I’m glad I found your video ! I been back and fourth between this unit and a presonus HD 2 . And all the videos I watched it just seemed like a sales pitch and I knew sumn was fishy smh I heard bad things about this company and I told myself no companies perfect I had my share of terrible service with focusrite snd Apogee and also good service with Apogee . I think I like this for conversion and that’s it . I think I’m goin to go with the HD 2 . The HD 2 has same headphone output dynamic range as the quadro and close enough conversion dynamic range that you prolly can’t even tell by ear . Anyway . Thanks for the real on this unit ! What a shame though . These interfaces have so much potential ! But they indeed have tricky promo kinda con in a way ! If I had the money it’s Apogee symphony all the way but I don’t have $1500 . I just got a 1073 and a new laptop so I’m not gona spend above $700 . Picking an Audio interface is hard smh I need a loud headphone output and top notch conversion and sumn I can bypass the pres easily !

I just did mine. Great update. Also, @10:28 when installing the update, instead of turning off the unit and pressing the three buttons, you can click the folder icon above the update now button and have the software upload automatically. Great video! Looking forward to future videos on this update.

True, if I walked into any studio that's worth the name, I wouldn't even take out my Compressor pedal. I would expect them to have a studio Compressor.

That's a cool concept! I think since capturing is in its infancy, it can go anywhere. I can totally see it being universal at some point. Also I drink 3 cups of water haha

I had the Pod Express for 2 weeks before it went back. I found it to have a couple of OK clean sounds but the gains and OD pedals were horrid. They seemed to be on or off. Overall I found the tones, cold, fizzy, fuzzy (not in a good way), raspy, no 'body'. I believed all the hype, the conclusion I have come to is, I must have a higher standard of guitar tone? My older MOORE RADAR is at least 500% better sounding.

cool channel mann .... on the lower budget side the color box is great for a re amp tool on any track instead of a 4k channel strip ...im thinking of getting one ...but rn i jus reamp say a hip hop track thats already got great plugins and is mastered good but missing analog feel...i jus re amp it using guitar pedals...(fet boost to EQD eq to MXR M76 Studio Compressor back to interface) and remaster like im in a hollywood studio ..let alone you can do track by track re amping this way ...and get good ass results without spending mad bucks on analog gear ...ill use say amplitude with say ssl plugins etc and do my best mix/master using plugins then re amp it as above and its dope

Cheers for sharing - just wanted to say you can route the internal plugins to your DAW without AFX2DAW by treating them like external hardware

Great video. Workflow is king. Dont think this is anything complicated, it is making sure your equipment doesnt get in the way of your creativity. Basics like having a monitor where you can see everything you need to. I use the simple SSL interfaces, I connect monitor speakers and 2 sets of headphones. These all have their own volume control and that works for me. You know your own needs. Endless equipment isnt the answer! That can give you paralesis.
