Hello world! Oddtom here. Sometimes I make videos of stuff and post it on the internet.
Christmas All Photos Race 2020
Christmas All Photos Race! Perfect Spring and Summer, but walking into Elli's dream too early set me back 30 mins. The second red spike is messing up the horse race twice. Caught up to Sam over the Spring and we were neck and neck to the end. Had to fish for the final berry. 2nd Place! -- Watch live at www.twitch.tv/oddtomsr

CAUTION: Spoilers for the entire series I'm not actually sure if they'll allow me to use this song, but it fits this series so well. How do you keep hope when fighting against an obviously mismatched opponent? Well, when the alternative is death, it's really the lesser of two evils. But seriously, though, how did Erwin not see the titan that was right in front of him? Song: Stay Alive from the ...

Walpurgisnacht limbus real!!??
Eae Bro
Thanks for giving me another reason to hope Walpurgisnacht is NOT Homura! My original reason has more to do with power levels: Homura Akuma, who rewrote the universe, should become a witch on a universe tier, whereas Walpurgisnacht was country tier, at best. A seemingly unstoppable disaster, existing for centuries without destroying the world or even society. Homura becoming Walpurgisnacht--who was weaker than Madoka's original rather than divine Kriemhild Gretchen--would be a serious nerf. My new reason that you gave me is the causality paradox of Homura becoming what made her become a magical girl to fight in the first place.
What if the other homura from the pmmm4 movie trailer is a familiar? That turns into Walpurgisnacht
Okey, latest madoka magica movie trailer just dropped. now it really confirms that Homura has a strong connection with Walpurgis
We're about to find out, walpurgnisnaugut rising is about happen. I think our prayers and wuestioms will finally be awnserd.
Still waiting for the new sequel movie.
I’m guessing a witch’s grief has power of its own and grief is what has taken the witch aka former magical captive.
My biggest question is … when a magical girls soul gem becomes tainted causing them to form into a witch, just what comes of the witch? Is she just an entity that is full of negative emotions that spreads to normal humans without her knowing that she’s doing so … or is she harmfully negative towards others simply because she wants to spread her misery because she knows that it will harm others? Does she know her misery harms others or does she believe her misery is a cry for help? Now that I’ve analyzed that I believe that madoka became the strongest because she believes that witches seek sympathy, and empathy and they aren’t witches just to make others become consumed by their negative feelings. Because witches don’t have a power source right? They don’t grow stronger if they have not a weakness right?
She is the powerful witch that destroyed the entire land… that was the witch that threatened all of society and not just merely one person which is why homura became a magical girl to save madoka after failing her attempt to defeat the witch. With that being said this is the witch that the original madoka kaname was supposed to defeat during the original lifetime because that witch is just like any average witch that the magical girls must defeat since it is their duties to carry out their job as magical girl. So originally the witch was stronger than magical girl madoka and homura was powerless against the witch during their battle, so homura went back in time to “save” both herself and madoka (and even society) from death. What looks a witch to homura and madoka, only looked like a very bad storm /tornado or just out right catastrophe amongst normal people. But homura being a magical girl only saved herself and even trapped madoka into a loop… and homura still couldn’t save madoka either way
I'm guessing in the movie we will get to see the backstory of walpurgis
wait sayaka merge with homura since when did that mention
Seeing this Video with the new Walpurgis No Kaiten movie coming out very soon is very exciting because it just keeps me guessing on what's to come! (I know it's been a long time since this creator made a video, but the fact that his(this) video is relevant even 6 years later is amazing)
We need you back king
Guess we're gonna find out
Homulilly in rebellion at full power arguably can take down walpurgisnacht, Homulilly has greater offensive forces then walpurgisnacht barely, but walpurgisnacht has so much defense.
Walpurgisnacht's weakness is her gear that she hangs from.
I like the concept of Walpurgisnacht being Homura's witch. However I always thought karmic destiny was something that increased within Madoka because she was never allowed her "destiny" of becoming a magical girl and dying cuz Homura kept resetting. So Homura wouldn't have as much karmic destiny because she isn't deprived of her destiny by going back, she remains a magical girl and everything she does in each loop is technically all within "her own timeline." That's what makes sense to me anyway.
I might be wrong but I think in the original timeline madoka defeats Walpurgisnacht but dies afterwards due to physical injuries, which caused homura to make the wish of turning back time to save madoka
Could also be Kyubey amalgamating all the grief seeds he's collected throughout history into Walpurgisnacht. He says he hits the energy quota he needs once Madoka defeats Walpurgis in one of the past timelines. Maybe the Incubators simply devised a way to use up latent grief seeds that have been used up once before. Speculative, but up until then, there have never been any reports of Walpurgisnacht throughout history or even on her way to Mitakihara. She simply pops out of nowhere.
This was a really stupid analysis that wasted my time
...im....
Great insight
The song goes really well with this anime
Must be lone girl that hope to keep party....but Kyubei corrupted her wish and turn her insane...
I have one theory walpurgis is actually madoka wicth form because is walpurgis is powerful and so is madoka
Madoka's witch, whether originating from a magical girl or from Ultimate Madoka, is Kriemhild Gretchen. In one timeline, Madoka one-shots Walpurgisnacht and immediately becomes Kriemhild Gretchen, who Kyubey says is far stronger and will destroy the world in ten days.
