You’re right. That is an another way of doing it and more efficient technically. But I would say if you’re committing to your sounds then you should print to audio first then mix it. Otherwise if you want to have the option to mix and tweak your sounds you could do it the way you’re suggesting and then just print it after separately or to a sum.

Hm it’s possible that it might be deeper than the one in the video. This was a 4x14. Usually they are like 6.5x14.

I think ggd has really good punchy out of the box sounds where as Superior Drummer is more customizable and you have to layer other samples to get something “fat” sounding. They both kind of have their pros but on my metal and pop punk mixes recently I have been using ggd. But anything else I pull up Superior Drummer.

It is a very similar process yes. The multi-out for easy Drummer should be selected and then you can expand outputs just like in this video. I will make a video on EZDrummer too. Thanks!

@@willytonezone You know what I don’t like the sound of is their Side Stick. I use the ones in Stylus RMX Spectrasonics. Have you gotten them to sound good?

Honestly I haven’t experimented much with the side stick but if it sounds better in that other software you are using than I would definitely stick with that.

@@willytonezone By the way after you have created the Open Stack how to you save it? I went to more then user Instruments then save as and that worked but when I called it back up the stack worked but the other kick by itself wouldn’t play.

You have everything stacked on the kick? You might have to map the open stack to midi note C1. Just check if it’s all hitting the same midi note.

Thank you. They do have a tambourine in superior Drummer from what I remember so you would just need to map that tambourine to the midi note that you are triggering with your pad. Does that make sense? Let me know

Oh yeah! I get what you mean, as you stack it, it might become too much or even the samples are a bit too plastic-y but that’s where some EQ and levelling will help out the sound. The two tone thing makes a lot of sense. I try to implement that as well, basically for all the shells but as a 3-piece: attack, body, room. Thanks for watching and commenting.
