Babymetal - Onedari Daisakusen - live REACTION #11
This is my reaction to another ‘Black Babymetal’ song featuring the cute-sey pair YuiMetal and MoaMetal. I’ve read the actual lyrics on this song and they’re quite disturbing for a western culture, but for an Oriental culture, I’ve learnt it’s rather normal...go read the lyrics and see what I mean.

This was 3 months before the USSR was no more. This was September 1991. Gorbachev lowered the hammer & sickle flag from the Kremlin for the last time December 25, 1991 & replaced it with the 3 color flag. This was the 1st western culture event in Russia in 5 years. 'For Those About To Rock: Monsters In Moscow' as part of the Monsters of Rock Tour. Artists were: Metallica, Pantera, AC/DC, The Black Crowes & E.S.T.. The military were going to cancel the show almost right before people started showing up. But for fear of revolt, they didn't. They expected 500,000. It was estimated at 1.6million. Crowd Scan had since tried to do an accurate count using video footage. They settled on 1.6million but said it was most likely a little more than that. 1.6 Million people....and this is only 3rd on the all time list of crowds at an open air concert. #1 is Rod Stewart at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with a crowd of 3.5 Million in 1994. #2 was Jean Michel Jarre in 1997 also in Russia, like that Metallica show, with 3.5 Million.

Im sorry, but everyone commenting on the crowd size, they arent anywhere near correct!!!!! With advances in computers and technology harvard university recently published a report where they used their combined egghead powerand used their new supercomputer facial recognition application. The computer revealed that original head counts and estimates were about as wrong as humanly possible !!!! it precisely proved beyond any doubt and (finally squashing the debates and recounts as people have been squabbling over the crowd size since metallica single handedly rocked moscow so FUCKING hard that THE FUCKING BERLIN WALL CAME TUMBLING DOWN ENDING THE RUSSIAN VERSION OF COMMUNISM VIA GUITAR!!!!!!!!!) But sorry back to my original point. The computer with 100000% accuracy determined that the total number of freedom and the finest quality western music starved ruskies actually came out to 87,396,556.5 (the .5 was from the pregnant chick who's baby turned out today be soooooo influenced so much in the womb that she actually gave birth to the lead singer of greenday) but that isnt including the military who provided security. If you are skeptical of that number you have to account for the formula that automatically counts one headbanger as 2.3 persons, because bangers are so pumped and crazy that they qualify as 2.3 persons. If that number seems off, f.y.i that number doesnt include the band members. Im just gald that M.I.T & harvard were finally able to squash the beef/debate/controversy at last and dismissed the horribly inaccurate previous ESTIMATES and 3rd world counting techniques that mislead us for 25+years....... Now for the real, honest part of this concert story and something that will make what you are seeing 10000000000 more powerful, deep, amazing to hear let alone see!!!! I will now give u the real story behing why this "MONSTER OF ROCK" IS SOOOOOO MUCH more important and amazing then anyone could have possibly made up were they trying to make a sappy movie .im being 1000000000% real and unlike above that was a joke, this is fact So thanks for reacting to one of the most epic sights in music history(honestly u can also sayWORLD HISTORY,because the story of why that concert was allowed to be ,well allowed in a communist country whos wheels were coming off and was taking its last breath before total collapse.it was a moment that proved that denying the people the right to just listen to good music and be free enough to let your hair down, your mullet flap in the wind and show the world you arent embarrassed to be a head banger!!!! The short of the amazing story is that on the american side, the record label saw a golden opportunity to influance/capture the hearts and minds of what was a previously untapped market in the largest country in the world that was basically a popular music/culture hermit compared to the rest of the world as anything western and worse,American was considered dangerous/immoral/American propaganda and to much of an influance on the younger soviets who at the ages of prime headbangin years are 14-30 which happend to have been the exact same age as 99% of the kind of men who start coups and revolutions so the govt wanted to throw them a bone. So the record label paid for it all to happen and it was a free concert for anyone who wanted to show up ,called "MONSTERS OF ROCK" That included bands such as Metallica,AC-DC,OZZY& Black sabbath all played and brought the fuckin house down The russian side was more complex:russian