RC fishing Trawler Sandra

My best and maybe last RC lindberg Trawler. I think this one tops the rest of the others I've seen. This model can handle some choppy water and rain. This trawler also goes kind of fast too but I like going slow, just feels more real to me. next boat vid will not be in RSM lake, as I am leaving california. I do have plans on bigger and better models that I can take into much larger lakes, so st...

That Mark IV flexing in front of that A7V though.
He's probably saying "how's it going Captain ground clearance"
My advice is to seal up all the "scuppers" or freeing ports along the hull above the waterline. Do this unless you have the deck glued and sealed to the hull permanently, otherwise water can come in during sharp turns, waves, bobbing in the water and other times and settle in the bottom of the hull and lead to sinking.
Somebody owns that stuff. Fk around n find out
Looks like I'm gonna find out
Seems to be struggling against the current but the danger factor makes it fun

Your camera work needs a lot of work!!!!
It's hard to film when the floor is crumbling below you. It's not usually this bad, I'll have to make a camera demo video I guess.

The ship capsizes and it's laying right in the swamp until it's sunk
I want to see the wreckage you need to use your waterproof GoPro to see the ship
Wish I could, but I'm no longer living by this swamp, maybe in the future.
Is that a model of the John Michael?
It sort of looks that way but it's just a generic model steam tug from lindberg with its stack cut off. The John Michael ain't dead yet!
@@mrbiglarge8820 thanks, I will buy one of those
Try to eliminate friction in the drive line. It might have too much friction there or slight prop shaft misalignment. The prop shaft should not have contact with the "stuffing box" or prop shaft tube along its entire length, but should have short pieces of bearing/bushings only at the motor end and propeller end.
I know it sank.
Picturesque!

Is Chester a kit?
no, chester is made of foam plates from walmart.
Lol! Totally bizarre mishmash of...themes
I think the problem you are having with your *scale model boats* is that you are not operating them at scale speeds or in a scale manner. The real boat, like the Tuna Clipper, cannot turn its rudder to "full lock" in 1 second, it takes time, but a full rudder turn in 1 second at over-scale speeds makes the boat react violently....
I like to goof off when driving 😅. Off camera I tend to drive slow and steady.
5:40 Right, the hull IS efficient at cutting through the waves but it is not a "planing" hull like a sport boat -- or designed to ride over the waves. The trawler hull is a displacement hull. In another video, it appears the boat suffers from massive torque effect (rolling) when the motor is engaged full throttle.
Did you close or seal the "scuppers" on the side of the hull, so when the water rises higher than the waterline, it won't come in and flood the hull?
Scuppers all sealed but that didn't exactly save it sadly.
LOL. Fill up all the available space in the hull with styrofoam cut to shape, or some other floatation. The boat may swamp but it won't sink to the bottom
