Casio Casiotone 1000P - Created Sounds (programmed)
Demo of a few quickly programmed sounds on the vintage Casio (CT)1000P. Casio's first programmable additive synth (1981).
Sound is straight out, no external FX used. Audio clips in a few places (sorry) & I'm not demonstrating my ability (or lack of), just the synth sounds. Speaking of - It's got a sound/tone of it's own, very easy to use although somewhat limited. Lovely vintage piece of kit.

Before Bad News there was "Pookiesnackenburger in Hell Bent" (1985) it was a much more affectionate take on 80s metal, with good acting and a plot..

Absolutely love Bad News best metal bad (n)ever, I always hoped there would one day be a second reunion episode but it was never to be ( RIP Rik you legend) I still watch this regularly never get bored of it . Although I often wonder how many in the crowd thought they were a real band ? Plus of course this was the original line up of the Young Ones.
This definitely is one of the most "unpractical" keyboards I've ever owned. It has a prominent place in my bedroom-studio, together with a Casiotone 701, and it's going to stay there forever, and ever, and ever...... I love my vintage Casio's !!

Fun fact. You can get a simplified version of this synthesis engine in a couple of Casios Portasound keyboards from this era, like MT-70. You can’t edit them at all. But they sound similar

I'd love to find a great high resolution video of the whole concert.
Basically a weak combo-organ tone emulator with some effects. Weirdly enough a very decent keyboard for figuring out combo organ parts in songs (for transcribing) without having to sit at a real combo organ for hours, because when you're playing the same chord/notes you'll get a distinct "phasing" sound as most harmonics will match. Preset 678 goes well for transcribing bass guitars. Apart from that, the "muted" tones are quite decent, 070, or 000, etc. If it would be possible to reprogram this in some way, (fix the vibrato speed, and re-balance harmonics to favour the high end more, as the high end sounds whiny), then this would be a knock-out digital combo organ) I don't actually think the above things are impossible to do, just probably very difficult - a shame! What's with the weird random crap played here? Making ambience for a video game or something? "Demos" by people that can't really play are a little pointless.
