How did you get the Victorian ornaments to have the matte gold faded/patched background, that wasn’t hand brushed on the higher design portion? I know they were spray painted white matte at first but I can’t find the step on how to get the whole bulb to be the patchy gold color on the white portion. Any suggestions?

Hi! I love the mercury glass and velvet! And I’m definitely going to try all of them! I have made ornaments with coffee-stained cloth strips, sweater ornaments from thrifted sweaters and yarn ornaments!!

All of these are beautiful and have inspired me to try the amber glass and velvet...

Beautiful!! I saw a video short the other day of this woman. Crafting a Christmas decoration. May want to sit down fir this tip fact: she made rubb n buff from shoe Polish and mica a powder also known as eye shadow and it worked absolute same was result as real rub n buff! I was so surprised I almost fell out of my chair. When I saw her mux those 2 ingredients as being a rub n buff at home recipe. I could not believe it, I cannot wait to go and get some eyeshadow from Dollar Tree and make a Christmas series of colors to use. Even shoe polish usually has ingredients to protect against outdoor weather as well! Just thought I would share that DIY recipe for Rubb n buff if you don't have it.
