For the record Dre is a beat maker not a rapper, ice cube has written every rap that Dre has ever rapped... On the contrary Tupac writes all his own lyrics and has written all the lyrics for The outlaws and many rappers that have featured in his albums...

If you listen to every song Coolio era recorded he's a happy rapper this song is different and the chorus it says why are we so blind to see that the ones we hurt are you and me. Coolio never recorded a song like this before this song or after this song. Want to know why? That's because Tupac wrote the song in 1994 Tupac was 23 years old and Coolio was 30 years old. In 1995 when the song came out Tupac was 24 years old and in 1996 he died at the age of 25. Everything about the song is Tupac. But it shouldn't be a surprise because Tupac was known for writing lyrics for those that rap with him like the outlaws and so on. Don't believe me do your homework... Why do you think it was such a hit!?

If you remember the image of a man on his way up the mountain and again in the clouds at the very end, you will find that it was Eazy-E who was the last to rap in this song. He discovered Bone Thugs N Harmony and they were signed to his record label at the time. Eazy-E died of AIDS complications. Very young, he was.
