Where im from thats a chub and pike have teeth and spots on there side
Chub in my area are the typical Mountain Whitefish and Pike are usually specified to the Northern Pike. Both are good eating in my opinion but the Northern Pike are the wolves of freshwater in my opinion.
In my town we call those white fish

@Machoman-u7b look it up, Northern Pikeminnow. Another blue excuse to shutdown salmon fishing but an incentive to get paid to catch fish. Up to $8 a fish in Washington, highest paid person received over $100k in 6 months of fishing.
Northern Pike are all over the US. There might be somewhere within a few hours from you.

I didn't have my hook or bucket otherwise it would have been relocated to the other side of the river where there would have been zero human contact. I had my mom and niece with me so I decided to warn them and keep them aware of the Northern Pacific Rattlers in the area. It still turned out to be an amazing day!
