Wandering Walleys
United States
Приєднався 6 тра 2024
We are a family of 4 from Mississippi who love adventure and travel. In 2020, we sold our "dream house" and downsized to a small fixer upper. My wife and I want our kids to see all the beauty and diversity that our nation offers; so, we have a family goal of visiting all 50 states before my daughter graduates high school and we are using our new life style to achieve this! Now, I am terrified out heights and will not fly, so all our a trips are cars trips. These are our home videos from our travels around our great nation. This channel is a family project, with the videos being narrated, and written, by our children. They do the research and add their own creative touches to each video.
Valles Caldera National Preserve
Our trip out West - Day 3
We visited Valles Caldera, located about 20 miles from Los Alamos, New Mexico. The Caldera is a collapsed volcano that last erupted 1.2 million years ago. We saw elk, deer, birds, rabbits and Prairie Dogs! This park was a surprise and I wish I would have planned more time here, but glad we were able to enjoy what we did. If you are driving to this park from Los Alamos, there is a section that goes through the lab! We had to go through a security check, but it was worth it. It was cool seeing how the streets were named after events that happed because of the Manhattan Project.

Our Trip Out West - 2022 We stopped at Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, TX on our way from Oklahoma City to Santa Rosa, NM. during our trip out West. It was very windy, which made the audio terrible. Our kids loved this quick stop, but what kid wouldn't love spraying painting a car?!

Our trip in June 2021 to the Everglades National Park in Florida. My mom, BIL, son and my self kayaked the Hell's Bay Kayak trail. Growing up on the Gulf Coast, we've kayaked a lot; however, clearly my mom was not with us! My dad and I had talked several times about kayaking the mangrove trees; however, we never got around to it. My father passed away a few months before this trip. So this trip...

Our Trip Our West - June 2022 Oklahoma City was our first stop on our two week road trip. My wife and I were young when the OKC bombing happened and the severity of this attack wasn't fully understood until we finally made the visit to this memorial. This is a very well done memorial that honors not only those that were lost in the attacks, but also recognizes the families that lost love ones. ...
