Lots of colourful sponges, ascidians and anenomes. Decorator crabs, Dendrodoris citrina and Doris wellingtonensis nudibranch, plus a lot of tiny 2 to 6mm juvenile Paradoris dubia nudibranch. (They are the tiny white things you can see on the dark blue sponge.)

Great shallow club dive for relaxing while taking macro and microscopic photos of the wide variety of sea life. Bright sponges, ascidians, kelp, hydroids, mollusks and anenome which provide refuge and food for nudibranch, crabs, fish, seahorses, octopus and a lot more. Temperature was 8 degrees on this dive.

Went out in the wind near ponds to look for frogs and heard plenty of Litoria ewingii calling but couldn't find them, they were well hidden and went quiet if I got too close. No sign of spawning yet on grass or near water and no tadpoles yet. Went out as sun was going down at 7pm and hear one or two by 7:30pm there was a whole chorus in the dark.

Great relaxing dive with Haylee. Highlights were the Moon jellys, Epiactus anenomes, Cadlina willani nudibranch and the whale bone.

Dive Charter with New Zealand Diving at Hen island. Dive sites were The Wizards Hat and Corner Reef our with their team Izzy, Isa and Sigi and owner Neil. Lots of different Rays and Moray eels.

The Plateau and the White wall dive sites. Manta rays, pilot whales, dolphins, petrels and shearwaters seen on the surface as well a big 2.5 metre hammerhead.

This is a clinid species and is found in New South Wales, Australia and Northern New Zealand. It's main threat is kelp die off due to kina overpopulation, as they need the kelp to survive in. Over fishing of species that prey on kina, like snapper, is the usually the reason for kina barrens appearing in areas. Viewed from hill above Harringtons Point, Dunedin harbour entrance. the dolphin carried on into the harbour staying near the shore. Approx. 1.5 m long.
