Heart Mountain Horseshoe Trail
October 19, 2024:- Quite a spicy hike and scramble both uphill and downhill. Enjoyed both ways. Only complaint is the wind. I knew it will be windy but thought that trees and ribs would give some shelter but no. Still survived. Light pour when I reached the first summit and then to the bigger cairn, but after that it stayed dry. There is some snow dusting after the first peak and until the second cairn but its not that bad. I did not take out my spikes and managed well. Poles surely help. Bring layers as the ridge could get windy at any given time. CCW is the way in my opinion, as I personally don't like the gradual uphill for long distance, I like staircase style scramble uphill. The first blue triangles which you see is a bit tough to scramble up as there are no proper handholds or footholds but after that everywhere the rocks are pretty solid and scramble is pretty fun.

Powderface Creek to Powderface Ridge Hike Zia Tahir Oct 16, 2024
Переглядів 2914 годин тому
Oct 16, 2024 Early morning drizzle put me in "go-no go" and I waited in the trees for about half an hour watching the clouds and then decided to go for it. Standard text book hike. Only concern would be the length. Otherwise nothing technical, no scramble, nothing sketchy, gradual elevation in some sections. Not considerable views until you hit the intersection of Powderface Creek and powderfac...

October 14, 2024 Mount Yamnuska Yup, Yam day. Another trip to the beautiful wall of Bow Valley. Just wanted to do this before it snows again for the season. Also wanted to experience the scree down one more time. I did scree about five years ago and after that even though I went up but came down the west col way, so this time intention was SCREE. Trail to the summit is quite clear upto Raven’s ...
Midnight and Midday Peak via Baldy Pass Zia Tahir Oct 12, 2024

Last year’s winter hike transitioned into a summer like adventure on October 12, with perfect weather and a gentle breeze. The Midnight trail is more manageable in summer, with multiple beaten paths visible, unlike the singular winter trail. Reaching Midnight, Midday Peak beckoned, although it looked steep. The descent from midnight was easy. The col between Midnight and Midday presented risky ...

September 24, 2024 Sometimes, you don't realize what incredible adventures are right under your nose until luck throws you a golden ticket. That's exactly what happened to me. Two months ago, out of nowhere, I was offered a spot on the shuttle to Lake O’Hara for September 24th. I'd heard whispers of its beauty, so I casually agreed. To prep, I watched a few videos and read some reviews about th...

September 22, 2024 Snow Peak via Burstall Pass This hike offers one of the most spectacular views of the valley with surprisingly lesser effort. We set out on a day when the clouds and sun played an exhilarating game of hide and seek, and we were lucky to experience just a refreshing drizzle before reaching back to the parking lot. The adventure begins with an almost flat walk through a lush ju...

September 19, 2024 Mount Chester Summiting a 3000’er is always a thrill, and it’s the icing on the cake when the elevation gain exceeds 1000 meters. Add in over 400 meters of exhilarating scrambling, and you’ve hit the jackpot. I took the day off from work specifically for this hike, my first-ever workday dedicated to such an adventure, and it was absolutely worth every meter and every step, de...

Skydive # 7 Zia Tahir 25 Aug 2024

Soaring through the skies during my recent paragliding adventure and then diving headfirst into the exhilarating rush of my seventh skydive last week was nothing short of breathtaking! The sheer thrill of feeling the wind against my face, the panoramic views stretching endlessly below, and the heart-pounding freedom of being airborne is an experience like no other. Each moment suspended in the ...

I took this trip summer of 2024 as part of four-day road trip from Calgary to Vernon to Spokane to Kalispell and back to Calgary. This video is about the section from Vernon BC to Spokane WA. Its about 450 Km of drive and we enjoyed every bit of it. We chose a scenic drive as someone from TripAdvisor suggested. I would highly recommend if you have time on your hand, choose this route and you wo...

Paragliding is most fascinating activity for me. Staying up in the air for good quality time and flying like a bird and viewing the landscape like a bird is a feeling which can only be felt. I wish if it had been a bit cheaper and closer to my place. Love every moment of it. No doubt my Lord is the best Creator.

August 17, 2024 Cory Pass Trail Hike Another awesome hike. This is the kind of hike which is not technical, no scramble but still burn your muscles to the limits. We completed clockwise and, in my opinion, this is better, but we saw people doing it in the other direction too. Could be a personal preference. Around 1000 meters of elevation gain is quite tough. The trail starts with an easy first...

