There are a lot of good videos on docking on UA-cam. Have a look around for the terms. Docking sailboat, med mooring sailboat, mooring sailboat etc.

@@Boatlifeisbest Pattya is de moeite waard en Salvador Bahia, daar in de vuurtoren c.q. museum vindt je nog tekenen van de Nederlanders, dat fort is gebouwd ter bescherming voor de Nederlanders. Enfin het is allemaal de moeite waard, ik woon nu in Guadeloupe vanwege het zeilen in de Caraïbe. Salut de Gwada.

They must have been blown from the African continent by some heavier winds. But yeah it was weird to have all these bugs suddenly on the boat while being over 200km away from land.

Just a rope around my body wouldn’t be my first choice 😅 but a good lanyard clipped to a lifejacket with harness and jacklines centred on the boat is what I’m using.

I’m using starlink for my internet connection. For emergencies I have an epirb, plb and mob ais.

The hydrovane also steers while sleeping. It follows a certain course to the wind. So when the windshifts the boat will change course as well.

@@Boatlifeisbest I see, so that means better not to use it while sleeping because you can't monitor the wind shifting right?

When out on the ocean it is fine, there is enough space to wander course a bit. But when sailing along a coast or busy areas and you know the wind is going to be shifting better to use the electronic autopilot.

Luckily I don’t get seasick at all, never been in my life. Probably why this life suits me well haha. I’ve had lots of crew onboard who do.
