How'd you get your pins? I'm checking a 1996,1997 and 1998 pin out and none of the pins (description/video) match. Using a BMW Electrical Troubleshooting Manual I found online.

@@Ghost129er At that time I looked it up online, but I always use a multimeter to make sure I have the proper ones. When I was young I installed car central locking systems and alarms at some point and never had any pinouts or schematichs, just a multimeter did the job.

I don't have the car for nearly 3 years now, but I think there's a factory reset option somewhere in the menu

I wanted the hazards to blink. For me it was easier to do it this way without much fuzz.

@@trufinv my instructions say to connect the flasher signal (alarm brown) directly to the cars blue/brown wire on the hazard switch. would this not have the same effect without the extra wires and relay?

As z3 trunk does not lift automatically (no spring) trunk trigger would not make much sense. That would only leave the trunk unlocked after you re done.

Eu USB nu am incercat, dar de pe card mergea decent. Cred ca o singura data s-a blocat la mine. Incearca si cu alte stickuri sau pe card poate-ti rezolva problema.

Am sa incerc si cu cardul.Momentan il tin conectat la telefon mereu cu bluetooth.Mersi frumos de cod!

The wire color coding could be different on other versions but you easily see that when installing. Glad to help.

It worked but it's not practical.

I am not sure as my keyless acces cannot easily be used to do that. It should either maintain the relay open/closed while keeping the button on the remote or provide a channel with a big enough timer in order to do so. It can be adapted but I didn't bother. Perhaps you could use the pinouts bellow:

pspfreaktr I guess you can chose between spare wheel and wind deflector when buying. Mine had the wind deflector but I bought a spare wheel kit from the breakers for around $40

Tailor Gaming if I recall there is a wire coming from the CAN BUS decoder that gets triggered on reverse. Cutting that should do the trick. consult the manual and remember to isolate the loose wires.

Not really sure how to answer that one. From googleing around you can find lots of common issues with the car. The roof is supposed to be tested for 20.000 open-close cycles, but that is just in ideal conditions. If properly maintained, the roof mechanism should be quite reliable. So you must be sure you get a car that has the roof mechanism working properly as in open/close but also the trunk easy load feature with the roof down. Maintainance means lubing al roof joints and greasing the roof seals at least 2 times per year. The parcel shelf motor gears seem to wear at some point and the wiring harness can suffer, but all those can be cheap and easy diy fixes. I guess no hardtop is perfectly reliable, no matter the make, so even if you go for megane cc, focus cc or vw eos, they most likeley all have their own culprits. Aside from the roof it's as reliable as any astra h. Hope that helps:)