Fun fact it's well known that Walpurgisnacht is actually crying instead of laughing like we are led to believe...think of that what you will......
Mixed emotions On on hand, poor thing On the other, ....Homura....
But what about the battle cats event
I probably would have at least mentioned the battle cats version if I knew it existed. The JP version might have been out, but I don't speak Japanese and I don't think they did the event in English until a few years after I released this.
Thanks for replying
Oddtom: mentions Goethe's Faust Me, a German student: war flashbacks
Got this recommended from the algorithm after the 3rd movie was announced.... sus
Walpy is likely a fusion of dozens of witches. She's existed for multiple centuries.
You can't mix something with nothing. There must be a subject, a bonding agent. Walpurgis is 1 girl and it is the green haired girl from the scene 0 trailer.
@@wilderbeast9368 Ooooooor look at Hyades Daybreak. No base individual there.
@@wilderbeast9368 Hyades is even on Walpy's level.
@@NapaCat There is no or. It is confirmed. I read what you were talking about anyway. Her design isn't theatrical, it is more expected of the image of a Witch in pop culture. Therefore, that is the subject, and will likely look more typical of pop culture the more fusion there is. This does lead to an interesting idea, wherein Walpurgisnacht's fusion with other Witches could have perhaps changed her appearance and attributes to also average out to being between the original subject, a theatre, and a pop cultural witch. And even more so when we consider that Homura's Witch naturally takes the form of a pop culture witch. This suggests that the idea of witch fusion leading to an averaging out of attributes between the original subject and pop culture witches stems from her. Or, that she carries the weight of the world's despair, which makes sense due to the power of just who she is missing, which explains why her witch form changed between entries. Woah, thanks for all the inspiring ideas!
@@wilderbeast9368 I do not think the base Witch is Homura. She never had the ability to absorb witches or anything like that. Witches can grow stronger, but not just merge without either PM help or a preexisting ability. And besides, that universe is _dead_. Madoka rewrote it, making it into the current one; AKA it doesn't exist. The Law of Cycles still exists; Madoka isn't a part of it anymore. And besides, Homura never could really seem to time travel to before or after that one moment.
Handsome 😚
Guess we bout to find out in the new movie!!
Who here learned of walpurgisnachtt from battle cats and came here just to see what the fuck it is
5:07 why was Mami's power ineffective against Charlotte?
Charlotte’s nature is tenacity and persistence, which we see in her snake form that constantly sheds layers and chases something she likes. Mami’s ribbon could only tie down something fairly stable and slow to move, where as her gun only does so much damage in one shot and cannot penetrate the core of the witch, like with Homura’s bomb. Even if she didn’t get chomped, they would have been a long battle because Charlotte would just have been able to escape by shedding more and more layers and dodging/shedding off bullets, not standing still enough for a Tiro Finale. Charlotte has basically the best skill set to counter Miami’s tie down.
i’m well aware of the issues with this theory, however, i really enjoy the idea of this. I believe that Walpurgisnacht would best be represented by Yachio from Magia Record. her power is to “take the hope from magical girls” which literally means she gets the powers of dead magical girls. this fits almost TOO well with walpurgisnachts power and being itself.
Yachiyo's ability is to receive hope placed in her as a buff to her abilities; it's not forcible.
Exactly, Her power is too receive other's hope, when a magical girl entrust hope to her, she can manipulate the hope within her and boost her strength.
The title of this song fits the show so well!
More Theory
Never thought of this! nice Theory!
I'm a general WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I m not sure but I think that walpurgis is actually a collection of many witches but I’m not sure how they are formed.
I was actually expecting you to have like 5k subs or more but to my suprize you're so underrated!
Walpurgisnacht is my favorite enemy in madoka magica
You make it sound like the anime itself isn’t a stupendous horror show...
THE FACT THAT THEY SHOWED JEAN WHEN HORSES WAS SAID IS JUST PERFECT
TBH I just wanted to know how the heck someone pronounces Walpurgisnacht.
I think she is from magia record. That girl who looked like homura dresses in blue and uses spear.
Yachyio's witch/doppel was confirmed to be called campanella
Something you said implied that the Walpurgisnacht's power doesn't increase with every timeline, but it's already canon that it does. Homura's doesn't (which is fine because she uses manmade weapons anyway) because she wasn't the focus of the wish. The focus of the wish was Madoka's death at the hands of the Walpurgisnacht, so those 'strings of fate' tie only to Madoka and the Walpurgisnacht. It's canon
Sayaka is a mermaid because it symbolizes a one sided love, her love for kyosuke
I think she's a siren, you know, love and music. It ties into her wish to give music back to someone she loved, or rather, liked.
And kyouko is Ophelia with candle head because she died drown with Sayaka
@@tin0thy but it would make sense since there a story about the little mermaid (the original book by HCA not the Disney version) that about unrequited love It what Sayaka was in the first place a one sided or unrequited love, it wasn't music it was unrequited love.
@@peonyflowerking yeah and I get that (hca is my favorite fairytale author :>) but that doesn't account for the musical aspect bc in the og little mermaid there's no musical element
@@tin0thythat and she is heavily associated with the little mermaid
This went beyond my expectations! Well done!
Mitama is walpurgis
Her witch/ doppel form was confirmed to be called Totentanz
