It still works today September 25 took a couple of tries but remember to hold katana with both hands and fully charged them. The moves are 2 fully charged R2 and one stance R2 after that just normal attack him to make him fall. Most importantly wait for him to face you then hit him hope it helps.

Can’t stunt him.

I just tried this and I swear it didn’t work for me. When I threw the knife he wouldn’t care and would just turn around and leave every time. But it gave me another idea that **did** work: I lured him close by the ledge like you did, but once he stopped, I jumped out and started attacking him until I knew he was close to staggering. Then I backed up to the very edge of the cliff, waited for him to charge me, dodged, and then staggered him. Then he fell right off the cliff, piece of cake lol. I do not feel any ounce of remorse for doing this. I don’t feel like I’m that bad at this game, and have had a much easier time with main bosses, but this guy was BS. I could dodge his lightning strikes easy on foot, but it was impossible on horseback, and if I was on foot, it was impossible to dodge his lightning wave that one shot me every time. Basically it felt like beating him was going to take lucky RNG.

This is the worst boss in the game, if you get too close to him, he spams the same attacks and stun locks you, if you attack from a distance, he spams the same attacks and stun locks you. If you have to heal any time during the fight he spams attacks. The only boss in the game I hate with every fibre of my being.
