Firepit Upgrade at the Off Grid Cabin

During our well earned holidays, Caroline and I do a revamp of our fire pit. There have been a few close calls where folks have tripped on three large rocks that stick up out of the ground....time to fix! And oh ya...Moose sneaks into a few shots as always. We make it back to the Off Grid Cabin after some time away, we succeeded in tackling some yard chores after a long winter. Blow down provided us the opportunity to harvest a nice beam for the pole barn. Music By: Gary Campbell - The North Wind is Free The 126ers - Who Can Say

Nice way to spend a weekend! Burning and Beers. Cheers!
You got that right! Hope all is well Markus..
Big engine in a compact chassis ...gotta be good😊
No complaints so far...
Magnificent thank you. Will enjoy watching this. Thank you. 🙏♥️
Mag if❤ 😂is a joy to watch. 😅 thank you for sharing your 😅 experiences
Big Blueberry eyes......
He is a looker for sure....guarantee he didn't get that from his G Pa
Hey mom I think dad needs a new drone….
You know it! If this works Im gonna get folks to comment that I need a new truck!!!
Carolyn please let Mark get a new drone!
Thanks Mike...she's starting to crack
You need a MQ-9 reaper drone! Caroline it’s only 31 million US 👍
Thanks bro...nothing like shooting for the stars...lol
i love my yamaha
I certainly have had good luck with Yamaha, would recommend to anyone...
Is your place in the Georgian Bay?
South side of Manitoulin Island, we look out at the big water.
Where are you? Canada
You know it Eh, Manitoulin Island
Mud room will be a nice addition. See ya on the next one.
See, that was my plan all along, take my time finishing the build to see if things fit....and then change before the build is done....lol
Breakup is happening! I don't mind the rain so much. I do not get a lot of it here in Arizona and a rainy day with a fire in a cozy cabin sounds great!!!
Sloppy weather doesn't last long, with the ground still frozen we get these puddles....gonna fix this year...thanks for watching Kristin
Marc, Caroline needs a new drone.
10 4....maybe she won't crash it - lol...love it
Hi, do you do any fishing in the lake? Yes, good drone footage is a must.
We do fish Lake Huron, not too often do we fish directly off our shoreline though...plan on trying it more often.
So very nice to see you guys again! Looking forward to the mudroom addition. Dumb question: when it rains heavily, does the water seep up from the ground too? Or is the puddling water we see in the vid all from the rain? Guess the ambience didn't work in your favor -LOL. Maybe next time. Love the drone footage at the end. Say hi to Moose for me. Cheers.
The ground was still frozen not allowing the rain to drain properly, when the ground thaws water drains quick.
I didn't read your question right...no the water does not come up form the ground its just puddling rain water on frozen ground...every spring for 2 weeks we get this puddling. Moose says Hi back!!
I always enjoy your videos by today the video is going to fast and not able to understand what you are saying.
Thanks Carole....always apreciate honest feedback
Always beautiful, even when it’s soggy!
Bike??? not. Its an ATV.
10 4...its an ATV, and a true work horse....thanks for watching.
Not a bad review I just picked up the 2024 version of the kodiak 700 SE and I am liking it so far, I have always been a Yamaha fan I have had a few Polaris machines, Honda, and one Kawasaki, but Yamaha seems to make a better machine than the rest. The power is very good, the ease of use, and the reliability of Yamaha can’t be beat. My Polaris used to always leave me stranded luckily I never went far from home but that was always the reason why I never went on a trail ride. Once I got my Honda I started to enjoy trail rides again because it was a solid machine, then as life goes on I had to get rid of it. I happened to stumble on a Kawasaki one by sheer luck and then I was back into trail riding again however it was a little too sporty for me to handle in the thick woods where I live. So I ended up passing that machine along to a friend who then he recommended me giving Yamaha a try and told me all about them. I finally had the opportunity to get down to my local dealer and get me a brand new Yamaha Kodiak 700 SE and wow what a machine it out surpassed my Polaris by everything from the power steering, smooth ride, and the low end power like you mentioned. The Honda was cool but the 4wd system was always a bit tricky however with an older machine like mine was I used to use the old method when it doubt throttle out 😅, but this Yamaha just goes no matter what and I have the locking diff as an option so that gives me the confidence to tackle anything! I love it!
I have always had good luck with Yamaha, towed a few Polarises in my day....lol, kidding aside it depends what your looking for, Im not a gear head but love having something that I know will get me there and back, with some creature comforts......good luck with your 2024 700SE
Thanks yea so far on paper the Yamaha is a better machine and the reputation of them surely makes it better for me to ride worry free and enjoy, I’ll post some videos on it once I get it to my property thanks for the reply!
I'll catch your vid once you post....thanks for watching
That’s a really nice machine. Do you have any problems with it running hot and overheating at low speeds? I plan on using it at low speeds for logging and hunting. Thanks for your time
