Hardest boss ever?

Not really into fighting/Boxing games but this game is goated and the story mode is great. It’s easy to learn and I’d highly recommend it for anyone. Played it on Gamepass, its also backwards compatible on new Xbox consoles.

Souls fans are the Juggalos of gaming lmao
Gotta say I’m right there with Cowboy on this one. Have fun however the hell you want. You spent the money on the game, why would you stress over how other people think you ought to play it?
It's all ableism.
3:36 he knows about the USB steering wheel technique!
Reminds of of the chess community, and how some of the higher skilled players were vehemently against and furious that a Grandmaster was teaching ordinary people how to recognize patterns and their counters through streaming. They all acted like chess was a "dignified" game where only the most intellectual and refined people were allowed to climb to the top. They were furious that their little niche was being made more readily accessible to the wider masses; it was slowly making them not as special as they'd have liked
cowboy is a real life solaire
Yeah, he has the parasite on his head too.
@ not in my playtrough he didn’t
Whatever anyone says, summoning on your first playthrough doesn't count as beating the game
Gatekeeping is necessary, otherwise you get Veilguard
Bro even Miyazaki himself is bad at HIS OWN game yet he still ENCOURAGES PLAYER TO USE ALL THE TOOLS THEY HAVE AT THEIR DISPOSAL to make the game easier.
Imagine thinking level 1 no weapons and armor without stuffing your shirt with spider eggs that will hatch in 2 hours makes you good at the game.
What's wrong about calling certain builds as easy mode? They actually are, and there's no shame in playing games in easy mode. Why let the term 'easy mode' offend you in the first place.
lmao so bitter l2p
Naw if you used summons you didn't really beat nothing 😂
I like mage builds and thing the sorceries are the beat thing in this game and don't give a f..k what others think.
"Didn't do it blindfolded? Pft, easy mode. What, you BREATHED as you beat the game? Nah you didn't b e a t the game."
the problem is with the game itself. the game itself is balanced around cheese, so most people can bulldoze the entire thing by spamming an ash of war, magic, jump attacks, etc. most people never learn the basics/mechanics of the game. If you've played some number of invasions you realize that this is the case because they do they do the same thing against real people(invaders) & get their shit pushed in because their L2 spam isn't working on someone who actually took a little time to learn the fundamentals. so yes you did beat the game with (insert whatever strat you used here) but beating the game itself is a very low bar to overcome. Another thing that points to this fact is the perceived difficulty by the community of this game when it was first released, when people only had access to basic equipment. whereas now all of the cheese is well known & any dork can L2 their way to elden lord.
To play this game means to overcome the game. And nothing else matters for that reason alone. No matter how you achieve it. If I cared more about playing against other humans, I'd pick up a fighting game. Not a Dark Souls title.
Deadass, I WISH mages were easy mode.
Every skilled player can make a build work-that’s true. But not every beginner can. Noobs can pick up something simpler, and if you don’t see that, you’re just being ignorant, salty, or maybe not as good a player as you think. At the end of the day, who cares? Let people play how they want; it doesn’t really matter.
Exactly bro, it’s like driving an automatic or manual vehicle, at the end of the day you drive but one clearly has a bigger learning curve than the other and is more simple
@@danielnava1210🫡
@@danielnava1210 You guys never stop wanking. Who cares about manual vs automatic? The thing gets you from point A to point B? Good. And neither exist noobs in video games, except people that just started to play video games. And you were once noobs too. Great.
This is why I'm still on this god-forsaken Comment Section, I get Diamonds like yourself. Your Profile has AI-Generated Slop, and for what? To promote some shady membership on Skool? Even on Skool, one of your Mutual uses AI for making money and on UA-cam, making "Faceless Content". I find it peculiar you got involved with FightinCowboy by commenting here and supporting his fake narrative, but I know full well how it came to be.
Bro really gets upset and people just being people. Bill got trolled hard here.
Im actually more used to the reverse happening unfortunately stopped talking to this person who basically viewed you as a loser if you didnt min/max and have a really easy time with the game.
