Kings & Queens, princes and princesses reading Solomon's works somewhere in the West
Amazing combination of holy texts lol! The LOTR really brings a beautiful new pirush on the Likutei! Really lovely. And your bekiut in all the details of the LOTR is impressive Miriam!
Thank you! I’ve been studying this text (the lord of the rings) since I was 4!
Your incorporation of a guest to show the concept of havruta is beautiful. There are so many Rabbis simply speaking on UA-cam instead of showing how we are taught to study, with a study partner and thru discussion. Thank you so much. ❤
Chevruta learning to me is the most fun and fulfilling, I’m so glad to have the opportunity to learn with different folks and get their insights and perspectives!
I really liked this lesson, both the teachers were very good. Very good word selection and good sources selection during all the lesson. I liked everything. I think the rabbi with a beard should have his own UA-cam channel on his style. It is veey cool that the rabbi with a necklace invited the rabbi with a beard. Very nice. 🇲🇽🇲🇽⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Maybe the Rabbi with a beard (Avidan) could make a channel with one on one lessons he taked with his chavrutah of the day. Yes he will be very successful 📈📈📈🙌
Thank you Rabbi with a beard Avidan and thank You Rabbi with a necklace Miriam. Happy Elul 🎉
Loved this! Excited for the Kings return to power.
Thank you both for this! This is probably the least important takeaway, but it does soubd a little like Miriam's saying "lol" instead of Elul at the beginning of the video. 😂
Ok but you know who also thought that? THE AUTOCAPTIONS THE WHOLE TIME 😂 had to manually change them all from “LOL”
@@MiriamAnzovin VALIDATED! 🤣
This was beautiful! And nerdy! Thank you for this. I absolutely needed a video like this RN. So now I think I'm going to reread some books...again. It's been ~year since I read them, and why not during Elul?
You're the frummest athiest of all time
Spiritual differences create conflicts, the light and darkness aren`t the same.. Many Kings and Queens exist, some good, some bad, some weak and some strong, some wise and some dumb or not raised or seasoned properly. Some are gifted and some must work at attaining greatness. All kinds out there.
Thank you very much.
Okay I actually love this (and it also has me very pumped for the class on the torah as high fantasy that's coming up next week!)

Thank you both, that was amazing. Strider is someone you can have an ale with. Elessar Telcontar has two kingdoms to run.
Barliman Butterbur thinks HE’s busy?? HA! Try being Isildur’s Heir!
I can't help but share my insight on Jonas' story of there actually being a Jonas Sr and a Jonas Jr in the story, the progeny coming from a moment of fear and troubled waters, that stem from the father procrastinating on the call and the son carrying the legacy and redeeming his father, therefore, both are called by the same name, and the transition is hardly visible

I love this story waaay too much because of how intensely interesting Ash is. (waaaaaaaaaaaay too much.)