Lovely film man, this looks and feels great!
Really it's too hard track in both situations I mean up rising and down coming. Allah bless u always.
awesome, great work
so when are you joining??? 😊😊😊😊😊
I would like to join hiking..how can I?
there could be so many ways. Find some local trails using some apps or websites like "alltrails" or similar. Find some hiking groups using social media like facebook or meet up. Get some nice hiking boots, pair of poles, backpack and you are good to go. Fellow hikers will guide you well
brilliant, this scramble is spicy
"spicy" is the right word for it. enjoyable, in the moment and at the same time painful afterwards, lol
I m wondering who is living at the top. Is it hotel or resort or private property?
There are govt officials who keep an eye on forest fires and report any unusual activities. Its a tough job but gives you an opportunity to live close to the nature
Wow! You should become an instructor
hahaha, am good as is for now
is there any scramble involved?
@@Mountainadventure787 correct. From the trailhead to the base of the mountain, there is little scramble (even though we picked up a rough route considering it was short cut but it was not good) but from the base of mountain to summit, there are few scramble sections where you have to be really careful. Hope this helps. I think I said something about those sections in my video as well. Thanks for watching.
@@Ziaurrehmantahir thanks a bunch should i stick to the alltrails map strictly? Is there any sketchy places that can be avoided by following the map
@@Mountainadventure787 yes, alltrails is better. When you start climbing up from the base of the mountain, there is a place where you'd have to find your own comfortable spot as there are different scramble options up there, so be careful in that section. I think it could be around 10:00 time in the video After that section its pretty straight forward with a good trail uphill. Good luck
@@Ziaurrehmantahir thank you veey much for all the details. Really loved the detailed video. Happy hiking!
Great video Zia!! Thanks for sharing. I never drink alcohol but man, this hike got me drunk!! Glad we survived from the storm
as I said what doesn't break you, makes you strong....drink alcohol, you earned it, and do some praying to thank God as well.
If you want to continue on with this please do keep a live conversation going as it will take all those watching on this tour along and also share your feelings while traveling
Thanks for watching, the clips have already been recorded without commentary. I am just putting the pieces together. All I can do, is add my voice over the videos. I will try doing that for other videos. Thanks for the feedback
Nice video. Thanks for sharing. Like 👍3
thanks
I like weather station , I wish they let us stay there for a day
Some staff at these weather stations are very hospitable and well let you stay for sometime and have your lunch on the benches there and soak in the views
I was in a cave in Lillydale Minnesota that had bald rats the size of footballs down one corridor ,, i thought because of the name of the cave that i might see them again in this video , but it was just a name .
There were rats but not football size just tiny little ones here and there only a few. I think it’s just the name
Just a suggestion : ditch the music.
Awesome, 👌
Great video!
awesome,
Beautiful landscape and the view of the Lake was awesome. Thank you for sharing 😊 New friend and Like 2
That has to be a rough hike🙄
Nice😊
Nice video. Very detailed. Thank you
Impressive
How long did it take to hike to mount temple, round trip?
Sorry for the delay Dave, honestly don't use our time as reference. We started around I think 1 PM on one day, reached the summit around sun set, got down in pitch dark till the sentinel pass, stayed there for more than 2 hours waiting for sun rise and then came back to parking lot around 11 AM.
Nice one. Good quality n detailed. Thank yiu
what a small place Zia, so you had hike with Daine in this place. She's tough in hiking too.
I totally agree, she is
Hii can you help me out? So my friends and I wanted to go sledding as well, but the website sucks, it wasn’t clear about the “holidays (dec 24 - jan 6 / feb 20) 10:00 a.m, 12:30pm, 3:00 pm.” So im stuck if i need to go at a certain time or? Because im planning on going today at 2:00pm and im not sure if we can walk in or not… the website doesn’t clear up things….💔
when I tried booking for today (at 8:58 AM) on the website, it showed that it only has one opening slot for the time 10-12:00, which would mean that all the other time slots are pre-booked. But you can always give them a call to confirm. They are nice people and can guide you over the phone. (403-247-5452). I am not one of the officials unfortunately.
@@Ziaurrehmantahir are you able to give me the link where you booked the sledding? I looked everywhere in the website and haven’t seen anything that can be used to book tickets

Fantastically captured surroundings, impressive trail too my friend. Great winter scenery!
Great! This look fun
and it actually was ............
I will wait for that “one day” 😊😊😊😊😊
One day I will rejoin you again
Nice video! I did it the day before. I need to upgrade my GoPro. Mine is still a 6 I think. Amazing how the smoke is even worse one day later.
Thanks Harlan, I watch your videos quite often and find these quite educational and well guided. Always help. Wish if I could ever hike with you, but then I think you are too good for me. I am a turtle and you are tier 1 hiker lol. Thanks once again and keep making your awesome videos. No Matter hero 6 or 7 or 10, you are great
@@Ziaurrehmantahir ... Well I struggle just as much as others. I just do it a little more and that maybe helps. Thanks for your kind words. I will likely get a new Gopro next year. Cheers and happy hiking!
Love the scenery. Thanks for sharing. New subscriber here.
thanks man, this video did not turn out to be good from quality but there was something wrong with the setting which I figured out later

How far is the point @330 from parking lot
Wonderful footage of Mt Lipsett Zia!! I like the time lapse part in the summit, too!
Great Camera work
Sure. No doubt
How much time and distance ( KM & elevation ) for first lake.
around 13.8 km and 900 m of elevation gain upto the first lake and back. here is the ink from alltrails www.alltrails.com/explore/trail/canada/alberta/bourgeau-lake-trail
how much is total distance covered. Give some info about the building.
The distance to the glacier from the parking lot is about 8.5 km. The building is called bow huts. I think it is owned and operated by alpine club of Canada and apparently it cost around 400 dollars per night when it is operational