So I'd like to say your opinion is trash, because playing as mages on a Souls game is easy mode. You're the one getting butt hurt about hearing people tell the truth. You can play however you want, that's fine, but you're going to have to deal with it that you're just playing easy mode. The reason why they didn't add easy mode is because there's already an easy mode. I myself think Bloodborne is the easiest game in the series by far, but some people don't, because you can't use magic. Those people tend to cry about how it's the worst because no magic. Bloodborne while being the easiest game has no easy mode. It has no magic. Now, magic use in pvp on the other hand is going to get you rekt as human players don't have the limitations of AI, but against AI that will just follow you by quickest route, won't spend time dodging magic and will just be a standing target for you to cast spells at while you're safely at a distance, that's a lot easier than melee damage. Finding and using the most cost efficient magic will make your magic pool go a long long way, having magic for large aoe if necessary, etc. It is a literal fact that playing through the main game with magic use on any game is easier. So two years late, I am calling you out on your trash opinion. Why do you think Sword of Renais was one of the most popular weapons, evade and wreck bosses from the safety of a distance while they're still in or recovering from attack animations; destroy multiple enemies with a powerful straight or aoe attack. Obviously those people are hypocrites, as they also played the game on an easy mode by using one of a few of the most broken weapons in the game for pve, but still. Magic use allows you to do this same spell and more, very easy mode of play.
I tried pretty much every builds on elden ring and both bleed and strength were easier than int
None of the games in the genre are even hard when compared to arcade games and so many other action games. Playing Dark Souls at all is easy mode. Everything is so slow and requires low manual dexterity and reaction speed compared to so many other action games.
this guy suffers from internalized feminism.
Plane and simple, it’s skill. But I did complete all “souls games” demons souls, DS I, DS II, DS III and Elden ring naked, fist only, no healing, no rolling, no sprinting, no summons, no consumables …. And I used only my cock (no hands) with the controller.
A lot of words to say you are bad
"epic" rant lol
Well. Just like doms roundtable. These guys should not shpw thier faces. Just ruins my voice created preconception of what my brain created. Shattered. Now the voice is ruined as well. Thanks.
I don't know why youtube recommended me this, but here's my two cents; I hate the elitists, but you're just as toxic as they are. All this name calling? And just to be factually wrong. I have made 13+ charecters of all build varity, and yes, inteligence builds are, in fact, the second easiest. Not as easy as strength builds with fingerprint greatshield, but way easier than bleed. Now, there are some enemies that are harder for mages/ranged users because of input-reading-like reaction, such as those black lions and Malenia, to name the most well known. But mobs are EASILY cleared with all of the AOEs and ranged spells of mages. Mages clear the area quickly and effortlessly. I run the game with taunter's tongue active, and I am not very good at PVP but I have never been beaten by an invader on my pure int or dex/int builds. There's just so much variety of long ranged, hard hitting spells that it DOES in fact, make fighting much easier. You'd have to be stupid to think that fighting at range doesn't put you at a HUGE advantage against a melee opponent. I get spanked by invaders all the time, on all my builds, except intelligence. Now, this might not be apparent to you, seeing as you are playing the worst class in the game. Prisoner is way better than the stupid ASStrologer, because in early game, vigor is the most OP stat, and the one you should be investing in. Ergo, you will have no mind. No mind = no spell spam. Starting as an Astrologer is BRUTAL. You don't have enough mind to spam, don't have enough vigor to take a hit, don't have enough endurance for decent armor, etc. Anyone starting as an Astrologer will find the game MORE difficult than any other starting class. Bit this is only true at LOW levels. Once you get decent mind, and high enough inteligence for star shower, comet, zamor icestorm, adula's moonblade, etc... the game becomes quite easy. With the right spell mix-ups, and the good ol' Moonveil, I am unstoppable in PVP. And I am shredding DLC bosses from range. Bleed builds have to get close to the bosses, and these DLC bosses hit like a Kryptonian. If you're not good at dodging, bleed weapons will get you killed. I just chill in the back, let the Host and other summon take the aggro as I carelessly nuke the boss. EZ GG No RE TLDR; just because an intelligence build is harder to use at low levels, doesn't mean it isn't OP. It objectively is more powerful than almost all other builds. Most OP builds: 1st. Pure STR Fingerprint shield and Swordlance. 2nd. Max softcap INT with max cast speed. 3rd. Max softcap ARC bleed build with poison for DOT.
Souls games are puzzles, these puzzles have more than one solution. Each solution has varying levels of difficulty. Finding an easier solution doesn't make you worse than others.
let me play devils advocate my friend played through ds3 and bloodborne multiple times with average melee builds and he considers them two of his favourite games of all time. recently he played ds1 for the first time and decided to use the black knight weapons after hearing how good they were. we killed O&S in roughly 60 seconds and he was utterly disappointed with his experience with the game and dropped it shortly after. I'm not trying to gatekeep or be an elitist. I love this series and think everyone should try it, but having seen how removing the challenge strips away such a significant part of the experience, I cant help but think people are doing themselves a disservice by using the "easy mode" builds. obviously everyone has a different skill level but I think everyone should try to challenge themselves or the whole point of the series becomes wasted.
