    I recommend using metal zip ties instead of plastic. Plastic zip ties don't last long outside in sunlight.

    Love this guide. I am inspired now to do a spreadsheet. I am tech oriented and I like to be able to add/delete lines without doing the whole thing over again. You mentioned the seed company you use, but not the name. I am in the NW, Zone 8b. I would like to use a local seed seller.

    I fully agree. I do, live within five miles of two places that sale soil and mulch but I don't have a truck only a Prius and thats not going to work. I do drool over the prices. You can get so much for much less but unless I make a friend with a truck it won't happen.

    I'm concerned. You haven't posted in a while. Is everything OK? I'm hoping you're just busy. I know how that is, but maybe a quick 5 minute video just to show us that everything's still going up and running. I'd love to see your garden this time of year this time of year in mid July. And the puppy! Who is probably a grown young adult by now.

    Lovely! I feel the same way about hardening off. 😂 Zinnias are my favorite! I did Rosemary and lavender from seed the past two years, and I find they are the trickiest to get going! I told myself I would always buy them at the store now. Haha! Super cool Titanic chair! Never seen that before. 😊 You’ve done a great job with your space! ❤️ Happy Spring!

    Hi. I just came across your channel. I live in Quesnel B.C. I am a single woman who just bought my first home and have the task of building a garden from scratch as it is just flat land. I have two massive lots. I love that you are so very down to earth and do not perform for the camera. I noticed your picket fence. By chance can you do a quick video on the size hight and close up of it to see how they shaped the top of the fencing. It's cute as a button. Cheers

    Cute puppy! Have you used grow bags before? I'm going to use them for the first time this year. What have you found to be the pros & cons with them?

    • @CalliopeFlowerFarm
      @CalliopeFlowerFarm 3 роки тому

      Yes! This will be my third season with them. They're fantastic! They can be a little harder to clean than traditional pots, at the end of each season I vacuum most of the soil off and then throw them in the washing machine on high/heavy with some oxy. If you leave them outside like I did the first year, they can get pretty bad stains/algae over the winter. Pros are that they drain amazingly, provide air circulation & can be easily packed away/moved.

    Thank you for this! I’m also in Canada and cattle panels here are about $78 whereas a 100 foot roll of wire fencing I can get for just over $100. This will help me put together a trellis. Money does matter, especially for how many plants can be grown.
