Today we convert my 2000 Toyota Corolla from rear drum brakes to disc brakes. AE112
honestly good video, doing a big brake upgrade to the front and have a rear disc conversion already was wondering with the extra stopping power upfront if the rear drum prop valve thats installed in the vehicle will need the rear disc version i have laying around time will tell..
From which car did you get the rear disc assembly
Hey mate, love the rolla, would love a video on what seats you have installed on the ae112r, looking to do a conversion on my seats aswell. cheers.
Could you list any parts used in the conversion. I what to keep the 4 stud set up.
Would the disc brake parts you Got from the ae112 levin work for a e111 hatchback?
I own a 2001 Toyota Corolla S 1.8l and I wanted to convert my rear drums to disc brake. Where can I find a conversion kit at?
no conversion kit my guy, you need to get the parts from they same year model corolla that came with rear disc brakes
@@spinksy9 Thanks for the update brother.
@@spinksy9literally cant look that up, all parts houses only offer drum
Bro help me out here. I just did this conversion to an AE101. We bled the crap out of it and the pedal is still soft. The part number for the proportioning valve is the same so I've been reading online that that's not the issue. Apparently I'm supposed to be using a master cylinder with a 7/8 bore instead of the 13/16 my disc/drum combo came with? is that right? If so what's the part number on that?
Hi mate changing to the larger 7/8 master cylinder would make sense. Sorry I’m not sure what the part number would be, but try and find an ae101 at the wreckers that came with rear disc brakes and take the master cylinder and wouldn’t hurt to take the booster too.
@@spinksy9 Thanks man. I'm swapping a booster and master assembly from a corona. It's gonna go on tomorrow morning. I'll leave a little update on how it goes if anyone else is digging through threads looking for answers.
good video my friend, my question would be if it works the same way in the sedan version of the corolla ae112? thanks for the video brother
Where did your conversation peices come off of. Very good video. Thanks
Please refer to the other 3 comments that I have already responded to asking this exact question. It is also in the video
What car exactly you got the parts from?
2000 Toyota Corolla AE112 Levin
@@spinksy9any where did you get it from, cant find that.
You done the good conversions. I was doing the same until I just picked up a cheap full trim ultima
5hole disc brakes
Can that disc brakes work on the Toyota Carina 1995
Not sure sorry
How can I get a pair of the rear disc brakes
Ho can I get a set to buy and the price
Which car disc brake set worked best for your AE112?
Ae112 levin rear discs brakes
@@spinksy9 Which vehicle rear dish set was transferred to your vehicle? What kind of car is that?
What did you pull off the set from.
AE112 levin
What seat rails did you use to fit your front seats
They originally came out of an early evo I believe. They are bride rails but tabs modified to suit corolla. They didn’t slide well at all and were very heavy. I’ve since removed them. You could use bride ae111 rails though, same as ae112
Just curious, which country are you from? I noticed the driver side on the right side.
Australia
Amazing tutorial, I going to do that brake swap using your video!!
Good stuff Spinksrat, you can do it all. Hope you're doing well
