My name is Asha. I am based in Canada. I am originally from God's own Country - Kerala (Trivandrum).
I completed my M.Com degree from Trivandrum and moved to Middle East after getting married to accompany my hubby. In 2000, my husband and I decided to move to Canada. For the last 20 years we have been living in Canada. We have enjoyed all these years with lots of good friends and families. All about Millets | How to make Millet Porridge? (Millet kanji)

Millet is a gluten-free grain that’s rich in antioxidants, soluble fiber, and protein. In particular, it may regulate blood sugar levels and cholesterol.
This video is a short discussion cum question and answer session with my father about millets. My father been using millets as part of his daily diet for a long time. He has studied about millets and personally experienced changes in his diabetic condition after switching to millets for his daily diet. In this video, I have also demonstrated on how to make the porridge the healthy way after taking tips from my father. I have used the Little Millet (Chama rice) to make the porridge, which is considered very good for people with several health condition, especially Diabetics and High Cholesterol related issues.
Positive Millets are the most effective millets.
Types of Positive Millets ( Fiber content : 8 - 12.5%)
1. Foxtail Millet (Thina in Malayalam)
2. Kodo Millet (Koovaragu in Malayalam)
3. Barnyard Millet (Kavadapullu in Malayalam)
4. Little Millet (Chama in Malayalam)
5. Browntop Millet (Not known)

Yes. For diabetic patients, no need to add rice or avil. Otherwise it’s ok.
How many days can we keep the cake outside?
If the fruits are soaked in alcohol, then we can keep it outside for weeks. Otherwise keep it in the fridge or freezer.
If we make in small portions then also baking time is same?
Baking time may vary depends on quantity. Try setting the timer to 35-40 minutes. Insert a skewer in the middle of the cake to check it’s done or not.if it’s seems not done , then add 10 more minutes.

Yes you can store as powder so that you can make puttu. Only Ione thing to remember is to wash and soak millet 6/8 hrs before grinding . Once soaked then drain water and dry roast before grinding.
