Greatest tutorial. Thank you.
You never reuse tty head bolts.
Does it matter what direction to orient the filter at 11:39? There is a little grey thing in the 10 o'clock position. Does ot matter which way to rotate it?
I have had no issues with my brakes (squealing, warping) when i just slapped on new brake pads on my existing rotors (Brembo) and i didn't even bed them. It's almost 60,000 kms since i did this job on a Toyota RAV4 and no issues whatsoever.
To the point vary nice!
Thanks! Great video for the hearing impaired!
Thanks so much! I didn't know it could be opened with a buggered screw. TIP: put the key in a vise, then after prying it open with a utility knife, removing the fob takes just a few seconds by hand. No need to heat it and no additional tools needed. I just replaced the batteries on two of mine this way. Less chance of breaking the plastic, too.
I have air being sucked in at the half moon shape on the cover. I replaced the diaphragm it’s an aftermarket. I used my same cover. It’s pushed on correctly. Also got a P0710 code and misfire on cylinder 4 that won’t go away. New plugs, new coils and twice added injection cleaner. Need help.
I have 2013 Mini Cooper S Countryman N18 R60
What about if the plastic nut is stuck?
I am so confused right now

Brake booster hose also works
I tried replacing a Ford Mustang 2014 fuel pump control module with a new one, and it didn't work. Does it need to be reprogrammed?
My Grease port( Zurk) is on the barrel Hing on my 12’ wrought iron gate(10 years old). It is stock. How do you pull it out?
Thank you !!!
Thank you ! Nice explanation.
Thanks appreciate the info
Thank you very much for this video. I have a Rover 620ti and I have precisely refurbished the rear brakes because the handbrake wasn't stopping the car anymore. Although I had already retracted the piston, I was puzzled whether I was doing the right thing or not because I was not going to change the pads I was just refurbishing the caliper itself.
Thanks!
DO NOT , DO NOT , hit the cups against other cups . The surfaces are very hard and will Chip and Splinter . ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GLASSES ! Also a hammer should not be used to directly strike a cup . Punches are of a softer steel composition .
Thank you for an excellent review, I'm getting ready to purchase a pair of redback boots
I got a problem with my K20a I-Vtec engine. It keeps throwing the engine light. I am confident enough to see through an inspection and this really REALLY helped me for my starting points!!!! Thanks 🙌🙌
That big bolt could be reused for a thousand years. Don't believe the hype.
Wrong... It's torque to yield it's stretched and you do not reuse them. At least not for torquing down a head.
Please what brand car seat is this?
I'd love to know too!
I’m learning this as I go at work. But your videos are a good refresher. I wired one of these for low voltage last week and one motor for high voltage today.
ese repuesto no es original, volverás a tener el problema en un año. Son repuestos chinos.
Yep unbelievable this another good video
Brilliant! Well done. Thank you!
Smoke test it or you are GUESSING
What was the disgnostic to chsnge de fuel pump module ?
Their good boots but not worth resoling. The labor would be as much as a new pair
Super disappointed you didn't take apart the anvil and show how I goes together
Hey Wayne, that was very informative but I do have a question, can you by any chance refer me to images of partially bedded rotors? I'm new to the bedding process and want to ensure they've been bedded completely and not just partially
Now that's how you deliver an instructional video Sir! Only I still have not quite come to understand how to face the seal. I am loading a utility trailer Bearing set with a very cheap looking seal with no outer rubber to meet the inner circumference of the hub. Making it appear incomplete. Unless of course that rubber outer seal portion is supposed to be purchased separately. I honestly do not how which part of the seal goes on first nor why there's no rubber outside, but only where the seal meets the axle. Care to shed some light on the subject Sir?
