Burning holes threw the quarter🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
Had a little problem on Thursday when i was flattening the welds back. Thought i had a high spot
Of weld near the front and ended up thinning out that part of the quarter and cracked the welded underneath. Rookie mistake so tried to repair it and made a mess of that so i took my time on it to try and get it right. its not perfect but hopefully i can look back on this in a year to come see how far I’ve progressed 😅

Not really happy with the finish but this is my first ever quarter install learned a great deal on the way so hopefully take that into consideration on the next quarter 🙌🏻

Переглядів 1172 місяці тому
Weve been flat out with the nova recently and tbh… neglecting the corsa. Got a couple of shows lined up to end the year. But ive been having trouble with the front end when driving. Its been very light and drifty. Pretty dangerous when driving down the motorway. So I managed to fined a whiteline anti roll bar. Im replacing all the polybushes for powerflex! There were some very badly worn ones o...

glad to nearly get these fogs complete. so much work getting them to sit right with the bumper and get the inner part of the lenses cut out. time to crack on with the rest of the bumper.

Mint job so far!
Looks like the top of the door window frame has been pulled out to break in. This used to happen a lot when I worked at a Vauxhall dealer bodyshop
@@bealzibub4002 that probably makes more sense mate😆
Had it happen to my Mk2 Astra GTE. Didn’t even take anything the rats.
Could you weld a few studs along the line and use slotted channel nuts and washers spaced off to pull the panel into place
@@qwerty754840 yeh im going to use a pull hammer and claw mate. Hope i can get it back out
Can’t believe your doing this on a night after work. I just want to sit and chill after work the lazy man I am.
Have to admit. I thought the fog light idea was a bad move. But. The more work you do to this car it really is looking good. Well done mate.
@@dhes2809 much appreciate that mate yeh it was sketchy move especially seeing them for the first time on the gsi bumper😬🤣

Nice one fella! Like a max power nova. Sweet. You been welding long?
@@Michael-s1q8x hahaha its just nova gsi parts mate no max power body kits😆 and ive been welding for a year. But about 2 solid month if counting the days😅 very new still mate
@Dany_mac looking good mate. Back when they came out I had few goes in nova gte's. I preferred the Astra Cos it was quick in 16v trim. I envisioned something along the line you're going, so I'm really looking forward to seeing how you get on with it. No slur on the Max power, I'm old! Never thought I'd write that!. Congrats so far mate it's looking well. 👍
Nice job and these archers look better then standard saloon ones.