That is, unironically, the smartest comment on here yet. You're 100% correct. Me too, I've enjoyed these games best when I just "winged it", going at my own pace. In fact, I will never forget this experience; DS2's Smelter Demon in the Iron Keep kept demolishing me, to the point that he taught me how to Roll correctly, but I still needed a bit more of an edge, so I looked into my Inventory, and found out I have the Gyrm Greatshield, which completely nullifies Fire Damage. Then, I was able to crush him with a very sizeable amount of health left. Just this one fight means a lot to me, in fact it's my favorite fight in all the Souls I've played so far, it rewarded me being resourceful with what I have, and it gave me the proper timing for Rolls too. When all these people care about are big numbers, instead of something that simply works for them or let alone experimenting with things, it just strips away a lot of the magic the games have. Your comment was a very good read.
@Neon_Henchman I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way 😊
Exactly this I know I'm late to this but me and my friends still approach the game like this because it's more enjoyable for us. I think it's ironic because you are easily labeled as an elitist if you voice this opinion and it seems the toxicity towards these elitists is just as bad if not worse at times.
@@seide2829 yeah I don't know when this happened but everywhere I look, voicing concern on someone else's behalf is viewed as being a prick. what most people mean by "you shouldn't use this build because its too easy" is "if you do this, you will damage your own first experience with the game". its too bad we live in an age where people are so defensive that giving someone a piece of genuine good intended advice, is seen as a personal attack on their existence.
@@seide2829 It really doesn't help they act this way, as; Why do the "Elitists" act toxic to begin with? Well maybe the animosity stems from somewhere else, hate just brews more hate. Besides, they cannot explain what their "Easy Mode" would entail, you know how they keep advocating for it while using their "parental responsibilities" as an excuse, among others? Well I asked them how they would make Anor Londo easier, by adding not only it seldomly uses enemies, so removing people would make the area empty, but even with damage reduction, it doesn't prevent the infamous Silver Knight Archer to push you off the edge, you'd still die as many times to the void. They have yet to give me good arguments on my points on why Dark Souls CAN'T have an Easy Mode, I didn't say "shouldn't".
Strength builds are easier, trading and tanking hits is easier than timing perfect dodges for the entire duration of a 25 hit combo from a boss lol
What an unbelievably bullshit toxic ass community the souls community is. A mage is easy mode? A mage build is one of the most difficult builds there is. Because when you become a mage throughout your journey, you are always ALWAYS three, possibly four huge hits away from death. You're not a damage sponge like you are in a strength build. You're more like a wet flannel
You’re focusing too much on the mage vs strength argument. Hes saying people should let people play how they want which I agree. But I disagree that there’s no such thing as an easy mode when there clearly is
Summons allow the player to not have to engage with the boss's moveset. That is undeniable. Let's just say that the people who follow FightingCowboys guides, guides that go against the fundamentals of an exploration game, probably are the ones who summon the most. So of course he has to defend his audience. And as always these people have to say the classic "unless you beat the game fists only sl1 you are cheating", that is not even comparable. The reason there is such a stigma behind summoning is not because everyone wants to gatekeep, it is because there is a reward to beating a boss, no LEARNING a boss, that summoning (or any other form of circumventing the bosses moveset) completely negates, and by doing so, you are cheating yourself out of a fantastic experience. Also serious why the fuck do people watch this guys guides for a game heavily centred around exploration? I will never understand.
Melee people tend to forget mages have no defense they are usually one shot killed.
I joined Dark Souls with 3 in around 2019, 2020 or so. My end builds have always been High Vigor/Vitality Heavy armor Strength builds. I love these games, a lot, Dark Souls II being my favourite. I joined the souls community right before the "You arent playing the game correctly" purge that Elden Ring brought. Sure, it was there beforehand, but not nearly as bad. My first and only response to the people who regurgitate this garbage is that if its in the game, and you want to use it, use it. These games are in my mind, action puzzle games. Each boss and area is a puzzle, and with enough time they can be overcome, it is sinply choosing the answer that is easiest or the most fun for you to do, sometimes challenging yourself. Using the tools in game to beat the game is not "Playing the Game Wrong." as these people claim, its playing the game in your own way. Pay no mind to anyone who says anything about playing the game wrong, they don't like the fact that these are fun and challenging games that encourage you to solve their "puzzles" with the tools they give you, they like the fact that the games are seen as hard, and want to stroke their egos by telling themselves and others that they're playing the "Right" way.
