Echo vs. Stihl

I have several properties that I do once a month that require trimming of some longer grass. I am more than frustrated fighting my Echo string trimmer. I purchased a Stihl and eliminated this frustration.

See my latest video on a run test (Quick correction, I pointed to the circuit breakers as the parallel link plugs, the parallel plugs are the black and red plugs on the top right.) I toiled over generators for our RV and after much research, trial, error and returns, I settled on the WEN 3800 inverter generator. 12 volt vs 20 volt is not a comparison
Sorry but that's all Milwaukee has to offer.
What model STIHL did you use?
131
Lo hiciste a propósito solo para que gane la sthil ese pasto es super facil de cortar jamas se trancaria la echo o la sthil
Not on purpose, I have owed Echos for a long time. I still use it, just not for long grass.
Not a fair comparison
the brushless sounds better too, less cheap sounding.
Why would you ever use a 1.5 cp, you cut the power by like 80% Use a 5.0 high out put (Btw the DeWalt is way better, I'm just saying that the way you conducted this was stupid)
Much better comparison
The Redmax EBZ9000 kinda sounds similar to the PB-9010T at full throttle
@@JaLynHarris-f6b it certainly does, however, from idle when you pull the throttle on both, the Redmax reminds me of when I was a kid and we would turn our air cleaner cover over on our two barrel carburetor on our cheap cars to make it sound like a four barrel.
I have the Toro Snowmaster 824qxe, and for most situations it's the best. In the snow you cleared which is wet, it has a little more trouble but still can handle it. Dry snow it chews through like butter quickly, even 12". The Ariens 2 stage is best if you have lots of big snowfalls 8"-12", especially wet snow. Here in Southern WI, those are rare, so the Snowmaster is best.
@@smitastic7030 do you mean the Powerclear instead of the Snowmaster?
You could try to not stall it…. Milwaukee also offers a GRINDER if you need more power… that lil thing is for sheet metal… like roofing.
The 9010 is just the best overall, it's reliable , powerful, comfy and affordable for its tier . Stihl 4mix is the worst ... Husqvarna/redmax great, powerful, dependable but expensive..
Wow, for a hundred + dollars more, you can blow your leaves 3 inches farther than a 9010 lol.
9010 is the best man, oh how I regret selling mine 😢
I got the Redmax 15% off. I had a PB8010, blew up. The PB9010 came out so soon, I knew there was an issue. Still a good blower but quirky. The Redmax has better ergos, and is just more effective and efficient in my opinion. You need to buy and use what is best for you. I like them all, for different reasons. The Echo and the Redmax are by far the best for leaf cleanups, I'm happy with both. I just like the Redmax a little better.
@@Lakecenterlawncare one major plus the Redmax has over the Echo definately is comfort 100%. The 9010 is a rugged mans blower who only need a machine get the job done quickly and not give a shit about comfort. That's why I love everything about the 9010.
Thick ass wheel
Yea that disk on the Milwaukee is no good lol. Ik tradies can dumb but come on.
The Milwaukee had a broke cut disc you can see it when he says fully charged
he purposely binded the blade on the milwaukee💀
The ridige one is better and it has more battery to work with
Redmax 100%
But the m18 if you wanna compare it to a 20v tool.
Like he said milwaukee only has a m12 option for this tool.
Less pressure on the blade and the m12 will get it done
Fuck the battery difference check the blade different too
Ebz 9000 is monster, i bought it. It pushes me back at full throttle.
But the cutting wheels are different
Different brands, same specs. If it's a deal to you, I'll redo it with the same cutting discs. Lemme know.
"I know it's 20v vs 12v..." OK so, cool. Glad you also understand how utterly pointless and stupid this comparison was.
I use this tool every day. Just trying to help others make a good decision if they need a tool like this. Sorry you didn't get it. Thanks for watching.
Not at all pointless he's simply comparing the options that both brands have
I never had that problem with mine. Sure, more power, but for what I use it for, it works great. Not going to switch to De Walt just because one tool is better.
12v vs "20v" (really just marketing ploy- it is 18v) is a dumb comparison.
Yeah it's garbage I'll say it. Dewalt beats the fuck out of it all day every day it wouldn't matter if you put a 1,000. Amp battery on it still wouldn't come close to the dewalt.
Why would anyone even have those toddler toys in their tool selection?! 😂😂😂
😂. Everyone needs toys.
It's good for mechanics im newer in the trade but I've seen em used a handful of times
use 5 amp on milwakee and it will close the gap with dewalt
Pretty sure they probably don't see a need to have an 18v cutoff when everybody just uses an angle grinder with cutoff wheel
I disagree. This tool is way more convenient, quick and compact compared to a grinder. Better for more precise cuts in my opinion.
