THE GOLDEN VOYAGE OF SINBAD was the first movie that my parents let me go see by myself at the theatre upon initial release, as none of my neighborhood buddies were available that day. It was an amazing experience, and I really liked the darker tones of the film, especially in contrast with the brightly-hued 7th VOYAGE OF SINBAD. The Cyclopian Centaur has always been an undying favourite! I remember FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILMLAND featuring an article about GOLDEN VOYAGE at the time. I also saw THE VALLEY OF GWANGI on the big screen back in 1969, and I still consider it to be (arguably) the finest dinosaur film ever produced.

The 1981 Medusa sequence in Clash of the Titans is indeed Mr. Harryhausen's most finniest work. After 4 decades it still holds up and is as terrifying as it was when I first saw the film as a kid. The sense of dread and fear is perfectly captured. Medusa has a life like appearance that CGI characters lack. The scene works because you are completely convinced she is real. This beautiful statue is a faithful replica that recreates Medusa in all her nightmarish glory. I'll be sleeping with my head under the covers tonight.

The guy was a real genius. His version of Clash of the Titans is way better than the 2010 version! He wasn´t just a genius when comes to stop motion process but, when comes to a creative mind too, the guy was a real legend. Im sure his creatures will flow throught Generations after mine.

I´ve got all Simbad movies on DVD. Thank you, Ray Harryhausen!!

Poor trailer shows nothing of the book but advertises the film, as if the masterpiece of the film guarantees the masterpiece of the book & we should have no more questions about the book say no more,. Who's overseeing this facile pitch?

Hello John This version looks amazing...does his head rotate and beak move as on the first version starace made? The wings also move outwards a bit on that version as well. So Im hoping this version has the same amount of articulation?

Very nice implementation of Bubo in shining body. Definitely very shiny when the figure is illuminated by the sun's rays. Here the term “showpiece” lives up to its name.