The big question is the reason they werent named cause they struck up a relationship that at the time was forbidden just curious
thThe aggaddata on these pages are according to the GRa supposed to point to thinks that would happend in asid lavo. According to the Rashi Moshe Rabbanu was very tall i think he says 10 amot. We can understand the words of these dafim but we may not have the brains to understand what they are trying to teach us.
Aww, your message was nice. I've been meaning to thank you for your recommendation of The Madwoman in the Rabbi's Attic. I've been reading it on Shabbatot and it's soooooo good!!!!! So thank you for that! She talks about this a lot too in brilliant ways!
I was thinking of this book and the narratives within narratives of the talmud! I’m so glad you enjoyed her book it’s so incredibly phenomenal and really changed a lot of my perspectives! Which is a good thing as we know lol
hmm... let me make a theory about that name: Sha'azreq. "that is blue?" "that has to do with a boat?" this seems odd. I'm puzzled and you left me clueless... oh yes, he's a genie from a bottle, am I right?
From Dr. Ronis’ “Imagining the Other” footnotes: One example, following Michael Sokoloff, A Dictionary of Jewish Babylonian Aramaic of the Talmudic and Geonic Periods (Ramat Gan: Bar-Ilan University Press, 2002), 1177-78, is the case of a certain tayyaʿaʾ whose name, Shaʿazreq, is given, who donates a lamp to the synagogue of R. Judah in b. Arakhin 6b.
So there is no bottle, but there is a lamp!
@MiriamAnzovin 🙂↔️ who said bottle? my bad... 😶
@@AdamDylanMajor Maybe you confuse it with the leprechaun in the bottle from "Jack the giant killer" movie. 😅😅😅😅😅
I would have called the episode "The Legend of the Lone Rabbi and his Faithful Arab Companion". And I would have called the Arab "Tonto".
Good night beauty, i'm glad too watch you
I feel betrayed with reality for not show me your channel before, amazing!!! And you're so beautiful.
I love your work as a demon i have to Say your impersonation was quite accurate
Perfect british museum dig 😅
Now, that joke works on two levels so well done!!
Jewish lore cryptozoology? 🎉 I'm here for it! The well deserved jab at the Museum! Desert 🏜 mythical creatures are fascinating! The megaphone voices really called out, I practically looked over my shoulders, granted a ton of coffee! 😅 🫧 🫧 👀 🌎 🗺 📣 📜 📜
Amazing! Yes the cryptozoology is SO FASCINATING! I’ll do some videos about the three big mythic creatures - the Ziz, the Leviathan, and the Behemoth (but there’s a whole lot more than these ones! There’s also a crazy massive lion )
@MiriamAnzovin WOW! My imagination is full tilt reeling, know just a tiny bit OF thoughts from a book review (Supernal Serpent, Andrei Orlov) on the Leviathan of the deep, nada about Ziz and the Behemoth (which the latter makes me think of a bit of Magic the Gathering, if you will, faction tactic of big monsters) and the crazy massive lion imagery alone makes me think of the Sphinx as imagined in "fringe" milieus as being originally the head of a lion to denote Age of Leo, so forth, and maybe perhaps the supercelestial leonine intelligence that ceremonial magicians know well in sigil imagery (or simply the Archangel Michael(? Or the lion headed serpent imagery that's to do with gnosticism? I mean, I'd often thought of these cosmic creatures on the level of cosmogony and allegory. Pardon my college try big brush speculation of actual scholarly topics. Sprinkle a bit of Lovecraftian cosmic horror, for flavor, minus the bigotry, and you're all Set. For smaller creatures, familiars would be an awesome topic! Imps and the like! Did Solomon have an on-call devilish imp, as would a working wizard? pops in and out wafting sulfur smoke? no need thereafter for lengthy summoning and old-style binding?
I stan vermithor

I can recommend the writings of Emmanuel Levinas for those who don't know & are looking for a philosopher's discourse on "the Other" with the side benefit that he also writes a lot incorporating the Talmud.
I saw The Mummy with Rachel Weisz I think I liked it 😉
Thanks for seeing the light in this dark matter of confusion. There is always hope and Popes for the Miriam`s of the world, Lol.
Wait, so . . . those who escaped Egypt died in the desert? But the whole point was getting to the promised land. Hmm . . . There's clearly something I've missed in this story. I'm either too late, or too early, in the telling. Possible explanations so far. 1) They encountered a Boom Tube along the way. 2) The "food from Heaven" found in the desert had chemistry in common with Wonderland cake, and the local wildlife has been partaking in the mornings. Maybe they were lost because they were too heavy to leave that spot. It's hard to go anywhere after a big slice of cake; maybe the same principle applies here.
@@SingularityOrbit ha!!! They are decreed to die in Numbers. Basically they listened to the spies about the giants in the land and didn’t want to go in, so…they never got in.
@@MiriamAnzovin *smacks forehead* Right, of course. The ones who rebelled in the face of miracles didn't make it. I'm tired, and was parsing it as the whole group instead of the dissenting faction. In that case, it's even more like everybody who went in was enlarged. So many theories in my head (was God's plan to lift the Israelites to the giants' level, maybe?), but what's really interesting is the sages reacting to him like, "Well of course they're giants. We figured that out already from the scrolls." The sages who, as you have pointed out, are the class who wrote the story down, so of course they're the guys who know the truth without even having to visit the scene.
@@SingularityOrbit I believe in Numbers, they were considered rebellious against God for several acts, so only their children could enter the promise land. Same thing happened to Moses for one act of not following instructions of God correctly.
@@smillstill Such is the cycle of Numbers. "We're holy and God is with us!" "Oh, no, we're not holy enough -- God's mad at us!" "Oh, but we're holy now! Surely- " "Oh, God's mad 'cause we're impure!" "Why didn't you just follow instructions? Okay, now we're pure again- " "Somebody gathered wood on the Sabbath, we're impure and have to kill somebody!" It think Moses would have been quite ready to "turn this car around" if not for God being in the camp with them, and the Egyptians still being sore about all those plagues.
@@SingularityOrbitthat’s probably why God waited until they got to the end of the desert to tell Moses he couldn’t leave it. “Thanks for all your help getting everyone here, Moses…by the way.:.
Love a good cautionary tale. Especially love a cautionary tale featuring giant frogs, scorpions, sharks or any combination thereof.
The image of just a desert filled with strangely posed undecaying corpses is also very Dali, at least that’s how I saw it in my mind! Maybe there was a melted clock and nobody mentioned it 😂
