Young Army Divers protect Billions of Dollars in Kuwait
Переглядів 2923 роки тому
When you think of U.S. military divers you probably associate them with the Navy or Coast Guard but the Army has them too. Divers from the 74th Engineer Dive Detachment are on loan to the 595th Transportation Brigade in Kuwait and help clear the ports of improvised explosive devices before cargo worth billions of dollars can be loaded and unloaded.

    Omni air looking empty…bahahhahah! Been there done that. Reality: packed uncomfortable flights, $#!t meals (a sandwich and a coke if you’re lucky) and you probably aren’t getting off the plane to stretch your legs for 24+ hours. This video is a fucking joke…if you aren’t a congressman or wear a uniform with a star on it…your living quarters will be tiny. Edit: I forgot to mention, the guy who introduces the video is with “public affairs.” That’s cryptospeak for “we put lipstick on pigs and you believe they’re Cindy Crawford.” 😝

    Maybe if you're a high-ranking officer. All of us lower enlisted, and NCOs living at arifjan Zone 6 1400 block had concrete floors in steel buildings with bunk beds and wall lockers. At beuhring, we lived in tents with plywood floors and bunk beds. Bathrooms are Porta pottys filled with moth balls and showers were dirty trailers. It's not like this at all. So don't be fooled. These spoiled officers are living in mansions compared to the trash conditions the real soldiers live in. Working 16 hours in 140-degree heat at the spod. This video just makes me mad as hell. They're lying to you troop. You'll never see any of this stuff. Except the zone 6 food court, that part is real. The oasis dfac was zone 1 and all the officers who looked down their noses at the Joe's went there. Beuhring had one dfac and an overflow tent dfac. They had a small food court, too, and the desert diamond Asian food. The subway guys a beuhring were the best. Give you double everything and not make you pay for it.

      @amack075 4 місяці тому

      I think they should add that this for special assignments only. I was at Buehring under OEF, 12 years ago, and most troops were in tents with plywood dividers, or 6 person room multi unit CHU’s. I know a lot has changed, but I’m not sure this is for typical OIR troops.

      @@pinkextra305jetsetter4 Depends on your rank, where in Kuwait they send you, and if it is a PCS or a deployment. What they showed is accurate for Camp Arifjan but applies mostly to higher ranks as as well as civilians. Lower enlisted may get thrown in a bay BCT-style. Then there are the people that get sent to Camp Buehring. I don’t know what it is like there now but back in 2016 E-4 and below lived in tents with at least 15-20 people and E-5 and above lived in containers with between three and six people (some of the seniors had more private containers). You could all but forget about seeing any indoor plumbing there.
