Kitapfte01 — Souvenir d’Amour: Étude poétique (Viewer composition special!)
This ‘Étude poétique’ was written by Japanese composer Kitapfte01 in about 2024 as an homage to Italian composer Stefano Golinelli (1818-1891). Performed by the composer.
About the composer: Kitapfte01 is an amateur pianist and composer, and has a deep interest in the lesser-known piano music of the early to mid romantic era. For over a decade he has operated a UA-cam channel (of the same name) through which he shares his own recordings of such pieces, some of which have been featured on this channel. In addition, he enjoys collecting rare period scores and managing a website through which he shares these along with other information he finds about the composers. His efforts are, in my opinion, very remarkable. As a result his taste and compositional style are exceptionally refined, allowing the production of pieces, such as this, that are authentic to the idiom but original and expressive in their own right. Please consider supporting his endeavors! Links are below.
Other notes: If you are a composer and would like me to feature your compositions in the same way, I am always happy to do so! Please feel free to contact me by commenting here or by joining the channel discord server. I may, additionally, be able to design a cover such as the one I made for this composition.

Just adore this piece. Why isn't this performed in concert halls.
a bit superficial, pleasant enough. lots of Chopin in this.
dude i love your style, id love to take some pointers from you

Kalkbrenner was a notable teacher and a successful businessman, as well as a very capable pianist and composer. His bio is quite interesting to read, and his music provides generally excellent listening. Thanks for sharing.
The first two movements are great, but, the last movement is so... bleh
Absolute masterpiece. This sonata is a tribute to Beethoven's Appasionatta, also Op 57. You can hear elements of Beethoven's Appasionatta, especially in the 1st movement and 3rd movement LH
YOU DON'T KNOW HOW LONG I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS! Oh wait I just realised that this is the performance I've been listening to all along, but still pleased that there is a score video. (I'm making a midi for this btw)
Ur the goat for posting all reminiscences in 1 vid
@@joethompson1724 thanks so much man
LET'S GO!!
nice!!! greetings from brazil!
Nice piece here!
This is absolutely superb. One of the most impressive original compositions I've heard on this entire platform. Beautifully performed I may add.
I like this nocturne. One of the better lesser-known nocturnes imo
It's an interesting piece and enjoyable to listen to and follow along. Still reminiscent of his didactic works.
Not really.. A Composer with plenty of technique but zero music. Just loads of notes in boring modulations
Finally a Score video of this Work, Glad you finally made it since ive seen someone make a midi and this recording ❤❤❤
Even in my wildest dreams I would have never imagined that once in my life I would be able to hear this piece played by a human 😄I would love to hear him play the grand allegro di bravoura from op 822. Thanks so much for uploading this and for all your efforts towards Czerny!
Nice! This is probably one of my favorite works from Czerny now!
Is the first movement sorta inspired by Spanish guitar music? I hear similar vibes to Scarlatti
Very nice, but he runs out of ideas by the 3rd movement. Smoothly played.
Very tasteful music
Are you working on any new projects lately? You are one of my favorite channels.
@@fruisen9436 Here I am letting my curiousity check out the above channel - and turns out I have already listened to every single video! Englund is top-notch.

Wow....just wow!
Great♡I must learn this work.
Beautiful and touching, love it ❤🎶🎹 thank you for uploading.
I'm not a pianist, but I love classical music, especially the lesser-known composers. Sorry for my english, I'm Brazilian learning that língua.
Language not lingua. Excellent English btw. Parabens I spoke Portuguese very well years ago but forgot so much. I play piano but not that good. I love watching and reading along though
@@ciararespect4296 That was the proofreader, I think. But thank you! It's very gratifying to receive compliments from someone who speaks the language natively. In addition to having other admirers of this beautiful and diverse musical style. And of course, If you want to study Portuguese again, I would be very happy.
Hilarious! Thanks for posting.
I'm absolutely astonished at how delightful this concerto is - and from a composer I never previously knew existed. WOW!
Me as well, this just made my Friday.
If you like this you'd like Herz's piano concertos 🔥

Fantastic...wonderful...!!!!
Indeed it reminds me to Chopin,… nevertheless it is very pleasant pianoconcert ,… it does not reach very high but good enough !🎼🎵
this is soo nice
Döhler is one of my favourites of the lesser-known "Chopin generation" pianists.
Bravo~👏✨️✨️
is this in RCM or ABRSM or TCL... and what level?
バレエでこの曲を知った。わくわくする楽しいタランテラ🎉
Oh god - ANOTHER contriver? I never had heard of this one until now. It sounds just like spohr - an unglorified harmony exercise dressed up in orchestral instrumentation. Everything is four-square, totally predictable, and there is not a single moment of ravishing beauty. Not one. Plodding and going nowhere.
If Chopin wrote the cake-walk... Echoes of Scott Joplin rag. I have been a serious student of music for seventy years and never heard of the guy. Great recording
All Herz wrote is "wow"
Una belleza aún desconocida. Amé la Marcha fúnebre. Otro compositor que merece más merito en el mundo moderno! Bravo, bravissimo!
Definitely seem to be similarities with the Chopin concertos---> and if i may give my own humble opinion, this Tellefsen seems better. (^^) At the very least, Tellefsen gives the orchestra more to do than the young Pole does, and the accompaniment is more substantial than the "almost completely useless" Chopin parts derided by Berlioz.~ Anyway, i think it is fair to call this Trllefsen work quite a discovery... Irrelevant personal aside--> Quite an intriguing evening of listening for me, as before this i had stumbled across the Henselt piano concerto. There is still plenty of great music to discover, to be sure.
Querido Czerny! Obrigada!
❤❤❤❤
It announces Brahms already in 1824! Very impressive.
Herz was not only a talented musician, he was also an engineer who invented many improvements of piano mechanisms that are still used today.
Nice!! Bravo!!!
Some nice moments in 1, 6, and 7, but don't these feel a bit lacking and/or basic compared to Chopin's op 10/25 and Liszt's TE? From Thalberg's reputation at the time, I expected more tbh.
Thalberg's reputation, as far as I know, came mostly from his opera transcriptions.
This actually a pretty good work by Herz. Suprised he is more "famous" for his not-so-sophisticated ones
Love this piece. I find it uplifting and joy filled!
