Great review. I had the 'Captain Morgan Dark Rum' delivered on a home shop as a substitute for 'The Kraken Black Spiced Rum' and almost called the driver to collect it !!! lol. Here is my opinion - 'Treacle is a thick, sweet, black liquid that is a by-product of the sugar-refining process' - That's it ! They found a use for 'Treacle' by-product and made an alcohol drink from it. So if you like Treacle then go for it or mix with coke. I will now place the bottle in the cupboard and offer to guests when required ;)

They now do a lemon and mandarin infused version 😍 tried it today in the UK and it's very nice 👍

Personally, I thought this tasted like a much weaker version of Monkey Shoulder. Still drinkable for sure! But I’d always choose Monkey Shoulder over this one. Thanks for your insights 👍

Love Gentleman Jack. Basically it is the regular Old No.7, Charcoal filtered again after maturity, then bottled. Lighter in taste and easier to drink. Great for beginners for bourbon or Tennessee Whiskey alike.

Howdy after a long break…slight correction..it’s at least 51% corn for it to be called a bourbon…my favourite type probably because bourbon was my first (Jim Beam)..will surely try this…also do give Blantons also a shot P.S - Currently having Jim Beam Single Barrel…and to be fair, bourbons do require some time to breathe in the glass…totally changes their profile

You should do a budget head to head with The Famous Grouse Vs Dewar's white Label Vs Teachers.

The Dewar's White Label is also Double Aged. All Dewar's Blended are Double Aged, it's their signature. That aside, the Dewar's White Label is my favorite budget blended scotch.

My favourite Maker's Mark is the cask strength bottling. Leaps ahead of the others in taste, if you can take the alcohol burn. I find the oaky taste too dominant for Maker's Mark 46.

Different temperatures effect different tastebuds differently, "some get stronger, some get weaker" that is why some food and drinks tastes better while other tastes better warm or hot., the warming might have "strenghtened" the neat tastebuds

pardon the length of this post here, but i believe the importance of vodka lies in its water source, with it's base adding some faint characteristics, a lot of Nordic and Scandinavian distillers have amazing untouched glacial water sources and each source comes into contact with different rock formations producing interesting mineral waters, so if the ethanol is masked through proper distillation or freezing really experience the mineral taste and the "Snow" sensation when you are drinking straight vodka, I recommend "Chopin" Potato vodka, it has the unique silky potato feel but also comes from a good water source, an interesting experiment would be to take Chopin, Reyka, and Belvedere with high quality sources and distillation processes and compare it side by side to more mass produced generic spirits like Titos and Smirnoff

there seems to be 2 variants of these selling in sg. one is boxed and the other unboxed. the boxed one has the sg distributor address on the label and built in speed pourer whilst the unboxed just has europe based info on the label and no speed pourer. hmmm if im not wrong, the bottle ur reviewing here is the unboxed variant which is the one i prefer

I think Absolut and Titos are the best, better than Grey Goose. They are not harsh like other vodkas.

It honestly makes a great mixer with cola….. but I would never ever drink it neat it has that all I can describe as an industrial flavour to it…. It…. There’s very little flavour that you could pick out….and its harsh but as I say makes a fabulous mixer
