Regarding the tab issue: I think that when you tab out of the game it auto pauses, it doesn't actually freeze. The next time you think the game has froze, try pressing the pause button.

The railway spikes are quite rare. I would have hold on to them if I were on your place.

Since there are major quests as well as fun little side content you won't stumble across unless you take time to explore out of the way spots of the map I would definitely encourage you to get out there & look around. That said, the DC ruins are a series of pocket areas inside the greater map that you can't walk out of w/out going underground. So unless you really enjoy the metro tunnels I'd say feel free to fast travel in and out. You're not going to miss much in the tunnels except ghouls and raiders.

1:49 Bear in mind that there is a Karma system in the game. Doing good things will give you points with one set of people and bad will give you points with others. Leaving a captive to his fate is a bad Karma decision. However, if you want yo play that way you are totally free to do so. Regarding the encumbrance problem; remember you learned about the fixing guns and armour with similar items thing? You have two sets of leather armour which you could combine to create one decent set! You are also carrying three, yes three steam gauge assemblies which weigh ten pounds each. You need one at most for later but not three!

Watching u play this is funny but have to say u are making a big mistake by just doing the main mission cause each of the main missions increase in level and u are probably already at a point where your doing main missions that are higher than your level would suggest going back to magaton and getting rid of mission in that are

This definitely brings me back. When you begin these games you are always running on low health with low ammo running more often than fighting at the beginning of these games.

Have you made some hard saves? Quick saving is extremely risky with Bethesda games. Btw you're doing great, you've mastered almost all the game mechanics. 3:14:40 pulse grenades and mines are most effective against robots

Another quicktip: if you crouch and stay HIDDEN, and get near someone, you can attempt to pickpocket stuff from them. The higher the weight of the object, the hardest it is. If noticed, you cant attempt again for a few days in such npc. This have a secret tip: you can REVERSE pickpocket by putting any type of explosive on the npc, which will change name to 'live [explosive name]' so it would explode a few seconds aftee leaving the menu, ignoring the npc armor defenses. Nice for sneak kills

Quick tip: since you have the dlcs, is NOT recomended to take perks that just grant extra skillpoints, since by just leveling up you will get those to max. Sadly, is also not recomended to take quicklearner, since yeah, get faster exp, but when you get maxlv then you just wated a perkslot, and the game is so big that is no needed, you will eventually level up to max and the perks with special effects are kinda better than fast xp or skillpoints

One of the main issues w fo3 is that 90% of the main quest take place in a 1/8 of the map and the rest is up to you to explore it. FoNV dont have such problem since it makes you wander all around the map

Exploring the Wastelands while drunk and high....seems wise.

The school is infinitely more creepy than anything in Fallout 4 by a long shot, as are most locations in this game. They did a great job back in the day dressing up these dungeons.

Not even 10 minutes in and I'm subbing just to follow your journey with this game and re-live one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had through you. Nothing has compared to my first play through of fallout and i hope you have a similar experience.

There absolutely was a point to the ant hill under the school. But it's not spelled out, it's just lore and psychology. You have to read the notes and clues found in the school and think how it relates to the game world. There are many locations like that in all of the Fallout games. No quests, just for exploring.

When you are using Grenades you want to be using VATS to get more accurate hits.

You notice the White House is just.. Gone? Where it should be is nothing but a giant crater. Most of the wasteland is well, a wasteland, but that area in particular clearly got hit much harder and seems to have been nuked much more than anywhere else.. Which I suppose does rather make sense.

A scorpions weak spot is its tail that's why it shows 95 ap in vats. And if you haven't noticed autos and some trucks blow up (Nuke style)

I don't know if been told but you hotkey items 1-8 , Stim packs, weapons, etc, by holding a number and click on the item in inventory as I remember .

Vendors have a set amount of caps they can give you. When you sold all your stuff at megaton you only got caps for a few things the rest you got nothing for.
