Unfortunately, it reeks of nearly every other 'tactical shooter' out there at the moment. OoTB/clunky UE anims, poorly implemented lighting, awful auto-gen, and where nearly everything is a purchased asset. I spotted all of the 3DMA assets almost immediately as well of those within the marketplace itself. These should all be red-flags these days when it comes to stuff like this as it illustrates the amateurish nature of the project. But no, people keep falling for it, shelling out their cash, and then get all bent out of shape when said project or projects enter EA and updates never materialize because they oversold and under-delivered. I'd be wary if I were you.

“Real-world special operations units” is what gets me more excited than Karmakut being involved in this. Too many games these days don’t have enough or any at all military advisors in game development. For sure gonna keep my eyes on this one 👀🫡

I'm making a tactical shooter, but it won't be like "This" or "Arma." It's more based on "The Thing." You are a special forces group sent to the Arctic to find out what happened, and it's during the Cold War. You will infiltrate outposts, assassinate targets that could also shapeshift and attack anyone, and you'll have firefights with Spetsnaz. It will also be a three-way war, which means shapeshifters attack them, attack us, they attack us, and we attack them. It's gonna be fun, and it's during a full-on blizzard. You're the 10th Mountain Division Rangers. The blizzard will be your best friend. You will also climb a mountain to get to a Russian air base at the top. I have a team of three, and we're working hard. I create all my stuff from scratch, clothing and all. I'm still learning weapons because I don't want to buy weapons, and trust me, man, they're a pain to build. My animations are also real-life motion captures, and the only bought assets we are using are an Arctic map and the TPS Kit v2.1. But I'm completely redoing TPS and making it my own, adding my own footsteps, my own on-death voices, radio comms, voices of Russians and team members, etc. I'm completely rebuilding the TPS to make it my own.

Thing with PVP focus gameplay is that the community dies out very fast and not very sustainable long term.
