My best friend came to NYC to visit me around the time THE Trailer had recently been released and was just blowing up viral all over. I found out he hadn't seen it yet though so I brought it up on the TV for him. Naturally he wept over it and afterward sat in stunned silence, just like we all did. But then hours and hours later when we were sitting on the subway there was a point where he went real quiet and looked really troubled about something. I asked him why ... "I can't stop thinking about that fuckin trailer, man. That messed me up bad."

The first time I saw that trailer... I actually cried a lot even after buying the game I loved it and the easter egg of the same couple in the trailer made me sad.

this song is so stunning and makes that trailer so epic. Im happy to see im not alone reading all the amazing comments and how this song touches people in so many different ways.

I still remember when that trailer came out and people were like... Bro, what the fuck.

The older I get, the harder this song hits home. Dead Island doesn't deserve this gem, but I'll be forever thankful that it introduced me to it.

How to people make this music without sobbing is beyond me.

Story time, I am a person who has trouble sleeping, I *need* soft music or white noise to sleep. My grandfather was in their room next to the living area where I had gone to sleep at their house and he came out the next day said, "That was some beautiful music, I've never slept so well." He was very confused when I explained it was from a game with zombies in it. Which made me recall the trailer. You see, I thought it was going to be a very sad a dramatic story game. I still loved it, but what a difference lol.

Hey. Just wanted to say this whole album is absolutely gorgeous. Got here by chance and curiosity (found the channel via Free from Valhala Rising), and almost wanted to not leave this comment because I kind of like it when these little known gems stay that way.

Dead Island is not a bad game, but it's a shame that it doesn't squeeze the emotions out of us like its trailer does

I swear I heard this on S3E4 of 911 Lone Star, and it tripped me out why I recognized it, and then it hit me like a defenestration.

This song makes me get chills everytime & this game means the world to me, it really cements and bring me back to my childhood listening to this, thank you for creating this and bringing a smile to my face, this song is so sad and nostalgic.

I would've loved this emotion in the game. But, turns out it's another wacky funny zombie game! How fun. As soon as i started the game i knew it was garbage. Slogged through it and got rid of it.

I remember around a decade or so ago I used to listen to this song over and over, I was super depressed and this kinda helped me explore those feelings.

If this game was like a mix between walking dead and the last of us.. it would of been amazing. The trailer deceived us. Amazing trailer and score tho

It’s heartbreaking that the game didn’t live up to the full weight of this instrumental masterpiece. Not a bad game, but wasn’t that great either. Still had fun, but man, it did not live up to that masterpiece of a trailer. What a shame.

The beauty of this masterpiece is impossible to overstate. This is the voice of God, it reaches directly into the soul.

It was easier to watch that trailer 13 years ago before I had my beautiful daughter Blake. Now it strikes emotion that’s personal. Any piece that can stir such great waves of memory/emotion in you is a piece for the ages. Very happy this beautiful song popped up to dust off those old memory banks!

This piece, in my opinion, rivals some of the best in history. It’s on part with the Schindlers List theme song. Thank you Mr Giles and thank you to the whole team that made this song possible. It will always remain one of the best songs I’ve ever heard from when I was a child up until now and till the day I die. 🙏
