Exidy Circus 1977
Here's a look and quick game of my 1977 Exidy Circus. I hope you enjoy it. I know it's been a while since my last video. I have received a couple more games since then so there will be more coming. I wanted to say thanks to the Coin Rejects Podcast for pushing me to start filming again.

Atari Gran Trak 10 (1974)

Here is my Gran Trak 10 Cabinet with gameplay. I show both the normal and alternate race tracks. My camera seemed to have a little trouble focusing this time but it's not too bad I hope.
A tour of the games in my place
Переглядів 3,8 тис.9 років тому
I decided to take a tour of the games in my place. I have a couple more in here then I would normally. There are 23 in here now which is just over half of my collection. I do rotate them in sometimes but this is what I currently have for people to play when they visit. I didn't realize it until after I uploaded the video but it appears the last 30 or so seconds got cut off so it ends abruptly. ...

Here's a video on my Midway Guided Missile. I'll show the cabinet and some of the unique features of this game. After rewatching the video it appears I was given 37 seconds for extended play and was given 70 seconds for game play originally
Another stunt cycle PCB repair
Переглядів 60210 років тому
I had a spare Stunt Cycle board I thought I'd get working and I documented my fixes. There's a couple things I wish I would have said differently in it but the one error I want to point out was at 2:07 I called the chip I replaced a LM745 and it's a LM747.

Atari Tournament Table (1978)
Переглядів 2,4 тис.10 років тому
Here's a video I did on my Tournament Table arcade game. To keep the length of the video down I had to go through the different game versions pretty quickly. I hope I did the game justice.
Atari Breakout (1976)
Переглядів 10 тис.11 років тому
Here's a video of my Breakout cocktail game. I just want to say this game proved to be difficult to play and give commentary at the same time. That's my excuse for some of the long pauses and fumbling of words.

Subs by Atari (1979)
Переглядів 3,7 тис.11 років тому
Here is my Subs in action. Like I said in the video it's a lot more fun playing a human opponent. The computer is a little trigger happy and makes it pretty easy to find. There tends to be a little more strategy involved in a two player game. As you watch the video just remember there's a second screen on the other side of the cabinet displaying the other subs point of view.

the number of buses are correct. now to find out why the one player switch is not lighting. bad MCR 101 @ Q18: replaced with NTE5400 so the bulb under the one player switch would get power

Stunt Cycle repair pt. 2
Переглядів 33612 років тому
repaired the messed up cycle image now on to the row of buses at the bottom Replaced 7486 @ C8 and 7485 @ E6: E6 takes the score (number of busses jumped) and uses that to calculate how many buses to display then displays the landing ramp. Because it was bad nothing told the game to stop drawing the buses. C8 was a bad exclusive or gate which would have caused the input data to be wrong.

This was my fav arcade game when I was growing up. Two player was fun but 8 player in color was awesome. You had to throttle, shift gears and brake while standing up. The sounds in this vid bring back many childhood memories. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for this great video. Is the flight stick on this game analog or is just a simple 4 way stick.

    • @blinddog44

Glad you enjoyed the video. The flight stick is analog and allows you to specify how fast to bank, climb or dive during gameplay. I really enjoy how the game controls on this one.

There are cheats, where you take shortcuts by breaking through the walls at the right places. Not much faster if at all though.

I learned how to drive on that machine. I always freaked out my high school driving instructor, he’d always yell “get the wheel back” because on this machine you didn’t need to.

They should have done the "Pepper's Ghost" trick for the city, the way Space Invaders did it with the moonscape. I think that ghost effect would be awesome with vector graphics.

You should be able to get up to 27. That’s when the circuit should signal max score. Does the game end for you at 23 or is it you can’t get the bike fast enough to jump more than 23?

When I was a kid 8 or 9 I always thought that the tunnels that the bike goes through looked like a telephone receiver.

One of the reasons this lost money for Atari was that they sourced the wheel, shifter and pedals from actual auto part manufacturers. I’d love to feel the quality of those elements in person.

Back in the late 70s and early 80s I would see this in Blackpool. Was one of my favs. Had no idea of the technique of spinning the wheel like that... no wonder I was rubbish at it. It was still there in the late 80s when Super Sprint came out... I still preferred the older one.

I used to vacation in Old Orchard Beach in Maine in the late ‘70’s thru the mid ‘80’s, they had an arcade just off the beach and they had this game in there. I put a LOT of quarters into that thing and finally jumped all the buses. Good times!

My very first video game that I ever played down at the local grocery store. This was the marijuana of video games for me. The gateway drug, if you will. I can never find it anywhere though, least of all none ever seem to come up for sale. I'm almost ashamed to admit how much money-which my family didn't really have-that I spent on this and other video games as they came out.

I’ve played this from certain times on Atari Flashback on Switch. NGL, took me short boredoms of will intent to start enjoying the simplicity of this ancient arcade classic. Just can’t believe a gaming youngster born less than 30 years after the Atari age is enjoying this game in my mid 20s in the modern era. But in an honest opinion, don’t like the concept of inserting coins to only extend the time. Feels like you’re trying to pay and cheat to win that massive high score. Can imagine being that big spender burning through his wallet to stack up that high score.