EBZ9000 is most powerful, I have it. Stihl isn’t even close. Echo is a beast too.
ure right. its all they offer rn, but i have milwaukee and dewalt tools because every brand has its strenght tools that are nearly unbeatable, like the dewalt 1/2 impact dcf961
The battery difference is everything
It’s voltage designed to handle different loads that’s the difference. This is not a fair comparison because they are different weight classes 12v vs 20v
Basically did a apples to oranges comparison but whatever. Definitely didn't use two different cutting wheels on top of the crazy difference in voltage between two likely different motor drive systems.
As I stated, the M12 is the only option for Milwaukee. I have all Milwaukee tools except for the new DEWALT cutoff tool. When Milwaukee builds an M18 cutoff tool, the DEWALT will be gone. Just showing the difference for anyone looking for to buy the best cutoff tool. Thanks for watching!
M12 is all Milwaukee has for this and there about same price point Milwaukee a bit more though
@@memphistennessee264bro those disks are the exact same width
I don't understand why so many people like to point out that tools have different motor drive systems it's very dumb because of fucking corse thay have different drive systems. Like you do realize that the drive system can be good or bad to right? Having the right drive speed with the right motor is crucial.
Bro has a EF5 tornado on wheels 🤣
Idk the Echo and Redmax seem just about the same! Stihl really needs to up the game and give us a new bigger blower
Thanks for the test! You earned my sub! Looking at getting the Redmax EBZ9000, but at the same time I am thinking about how nice it would be to have that side start on the Stihl BR800.
Thanks for the sub! The side start on the Stihl is nice once it's warm. A little harder to start cold. I use it in the summer for grass clippings for the side start, which is great if a customer comes out to talk to you, plus it's quieter. Thanks again!
The side start is lagit! love mine
@@Lakecenterlawncare Yesterday I went out and I went with the BR800C-E. Used it yesterday and I am very happy with it. The side start is worth every penny and it's got tons of power for leaves. Very happy with it and you can't beat the deal support for Stihl. Thanks again for the video!
The side start is overrated. I’ve had both versions of the BR800 for 6 years and as the machine ages the side start becomes problematic and you quite often end up taking the thing off your back to start anyway. I’m hoping to pickup the ebz9000 soon, looks like it will improve my snow clearing. Where I live we put more hours on a backpack blower blowing snow than the whole rest of the year.
@@TOMuirhead Sounds like you need a valve adjustment. On Stihl 4mix products they will become hard to pull start when the valves need an adjustment.
Redmax 4 sure
You got my sub 👍
Dumb comparison, 12v will always lose to a 20v.
Just what the brands offer
This is bullshit
there is absolutely something else wrong with that Milwaukee, I have one of those exact cutters and it works perfectly fine and can easily cut through 1/4" steel. I would be calling customer service and getting a replacement.
It’s the 1.5 amp hour battery for this tool you need at least a 4.0 or ideally a 5.0 high output. This wasn’t a fair test no one should be using the 1.5s anyway way to weak.
Thanks for watching! They could have made it a "Fuel" M12, which would help with power via batteries. Seems DEWALT batteries are much more compact than Milwaukee, but hard to beat M18 power. Maybe next year!
It literally says fuel right on it. And you put milwaukees smallest battery on it. I own the dewalt but this comparison is laughable.
one of the dumbest things Milwaukee did come out with a 3-in cut off tool on a 12 volt platform. I understand they were first to market with it but the research and development team should have known a 12-volt system pushing that high of an amp draw tool was not going to cut it on 12 volts it should have been m18 from the get-go
Good test 👍
model numbers?
High speed Fuel 2567-20 and regular brushed 2457-20
What model of echo trimmer did you use
SRM-2620
Did you send a link of this to rugged made?
I did.
They essentially brushed it off and said be careful. I sold it to my neighbor after the mods I did so and m confident he won’t have the same problem. I bought an Eastonmade 12-22. What an impressive improvement.
Curious what makes the eastonmade so much better. I can see the cradle being an improvement… easy enough to change.
@@diywithjonandpebbles I don’t know where to start. The log lift and cradle are made with better materials, better design so you would never have the issue I had, way faster and stronger. The Ruggedmade is an upper end residential splitter, build in China. The Eastonmade is a commercial professional splitter built in Canada. I can’t even begin to tell you the incredible differences between these two machines. The Ruggedmade was a great machine for me, however, it had a shortfalls. It is certainly not a 37 ton machine. The Eastonmade has a lower rated tonnage machine that will push through far more difficult wood without a problem than the Ruggedmade could ever dream of. There is a significant difference, but you pay for it.
Great video! Which ratchet do you recommend? Still the newer high-speed one?
I definitely prefer the high speed. I actually sold the other one.
@@Lakecenterlawncare Thank you. I appreciate your reply. It's coming in today
