And to think here in Australia we use nothing but a piece of bread and catch bucket fulls everyday, only to bury them because it's illegal to return them to the water

Is this shearwater near Warminster, as the last time I enquired about the lakes , I was informed that there was a water bourne disease and the lakes were closed indefinitely
That is the one, they did have a few issues but it's settled and hopefully been resolved, the fish and water are in great shape and well worth a visit!! Tight lines

Cheers Wayne, lovely place. Rich is doing loads of work at the venue with a great stocking program in place. With the rain and mud the walk is a bit of a nightmare at the moment but that will soon clear - around 5 minute walk from Carpark I reckon! He's getting another driveway made for Alder pool which will bring you closer to the lake later in the year. Hope that helps Tight lines

It's definitely worth a visit Rich the owner is always very helpful and there are some stunning Carp in there to target. As the specimen lake and Alder Pool are quite small you never feel too far away from the next Carp - good luck and let us know how you get on if you do go.