Fuck him. Gatekeeping is good
Nah, you're not allowed to say gatekeeping is good if you've never gatekeeped like someone as cool as me has.
Dude i like that you get people to play the games but no you're wrong using is eliminating 50% of bosses movement because it draws the attention it's not the same 1v1 i will not say that you're bad but people who think they finished those games by using summons they aren't experienced then correctly in my opinion
Magic is definitely easy braindead mode (main game not dlc). That's not an opinion that's a fact. You just use mimic tear and stand still for 10 seconds and boss is dead.
You're just admitting that the game is poorly designed.
@micshazam842 yes, ash system seems like it was put in as a last choice because they thought the game wouldn't hit good enough numbers if it was like their previous games. It literally helps you avoid mechanics and boss patterns.
@@jovan9989 I don't disagree as such. I don't know why they did it, but I think it's sort of an uninteresting way to make the game more approachable. All the ashes do is make the boss AI forget the player exists. I think they could have done something better.
@@micshazam842yeah, 2 things can be right
my man
If summons weren't supposed to be used fromsoft would take them out
Elden Ring enemies didn't play fair, so neither did I.
Its funny how people consider mages easy mode. I’m doing a mage build on NG+ 3 after a respecc and bosses like Morgott/Hoaroaxh Loux and DLC bossess etc spank my shit when I try to get a spell going. Mages without summons using timing and spacing to cast a spell that can actually take a chunk of boss health is a struggle in itself. Oddly enough the easiest playthrough I had was the unga bunga stagger strength build because I could tank damage, get staggers etc.
People told me flails were trash. Tell that to my chainlink flail build named floppy Sticks, made it to the dlc and now I'm getting my ass kicked
oh you used torrent? a summon? to run around the map? hah !! noob
The irony is that people who can actually beat the game naked at rl1 don’t even give a fuck about other players 😂
souls elitists are the equivalent of the taylor swift stans of the gaming community
Maybe its a playstyle thing, but from my experience, melee in elden ring is piss easy compared to magic. With a couple exceptions. I say this not to diss anyone because I play mostly melee faith builds anyway, but the (unironic) mindset of "strength = gigachad, magic = easy mode wimp" expired past dark souls 1. Yes, the very first game, because magic was indeed OP in it. ALL the games past that, magic isnt as op except maybe earlier patches of dark souls 2. This toxic way of gatekeeping people out of an entire playstyle by telling them theyre playing tutorial difficulty should have been buried after Dark Souls 1 and Demon Souls.
Most people who are like this should be not only banned for life but also should not have the privilege of ever playing any Games again
He talked like true souls community member.
I agree to some extent. It's obviously stupid to shame people for playing the game in a certain way that you regard as inferior somehow. As long as people have fun playing the game, who the hell cares? However, i do think there are certain things that DO make the game too easy and less fun. While i wouldn't shame anyone for using those things, i would at least advise against it. The biggest gripe i have is not even any particular build or weapon or summons but people looking up EVERYTHING on their first playthrough. It's one thing to discover a powerful build on your own through experimentation and exploration. It's a totally different thing to look up the most overpowered shit right from the get go, strats to deal with every enemy, the best farming spots, how to get everywhere and get everything, how to progress questlines and whatever else. THAT, imo actually kills a lot of the enjoyment. Not even necessarily because it made the game too easy, but because you play a game that thrives on not holding your hand and letting you explore the unknown, and you go out of your way to be handholded through the entire game anyway. So yeah, i don't really care how anyone plays the game, but do yourselves a favor and make your first playthrough as blind as possible.
It baffles me this idea that summoning somehow isn't playing the game properly. From Demon's Souls to Elden Ring, FromSoft has built these games as communal experiences and summoning is an integral part of them - both for gameplay and narrative. There's a better argument that you're not playing the games properly if you DON'T summon. Plus, some boss fights are even harder with summons!
Real summons dont count and the older games were easy. The straight up elitism is a problem but fromsoft legit made so much too hard that summons is damn near required now.
If FS didn't want you to use magic, summons or buffs, they wouldn't put them in the game. Simple as that.
