      @@bagballzwhat was the difference in lap times? I've got a non evo and I'm going to start racing soon but don't want to be a sitting duck out of the corners lol

    • @bagballz
      @bagballz 7 місяців тому

      Its about a 1% difference unfortunately - over 45 second lap I was about 0.4 to 0.5s faster from engine alone. KNSW do give a 5kg weight advantage to the non-evo which helps a little but not enough to bring them in line. I ran my non-evo for my first year of racing, it was enough to be in the mix with people at the back of the back but was definitely frustrating watching people just driveaway down the straights@@lachlanjeffery88

      @@bagballzah that's not as bad as I thought actually, I think I'd be alright in the tag heavy (unrestricted) category since I can run 7kg lighter, at Indy 800 since it's not too much of a power based track, eastern creek is pretty reliant on top speed which the non evo doesn't seem to have lol, also based on dynos the power gap is smaller unrestricted

    Just got my girlfriend on one of these. We are on the shore as well ironically. Interesting to hear your thoughts. When you swapped the dropper lever over did the post speed up? It’s pretty damn slow on ours. Funny to read the comments about weight (my bike is easily over 37lbs) and yours on climbing. My gf was on a 153 kona before and is now flying up the mountain relative to her old bike.

    • @bagballz
      @bagballz 3 роки тому

      the lever didnt change the post speed, i was just getting blisters on my hand and hated the positioning. if your post is slow at returning id check there is enough cable tension and that theres enough air in there. dropper posts run around 300psi (depending on the make and model) so over the course of 6 months slight air leaks cause big differences in return speed. If you take the saddle off the valve on this bike is on top of the post and should have the max air pressure written on it
