I had read that the 2.5 was way over engineered, with the cold cracked rods and pretty beefy internals relative to other small turbo engines, but I never thought it would run so well! Do you think this is only possible on the 2.5 with electric power steering and manual trans?

This makes me want to get a 2.5 rabbit, and when my mk6 gti blows up take all the sporty bits and put it on the boosted rabbit

Yo just watched through the build on your mk5, I have a 2009 mk5 2.5l S 5 speed. Love the little rig especially for a not even 16 year old lol but I was pumped when I happened to stumble across you. Been itching for a video of not just fast cars but my specific car fast. Your Jetta rips and I think I'm gonna make some bad financial decisions after this 😂. You are now my inspiration. I got a mk5 jetta 2005 for 500 bucks. 5 across the board. I'v added bigger wheels. A butterfly valve exhaust straight piped and muffled. Touchscreen with backup cam. And was about to add air suspension, and I was like, " it would be really cool to hear this five cylinder with a turbo" then not even a month ago you posted a video about it, so recently I have been building up my kit, and now you post an update about it that I didn't even know about. Keep it up. You're a role model!

Ik u had to get the manual ecu for the 6 speed swap but is there anything else u needed to get, to swap from auto? Like a guage cluster or a manual engine harness? Anything like that?

if you want to make more power and have a better power curve get an ie intake manifold, the stock intake manifold was specifically designed by vw to make the 2.5l slower than the gti and gli
