Great picture composition. Thanks for the vid.

jealous you got to see it moving. every time ive tried to see it shes broken or not running.
Yeah we lucked out with 1309 running while the 611 was down on that Saturday.
@@Viloco_Valve_Productions I've seen 611 at least three times. First time was at the Spencer event with all the streamliners. And then a couple times at Strasburg
I'm in love with the first down low angle and the shot between the trees! Great video Chris!
Great video, nice to see you're joining us on UA-cam!
Awesome video! Glad to see another upload!
Great you were there to document it
Great video.
That’s pretty cool that you got the last run! I was hoping to get them working that line when I went up last April but they didn’t work it the day I chased them.
Yeah they only ran like once every 4 months. But I got this cause I had this turn for six straight weeks.
be nicer without the foamers in plain view
To be honest I didn’t care I know this was going to be a big deal.
I haven’t been there in years since I was there with my ex girlfriend to take her to see her brother. Have more videos of oil city?
Sadly no, thou the WNYP is basically in my backyard I don’t go down that branch. I just made the exception for this run.
One of only 4 active Alco C430's in the world.
Very sad more freight on the roads.
Awesome Video Chris! Glad to see you upload something!
This is poggers.
Poggers??????
non k5h raised letter ist Nathan k5la 2nd gen
I remember the Hewletts the coal cars being dumped down the shute into the ships holes, it just don't look the same. I use to go down there in the 60's and watch the boats
Before 905's collision with a log truck.
Good god that is amazing. I’m getting an RS5T on Saturday
haha thats young me that day was crazy when the cops came
also used on CTrail
I’m aware but when I got this horn it was way before those rebuilt locomotives was a thing.
Classic NS Dash 9 sound, flat #5 bell included. Awesome horn
K5LLAs are better.
Jk jk jk jk jk jk. Great video man.
Sweet. I love a horn with cones.
Looks like an empty south. During the short lived coal contract the CN had the aluminum hoppers on the sub for dedicated coal service. Some of the B&LE hoppers also were put into this service. Ironically the short return of coal brought the end off the T-motors to the sub as CN wanted to move 110 loads north, the coal quickly left but the IC's stayed. Strange twist of fate
Wow sounds very unique!! Do you happen to know the year or perhaps the serial?
No, I don't. It's not my horn.
@@Viloco_Valve_Productions Ah no problem then
You are a genius! I love - ABSOLUTLEY LOVE -- the black and white footage! This makes is very realistic and old-fashioned looking! I can't believe that this is a "toy" set! The way you filmed it makes it appear life-size! Great work! Ruthie B. Howard August 01, 2021
WOW! WOW! THIS is GREAT!!! Enjoyed it very much! Ruthie B. Howard August 01, 2021
Wow! Thank you for this fresh upload from only a few hours ago! I enjoyed it! Ruthie B. Howard August 01, 2021
So an Aussie K5 on an H manifold? I dig it!
Conneaut used to be booming... it is sorta sad . Its definitely not as active as years passed
What’s left? They still use them
Wow
Amazing video!
That horn is out on a lot of Ns locomotives. P5's
Nice! I’m going here tomorrow. Any advice?
Where’s the second shot?
Nice shot on the Lake Street Bridge! I shoot trains there all the time! I'm just sad though because they are gonna demolish it. I chased this train from Ashtubula and in your last shot, I was about a 1/2 mile down the tracks at the trestle spanning Elk Creek! I got beautiful shots there too!
That's Rare! Nice catch!
Bessemer & Lake Erie 902 Thanks!
Cool! I love that last spot at CP 97! I go there all of the time.
Wow! That's a short 309!