No issues at all with overheating, we use ours for the same tasks...both, our Grizzly and Kodiak (same power plants), have been awesome for that type of work / play.
How do you like the Kodiak 700? Is it hard on gas at low speeds?
We don't find it bad, its comparable to our 09 Grizzly....
Jude looks so comfy in his Uber, I mean stroller LOL, hydration cup in hand. Adorable! Let's face it, he IS the icon, the legend and the moment.😎😎 The drone footage at the end was spectacular. Thanks for a fun update.
Agreed....Jude is certainly the the Campbell thats getting the most attention right now...lol
Your sunsets are awesome and incredibly beautiful but not as beautiful as that little baby!!
Yep..Jude is a keeper
I would love to have a wood fired hot tub at our little cabin, just do not have enough water to keep it maintained. Hope all's well up there.
10 4, nice to have the lake close by
Great video Mark, have fun ,Jude seems to be happy ❤
Thanks Norm, it was a good week, very warm.
Another great video Mark. How long does it take to heat up the hot tub?
When water is close to freezing it takes a good 6hrs, constantly stoked. In the summer it's around 4hrs. Thats getting the temp to 100F.
Definitely one of my fav videos… Jude is probably to thank for that.
He takes after his G Paw
Hey Mark. Great video with an awesome sunset. Just wondering if your work might me missing a few bull hoses?
lol...thanks David, sound quality wasn't the best...we had a good week
Mark where have you been? I hope everything is ok?
Hey David, everything is OK, lots of family stuff last little while...hope all is well, looks like you have a new companion in your profile pic.
That’s good to know. We have missed you on Jes’ livestream.
Ill be back, I miss all the livestreams I used to frequent@@belovedevans
Nice video!! Always nice to go and spend time at camp. Good for the soul
Looking forward to the day we don't call it camp anymore...and call it home
Wow I thought you were living there but it’s just a cottage
We will live there eventually, probably a year out
That road in was a total hot mess for sure! Loved watching the water shots and I think it is so cool how the waves come two different ways! Thanks for sharing!
The road is an added security to the camp, very few wander down it.....lol Thanks for watching Kristin
Lovely update. Really enjoyed the footage of the lake. "Ohhh crap" is right LOL. Say hi to Moose for me.
I will certainly say hi to Moose for you, the lake is very interesting in the winter...lol
Wow seriously intense take care of yourself out there.
Thanks Carole, part of the allure of that place....some days mother nature certainly shows us who's in charge.
Hi Mark, thanks for the video, hope you enjoyed your week.
Awesome.
Thanks, been a good bike so far....still early in the game
It’s so beautiful and peaceful, thank you you guys.
Our little piece of heaven....thanks for watching
Hey Mark, good to see you three back at the cabin, glad all is well. Thanks for the tour.
Thanks, hope all is well
Great video, the camp looks good in the winter. Not good enough to go, but good, nonetheless.
lol....we'll get you up there my son, probably kicking and screaming
Good to see y'all congrats on the new grand baby and your right grand parenting is fun! Stay safe and warm up there we're going through a deep freeze down here even in Texas where I'm currently at. Happy trails!
Thanks, weather hasn't been too bad yet....mind you it says its - 28 this morning
Long time no see, hope ya'll are doing well.
All is well, trying to keep out of trouble.....
Happy to hear from you two (and Moose). The mud room sounds like a great idea. 🎉 Looks like the pond experiment worked. Caroline, did someone from the Safety Dept throw a snowball at you? How dare he 😂. Thx for the update. Take care 😊
I truly didn't notice the snow on her back until editing....thats my story and i'm sticking to it, Happy New Year, hope all is well
I think you should start making country songs… I see some real potential there!
Ya I know, who would have guessed
It’s fantastic that you got back out! Hopefully you are doing well. Great video. 😁
Thanks Markus, camp is very therapeutic....hope all is well
@@campbelleoffgrid doing great. We got two puppies 3 weeks ago and it’s keeping us busy!

Yep, it was great to get out there....truly is gods country!
Should have brushed off that snow ❄️ ball from my back! Lol😂
I realized that when I was editing last night....lol
Hilarious! I was going to comment on your aim 😂
I probably would have missed anyway....lol
You guys are awesome!!
Don't we know it....lol. Love U Mom
Nice to see you guys back!!! Lovely video of the property it looked so pretty!
Thanks Kristin, hope all is well in your world....we've been slightly disconnected last few months
@@campbelleoffgrid do you remember Arni Fromm Russell’s Booxefests … he passed away
Brutal news....definitely remember Arni, thoughts are with him and his family
Those back seats are awesome, especially with the foot pegs. I’d love to get my kid out on the trails with something like that. I definitely should’ve kept my sporty 570. My dual sport isn’t the best trail bike with passengers as I’m slowly discovering.
I have the arms and foot pegs on the Grizz, gonna get a set for the Kodiak as well, they make all the difference for the passenger.
400kms your over your first oil change interval.
10 4, changed it shortly after the video...