govt saw metal and rock music as satanic, uber american, dangerous to communism and the kind of music that appeals to revolutionary type individuals or counterculture. At this point in history the russian people were BEYOND DONE with communism. They were sick of waiting all day for a ration of sub par toilet paper, driving crappy cars, listening to soviet approved music and soviet approved movies and tv.they had an underground where kids and even older adults aged 40 to 50 had networks of smuggled tapes of american concerts and tv shows and banned movies that often involved americans like rambo showed us kicking communists ass's which made them even more poular for some reason.so there had been a pretty big fan base of Metallica and more so rock in general. So when the record label approached a USSR That was struggling, even guys who had been sent in to stop the revolts and riots often ignored orders to go zero tolerance and swing a heavy sword.often guys would switch sides and join the protesters.but they were trying to pacify and subdue multiple coups and revolutionary outbreaks (the beginning of the video lars is meeting with victims but the uploader cut it out) but the people were done, they had had enough and everybody knew it except maybe the high powered few who ran the scam called the USSR And those who would loose that power if the iron curtian fell.so seeing as how revolutionary behaviour is often a young mans game, the govt thought they were extending an olive branch in allowing the "MONSTERS OF ROCK" To go ahaed and play a free show at a military airfeild in moscow, hoping that the country would see it as a "more flexible govt" but the govt had tried little periods of easing up on doctrine and then stopping it once the people calmed down and this time they were not gonna get suckered into having the rug pulled out from them again.the conceret actually had the worst effect on soviet communism as possible.when metallica and the other guys FUCKIN KILLED and put on one of musics brightest history changing episodes in history and made the russian yout see what they were missing and what they had to do to get that kinda life, that brand of communism died that day, never to return again. Dont forget that this was before the internet, B4 cellphones and instantly streaming video across the globe for all to see.so its amazing to realize that it happened almost as fast as people who had come from across (and its a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE Ass country, but word spread about how amazing the show was and that it was free and it was like woodstock ,the "RUSSTOCK" And thats no exaggeration. People came from across russia because nothing like it had ever happened in russia.that music was cause for arrest,it had to be smuggled in with 5,000$pairs of levis501 blues.it was considered up there with elvis,coca-cola and Marlboros as the scope of american culture being smuggled into a hermit country. The people were starved for anything that didnt have to go thru govt sensors . THEY wanted to decide what to watch, listen to or view not the government. This concert was a much bigger deal and had impacted a generation waaaaay more then its even been given credit for. It was seriously one of the watershed moments of the 20th century and a perfect way to see and feel what james hedfeild said was the Simultaneous release of almost a 100 years of Communist oppression and Censorship to an extent that we Americans cannot even imagine. But you can see it on the faces in the people of the crowd as they experienced their 1st real heavy metal concert and just lose their shit. At 1 point you can't see in the camera, but at 1 point the crowd is getting so pumped and releasing so much tension but the military actually thought they were rioting and they moved in and started beating people who are just enjoying the music. But again, nothing like this had ever been allowed and Russia before so no one knew what to make of it and when they saw this release they figured here we go this is what happens when you allow this type of music and they moved in on the crowd and started beating them. The band played on military kind of realized that this was just the way they were partying celebrating like I can even see son of the soldiers taking their uniforms in swinging them over their heads as they kind of defect to the other side so that they can enjoy the concertit truly is what music is really about and its amazing that it hasnt ever been detailed in a more indepth look on like a 60minutes news special,or a dateling NBC episode.when u see the crowd just loosing it,it is made a million times more amazing and powerful when u know the backstory!!!!! The USSR colapsed and was no more only less than 4-6 months after this momentous concert occoured Sorry for such a long comment.but i hope it helps become more poingant
