Can you compare with Kindle Color soft?

I switched from kindle to kobo LC about 2 weeks ago now. I love it. I wish i knew about kobo before i went with amazon... The buttons are a massive plus for me 😊... i find the screen alot smoother too.. only thing i havent done yet is take notes etc

Thanks for making such an in-depth review. I can't remember if you already mentioned this, but do you find yourself having to zoom in a lot to read the text when reading manga?

Do you use any screen protector? since you use the stylus

Not all libraries will let you pause holds. Mine only lets you “suspend” and it’s a limit of days. That’s probably why it’s not a feature. People forget Libby/overdrive things are library specific.

Ahhh really happy that the first thing you said is that libby works on the kobo jaja. I was debating if i should get one or just stay using my phone.

This video was great! I'm looking at getting a Kobo to use alongside my Paperwhite. I can't see myself giving up Kindle Unlimited because of the amount of indie authors I support there, but love the libby integration on the Kobo devices. It'll be nice to send my epubs to Kobo to annotate. I add notes to them in Kindle right now, but it's a very different setup.

Love the in depth video it was very informative even though i already have a kobo libra colour. Sadly, you can't read magazines from Libby on a Kobo Libra Color because Kobo devices don't support magazines from Libby. I also was shocked to find out you can't listen to audiobooks from libby either.

Great little video, btw you have the most amazing eyes, but anyway been waiting for my Kobo for delivery for the last two weeks, does it normally take that long ?

Audiobooks are unavailable on the Canadian Kindles because they have crippled the Bluetooth on Canadian Kindles. I love the page advance buttons. When I set up the top button to turn the page forward, it falls perfectly into my hand. Kobo offer a case with a front cover to protect the screen when closed. This case has the word “notebook” in the description. Your channel gets five extra bonus points because your dog is a part of the channel. I love the squeak toy noises, and you will NEVER have to apologize for them. Thanks for a very complete and informative video.

Thinking about switching from Kindle to Kobo because I love the Libra Color... and VERY disappointed with the Kindle options that just came out. I have the Kindle Oasis, I borrow library books but once the book goes back, so do the notes! So I export my highlights/notes in an email to myself before I return the book. I have not seen if there is any way to do this with Kobo- have you found anything to share notes?

That stylus looks so much easier to write with than the Kobo stylus! (Maybe it's just me, but I struggle sooo much with it)

I’m from the US and I think I would prefer this over the kindle ColorSoft. Plus the white color is pretty

Did you get magazine on kobo ?

I bought a Kindle Oasis in 2020 and I really love it, especially with the buttons to change page. But when I see what Kobo is offering, Kobo is so far ahead - colour, flexibility of where you can get books from, writing inside the book and having notebooks, water resistance, the list goes on. Now having seen the latest kindle releases, I'm also not confident in having something at this level from Kindle anytime soon. Your video really convinced me to make the switch 😊

Heyy! I’ve been meaning to buy this ereader and I also read a lot from the library, so I was wondering for borrowed overdrive books if the highlights/annotations get saved anywhere? Because sometimes I borrow books, don’t read them in time, they get returned and if I borrow them again, it would be lovely to have my annotations/highlights from my 1st hold in there. Hopefully I explained it well 😅 Thank you so much for your in depth review!