Thank you for your kind words. The seal in the video is of a special application. If I remember correctly it’s from an off-road towing tractor. Majority of the hub seal would not have that outer rubber seal
@waynesgarage8579 thanks for your reply sir! Yet, my confusion remains whether I should mount the the overt side of the seal against the bearing (which seems to sit loosely against the bearing) or the covert side which seems to fit snugly against the bearing (in a groove of the bearings inner race)? The kit comes with no instruction on which end to insert first. I’m Leary because I’m camping in the woods and don’t want to insert it backwards and destroy the bearing on the way home and end up destroying the entire process. Any ideas on that issue sir! Thanks for your help indeed!
I’ll use the following link as an example: www.amazon.com/iBroPrat-Trailer-Spindles-Replace-171255TB/dp/B0BRZPG58K/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?adgrpid=159614312533&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.qhc_M92uBlBH_v1NhInVF01Zt1EkacYJCoSykW2K9gZVxH9guAX-gokJUFUbgMm3nq-D4TngflaG1qMlGMrr_9vlyKb0dCjziaH9DusmZr9gHp99cNTsT829d-R1ffe7vUfO70RDpophJW3P9SfyaLTpIfj-Q6WAhmXJl-zIHeLRp4CAbpVghPFV6iOYzl4KfTeqN12dLrkYqjVPAn0G4A.0ibVqGVkuM_VguRBr3wlGEZMZUu8Ly7zoqkvcpPn1zo&dib_tag=se&gad_source=1&hvadid=693143806078&hvdev=m&hvexpln=68&hvlocphy=9031947&hvnetw=g&hvocijid=9273847822203725536--&hvqmt=b&hvrand=9273847822203725536&hvtargid=kwd-11795729715&hydadcr=19198_13388055&keywords=trailer+bearings+and+seals&qid=1723385758&sr=8-5 The bearing seal should have a spring visible. That spring’s job is to keep tension on the seal lip that’s riding on the rear seat of the spindle. So on the last photo of that link shows how the seal should look when it’s installed on the wheel hub. In other words, the spring should be facing the grease side when installed. The inner bearing (larger one) will be trapped in the hub loosely after the seal is installed. When you tighten the castle nut in the end is when everything gets lined up. Hope this helps.
@waynesgarage8579 thank you Mr Wayne! As this serves my interest, I will certainly shout out your channel in my next episode of SIG! @SummerIsGolden23 Thank you so very much for your time and attention Sir! Have a wonderful day!
@@waynesgarage8579 Wow Mr. Wayne , I feel so silly! Had I been paying close attention during your original video, I would have saw how you pulled the seal out, and would not have needed to ask any further questions! I'm sorry you're not close by, I could use a good mechanic! Thanks again!
I replaced my front rotors and pads and had rubbing/squeaking noises coming from both sides on the front. I did the "bedding" of the brakes but it still does it. Ive put over 100 miles on them so far. Not sure what to do next?
Not all ceramic pads are made equal, as with rotors. I've had warping after just a few months, turns out i had cheap rotors. sometimes you also get a bad batch of pads, if you purchased a complete kit you might be able to get some replacmens.
Sinning it with the cube but it won’t retract…
This was helpful. What is the music that is playing? I like that too.
My caliper piston keeps on spinning. Does it ever stop? Or does it just need to be flush with the caliper?
How many times do you need to do the break in cycles to get a proper seating?
Thank you!! You are the best!! ♥
Thanks you so much thanks to this video my husband was able to fixed his impact and now he doesn't need to buy another one definitely I would recommend this video to anyone that needs help with their impact.
Delet this
Thanks, really helpful!
Man, you're a life saver! I couldn't find my mixer bit. This did the trick, and i dont have to wash it.
Hi, maybe you can help me, I was replacing the pads/rotor on my 2017 crv ex 4wd and when Im trying to press the piston back in , the piston itself went all the way out, I meat off thr booth, any idea how could I fix it? Thanks
I recently did my own brakes on my own F150 03' same method except without that bearing grease tool. I wish I had that greaser bearing tool it would have made it easier for me. That's a cool tool to have.
How do you do the bedding?
Thanks pal! Thought I had it wrong but it was just inexperience
